sit silently, await its reply?
Would you welcome its wisdom?
Let its message slide
from your tongue
onto your lips
in the tenor of a memory
that rises
from the deepest part

each one with her own secret.
Would you believe me, Francis?

that my metaphor
is purely symmetry
laced within
a theory,
like a blueprint
pressed
between the pages
of our biographies.
