"Give to us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for - because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for everything"

Honestly, I started reading this book due to my admiration for the legendary figure that is Mr. JRD Tata and to get insights into his life and his model of leadership. But this entire book and the life lessons that it gives to us is unlike many other books on similar topics.

The practical examples which accompany the teachings, from various different leadership realms in history, wars, politics, businesses, etc., help nail the teachings exactly in the place it was meant to hit. JRD Tata's unique blend of visionary, value based, courageous and thoughtful as well as action oriented leadership was the magic ingredient that has made the TATAs India's most loved corporate brand entity.

The world today needs more leaders like him, for under his leadership, he and his organisation proved to the world that big businesses can have a humongous heart and yet be hugely profitable.

"MAGICAL" - A perfect word to describe the special brand of leadership that Bharat Ratna Mr. J.R.D. Tata practiced throughout his life.

Bought the book. Opened it but can't get through even one line. Worst editing and formatting. I am not even sure how a publishing house can publish this.

Could have been a little more well engaged version of the book , author has tried hard to bring relevance to the pointers picked up from JRD’s life

The book didnt live up to the expectations. i believe, the book didnt justify the great personality like JRD Tata. The book only talks about very obvious leadership skills and tried explaining it, which didnt make it a very interesting read.

The book was badly formatted and is hard to read after some time. The writing is subpar, and the book sometimes for pages says nothing.

Although the lessons in the book are all pertinent to everyone, the use of examples from JRD Tata's life is a bit frivolous. The author has simply peppered the book with anecdotes from JRD Tata's life and has used single remote events as conclusive evidence of exemplifying certain characteristics. No real practical examples to take away and the book is a clear how-not-to on drawing conclusions from incidents.
