251 books132 followersI grew up in the Midlands, but when I moved to Wales, over twenty years ago, I found a place to finally put down roots. I married into a farming family and embarked on a massive learning curve which also saw me learning Welsh when my two children were small.
Writing is something I have always wanted to do and I can still remember the thrill of one of my short stories being held up as an example to the class when I was about nine. It wasn’t until my own children were in school that I seriously started to pursue my dream. I joined a local writing group which met every Monday afternoon and being with like-minded people was the boost I needed.
Reading romance had always been my first love, and just about every short story I wrote was romance, so I decided to write my first book. During that process I also attended my first weekend writing course with Kate Walker and joined the RNA’s fabulous New Writers’ Scheme. A short time later I joined Romance Writers of Australia and learnt a lot from entering their competitions. I sought out courses and you can imagine my joy when I discovered Sharon Kendrick’s course in beautiful Tuscany.
Behind the Scandalous Façade, my So You Think You Can Write entry, is my thirteenth book and although only eight have those magic words ‘the end’ written on them the others are definitely part of the learning process I have enjoyed over the last six years.
I love escaping to distant shores with my characters, entering their glamorous world and feeling all the emotions they experience as they discover their love for one another. A love so strong it will overcome all obstacles eventually, leading to that promised happy ever after.

Boring.

This one is so romantic and moving, I loved it from page one, MS Thomas knows how to make me feel friends with her characters as they journey to the most passionate and dreamy HEA, one that bought happy tears to my eyes.
Imogen Fraser works for a travel agent and has been through a tough break-up and is now on holiday on a romantic island for work, here she meets a very handsome stranger, Marco they spend a week together a very romantic week, but it was never going to be anything more than a week and leaves Imogen pregnant. Back home in England she knows she needs to find Marco and tell him when unexpectedly she comes face to face with him in her office, what will become of them now?
Marco Silviano runs a huge company, and with his father being ill, he has just learnt a family secret, that may be why he has never felt he could please his father, he takes a break on one of his companies holiday islands, here he meets just Imogen and together they escape for one week only for a very romantic and passionate week, one that leaves him thinking of Imogen even though he is convinced that he will never love anyone.
When they meet again and he learns that Imogen is carrying his child he insists on marriage a baby maybe just what will help with his family, but Imogen has other ideas and here she makes him open up and learn to give up on things from the past as she has, yes MS Thomas has written a story that will pull a reader in and thoroughly enjoy this fabulous story, one that I highly recommend.

The story was a sweet natured one. I have realised I'm prejudiced when it comes to Sicilian heroes. I expected angst, posessivness, macho, coldness which evolves to passion, feisty, possesivness, jealousy and so more more with the heroine. I didn't get that with this one,the hero did have some qualities of sicilian but it wasn't as compulsive as expected. Cute toothache sweetness! Not my cuppa

Sexy, sweet and satisfying!
Imogen Fraser never expected to see the man she had a week long fling with again after they departed their magical island getaway, but circumstances have him showing up unexpectedly to meet with her ... but the surprise is really on him, because he's shocked to see her in her pregnant state!
Marco Silviano certainly wasn't looking for forever when he had a holiday fling, but he can't deny that the timing of finding out Imogen is pregnant with his child couldn't have been more opportune. He needs an heir to satisfy the father that he's never been able to please, and this just might be the time to play his cards!

Imogen Fraser and her cousin Julie are on beautiful island for a vacation when a handsome man sends them champagne . Marco Silviano owns the island but prefers to keep that to himself. What happens is a lovely week he enjoys spending with Imogen both not knowing each others last name. Imogen savers her time with Marco after being hurt by a fiancé that decides a week before the wedding to cancel. However sometimes as much as we want to go forward the past has a way of coming back. Marco leaves suddenly after a phone call so Imogen goes home but is shocked when she is pregnant and has no idea how to even find Marco .Imagine her surprise when a CEO of a company wants to use her travel agency and who appears but Marco. What happens is a wonderful journey of two people one who has fallen in love with Marco, and he who refuses to love because of his past and only wants to marry to prove to his father he has an heir . Sounds so simple but when Ms. Thomas writes a story be prepared for love slipping through all Marco's defenses. An amazing story by a fantastic author I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. enjoy

I really liked the premise this book until the romantic night. Our MCs decide to only exchange first names and their magical romantic week at some tropic island (Hawaii?) ends with a cabana on the beach and a magical night.
Until the condom slips off. Now, if the condom had failed in any way, IMO, you'd better be exchanging full names and contact info.
Of course, our characters don't and of course our h ends up preggers. Luckily, our MCs run into each other by chance and the H announces that they will marry and whisks her away to NYC to prove to his dad he can't get one thing right. They spend like 2 days together and (OF COURSE!) the baby is a girl and H is severely disappointed and shows it at the dang scan. So h is (rightly) hurt because she loves him (after a whole 9 days of knowing him) and there's a big public proposal in Heathrow airport. Meh.

"A Ring to Claim His Legacy" by Rachael Thomas gives us Marco and Imogen. Having met on an island during their vacations they took their meeting to the next level with a brief, so strings affair. That is all well and good until he sees Imogen a few months later at a business meeting and realizes their affair had a lasting consequence. This was a very quick, and enjoyable read.

One of the better writers currently with this publisher. She writes the emotional punch without all the excessive navel gazing and pages and pages of introspection. I liked this book. I read them for a quick fix and lately, so many of them have been DNFs that I've stopped buying them. This author, however, is one that I'll always make an exception for.

This romance of convenience by Rachael Thomas is so dramatic and so intense! Marco is brooding and arrogant and commanding but I loved the defiance Imogen put when it comes to putting her life in order. A well-written, passionate read that doesn’t disappoint.

Sabiendo que su hijo garantizaría la dinastía de su familia, Marco persuadió a Imogen de que aceptara un anillo de compromiso. Una vez comprometidos, el ardiente deseo que vibraba entre ellos y el inmenso atractivo de Imogen pusieron a prueba el autocontrol de Marco que a pesar de los miedos y de la familia, estaba dispuesto a reclamar a su bebé… ¡y a su prometida!

Marco the sexy, rich Italian American with a heart of stone discovers that his escape from reality vacation on his island paradise had a surprise pregnancy. Imogene wanted to forget that her boyfriend had dumped her for another woman so she and Marco had this great chemistry and a whole week to pretend that she was loved and Marco could pretend that he could love anyone. After this enchanted week they went their separate ways and the rest of the story fell flat. I didn’t warm up to Marco, I never saw him as anything other then cold. So the ending was disappointing too. This book made me sleepy so if you’re in need of a sleeping pill, this book works.

Two people meet who have been hurt by people they love. Causes issues in their relationship yet only one was willing to fight for that love while the other wanted it but did not say the words yet demanded it as a reason for marriage n was not willing to teach the other how to allow love back into their life.

I thought this was a wonderful book. Two people were attracted to one another. Attraction off the charts. They had a one night affair. Five months later, Marco finds out he will be a father. Wealthy and in need of an heir, he decides he wants to marry Imogene, for the heir and attraction. His father is ill. It’s a HEA story. Enjoy. 5 stars

November 21, 2018Marco and Imogen are both on an island escape from reality. Neither expects anything past the week. It's so much fun watching them deal with the repercussions of that week and figuring out how to deal with themselves and each other. a great read!
