Redemption is self-served, but is the sweetest when administered by someone unsuspected during a time that you least expect it. After four years of a staggering situationship, Earth finally comes to grips with the fact that her bedmate is uninterested in changing their status. In The Sweetest Revenge, Earth rids herself of Premise, her previous lover, through sweet, unintentional revenge. In The Sweetest Redemption, Earth is blindsided when her life takes an unexpected turn and spirals out of control. Bad luck seems to be the only luck she’s granted for months on end. But, good fortune soon follows a steamy encounter Earth has with Dozier Marcellus, known as Doc to the world, of whom she thought would disappear from her life just as fast as he’d entered. However, she couldn’t have been more incorrect. It was… One event. One night. One look. One connection. One touch. And one unforgettable exchange that leads both Earth and Dozier to a romance far beyond both of their fantasies.

First there was revenge now we have redemption! This was such a good series!
We first got to experience Earth’s heartbreak in book one and I legit assumed that Grey would take a different route with this story! I was pleasantly surprised with the direction she decided to take.
Earth assumed that dropping her dead weight would lead to peace of mind and maybe it did to a certain extent. However, when you have a man that was your primary provider financially and that’s taken from you, you’re left drowning in bills and not sure how you can possibly make ends meet.
At the recommendation of her friend and against her better judgement, Earth decides to participate in an auction and had no idea that her life would never be the same!
I loved Dozier real bad! Yall already know Grey can write a MMC and Dozier was no different than other characters we know and love by her. This was another quick read but felt really full! The emotions she was able to pull from me was just ugh!! I also loved Deeja and the way Dozier rode for her. I had no idea that I would enjoy this series as much as I did but with Grey, I shouldn’t even be surprised.
3.5 stars I stand on the fact that Grey should have the first book as the Prologue to this one, there was no need for a separate book.
In this one we got more of Grey's signature with the detailed descriptions that help you both feel and envision the story.
Earth was down bad, having cut off the man that was aiding her lifestyle months ago, she was feeling the effects of that decision. One night out with her friend led her to the cross hairs of Dozier. After an amazing night and morning she leaves with no connection to him, despite him showing interest. She accidentally runs into him a few months later and that crazy attraction to him is still there, but the situation has changed.
I liked this story, I liked the characters but it felt incomplete. Yes this was a novella, but in that case don't introduce so many topics. Why introduce the sisters plight and then not bring her up again? Why did her friend Katelynn never come back on page, but she was helping her when she was down. Also, I may be petty but I felt like the ex needed to see her happy 🤷🏾♀️ It definitely needed closure.
Well, Earth was not playing when she Aben would be a one and one huh? I was looking forward to seeing what was up with that. Anywho….. although Earth did what she needed to do for herself, she was down bad for a minute, and I felt for her situation. But her girl Kirklynn came in clutch and set her up for her forever.
Dozier stepped on the scene and upended Earth’s entire existence! This man was the real deal, the ENTIRE package, and he wanted Earth something fierce! I loved them together and adored the way he cared for Earth. 👏🏾👏🏾
Totally fell for the story between Earth and Dozier! Their meeting was anything but ordinary, but it's the unexpected journeys that lead to the real magic, right? Despite the story being on the shorter side, it was packed with passion and depth that really hit the spot. Grey Huffington, you've got me hooked—can't wait to dive into more of your work. Thanks for such a captivating read!
Cause I just knew Earth was gone take Premise back or link with Aben again. And she didn't and I love that for her. Earth definitely lucked up with her new man. And baby was he a MAN. He definitely came correct and came at the worst yet best time of her life.
I definitely walked away from this story wanting more of Earth and Dozier. Their story was definitely short but it was so sweet. Kirklynn was also just an all around great friend.
As always, anything Grey write imma READ. It doesn't matter how many pages it is, Grey gone hook you every time.
Earth agreed to participate in a fundraiser for charity, where she meets and entangles with a very sexy, yet mysterious man. Another chance meeting, leads to a situationship, which comes with a life-changing decision.
If you liked Earth in the prequel, then you're going to love her with Dozier. I may be a little late to the @greyhuffington party train, but I'm definitely here to stay. Please go pick up this💎💎💎💎💎 book.
You never know when you'll meet your soulmate. Church, nightclub, grocery store, or maybe even a one night stand. Who knows?!?!
Grey Huffington writes these tales and you feel them. There's always a HEA, but getting to that point takes a lot of twists and turns, but the reward ay the end makes it so worth it.
Who would have thought a one night stand will result in Earth becoming pregnant. Dozier wanted Earth from the moment he saw her. I am glad she decided to keep the baby and her Dozier became a couple. Good book.
It’s funny how we give men so many chances and when they’re not ready they still want you to stay. Earth finding redemption after meeting Dozier just shows that sometimes although it may hurt just move on and your forever may come. I loved this book!
This was good. Grey be doing it. They short, but good. Earth and Dozier. Love the names. I'm glad Earth got a happy ending and a little princess to go with it
Wow! Miss Grey packs a lot of punch in her stories. And her characters have the most awesome names!
There's lots of action in a short amount of time/pages. At first, I was upset with how fast Earth has unprotected sex with Dozier. And then I remembered this is all fiction and "crazy" makes me turn the pages. Lol!!! Earth really deserves a good guy, like Dozier, after what Premise put her through. However, Earth now feels overwhelmed.
Will Dozier, a veritable stranger, be able to convince her to give their future a chance?
(P. S.- Your editor owes you a refund - too many errors in book #1 and #2.)
Now, wait a minute?! What happened to the Earth we met in The Sweetest Revenge?! The woman who was finally sick and tired of her ex's (Premise) bullsh**! This Earth seemed to be a little out of her depths and maybe a bit too reckless for someone who was just looking for a commitment. I was also a little disappointed that there was no follow-up to the fallout from Premise watching the woman he screwed over for years get her groove on with someone else. However, I was happy to see that Earth didn't break down and go back to Premise after kicking his arse to the curb.
Don't get me wrong, the new guy Dozier aka Doc was man enough to handle Miss Earth. He was sexy and talented and already shaping up to be a man who could be faithful and trusted. I loved how he was upfront with Earth, and willing to discuss/talk things out; especially once he figured out that there was a possibility they would forever be connected by a child. Earth needed and deserved that. Now, what I found crazy was the fact that he has family history, as well as supports/runs a charity that focuses on HIV/AIDS but he has unprotected sex with a woman he just met...even after that woman mentions it?! Sorry... I just couldn't overlook that little tidbit, but I was happy that things worked out for them.
This story is all about turning Lemons to Lemonade. After being in a situation ship for way too long Earth walks away from the man she loves because he refuses to commit. Not only is she heart broken but she is broke without him. She is a struggling student now working for her friend . Earth's world has turned upside down and while she appreciates her friend she is a little jealous because she has the life she wishes she had. One night Earth and her friend attend a charity auction that she soon learns consists of auctioning themselves to available bachelors. Against her moral Earth has a one night stand that turns into an unwanted pregnancy. She soon learns this one night stand was with a famous rapper. She quickly makes an appointment for an abortion. On the way to the clinic she runs into Dozier, who quickly learns she is carrying his baby. He wants the pregnancy , baby , and the woman. Earth wants none of it , she has been burned by love enough .
The Sweetest Redemption is Earth finally getting the love that meets her where she is instead of asking her to shrink, wait or beg. After everything she endured in that long, draining situationship, watching life knock her around a bit felt real because sometimes choosing yourself doesn’t mean the road gets easy right away.
What I loved most is that redemption didn’t come from proving anything to Premise or rewriting the past. It came from Earth standing firmly in her worth and allowing someone to love her fully, loudly and without hesitation. No more wasted time. No more tears over potential. No more asking to be chosen. How they met doesn’t even matter what matters is where they landed. This love feels earned, deserved and healing. Grey Huffington closed this series beautifully, giving Earth exactly what she was always worthy of.

“The Sweetest Redemption” book two of the sweetest love series was ok. Unfortunately, I’ve concluded Ms Huffington’s literary work is mediocre & just not for me. Nonetheless, I’ve made a concerted effort to meticulously read her material (aways has grammatical errors 😤) indulge in the storylines & study her characters, yet I’m either confounded, conflicted or consumed with anger. The Sweetest Redemption is no different. …I guess it has some redemptive qualities 😬: a medical doctor moonlight’s as a “world famous” rap artist ..disguised as an irresponsible nymphomaniac or random vehicle hookups…whom intimates he’s going to find an AIDS cure of which his sibling has the disease. ...WTAH⁉️🤦🏾♀️🤔🤨🤯
The Sweetest Redemption was scandalously delicious. Earth’s life took an unexpected turn for the worst after having her ex screaming, crying and throwing up during their last encounter. Months later, a spontaneous night with Dozier escalated much further than she could’ve ever imagined.
There was nothing sweet or romantic about the way Dozier and Earth initially met but their love still managed to develop beautifully. I loveddddd Dozier’s energy. Their big ‘surprise’ seemed silly to me given his professional background lol but their relationship really grew on me the more Dozier stepped up to handle his sudden responsibilities.
I appreciate how poetic Grey Huffington is with her words. This duology made me want to deep dive into her catalog.
Earth is now in the throes of post-college life. Stuck in a dead-end call center job and drowning in debt. She no longer has access to that dope boy money that once helped to fund her lifestyle. An unplanned encounter with a mystery man leaves her to make a life altering decision. Fate, it seems, has a way of bringing this mystery man she now knows as Doc back into her life at the most opportune moment. Now he has a proposition for her to get to know him. Dozier was placed in Earth’s life so she could remain soft. Their path to love may not have been conventional, but the redemption they find together is oh so sweet.
I loved the dynamic between these two. I loved how Dozier could be cocky, but hit that switch & be cocky. I wasn't a fan of how he approached Earth at the fundraiser or when they ran back to each other, but I understand that was his personality. I'm actually glad that he ran into Earth again because I feel like she was just had so much going on that she didn't really try to see the other side of her situation. While I wasn't sure how I felt about Dozier, the way he cared for Earth really had me on his team. I'm glad they were able to work everything out.
This book picks up after book one, but now Earth is struggling after leaving Premise. She is behind on bills and cannot find a good paying job. Her luck changes when her therapist/friend puts her in a Bachelorette auction. There, she meets and has a one night stand with a stranger. They do not exchange names and go their separate ways. Fate has other plans for them, however. Doc/Dozier has BDE from beginning to end. Once he has Earth back, he makes sure to take care of her. I love this book so much. Earth received the love she was asking for in Dozier. Grey Huffington knows how to write a loving man. This was a short read with a HEA.
Yassssssss that was it for me from beginning to end I was intrigued with Dozier and Earth story. The way they meet to the way they feel in love. Even though it wasn't conventional it was for them and meant to happen that way for a reason and the fact that a baby was brought into the situation before they knew anything about each other was very interesting to me. Great read and I loved that Earth got the Sweetest Redemption ❤
This was a fast mover, but it was entertaining. Grey's story lines tend to be entertaining and full of great sex scenes, so the chemistry between Earth and Dozier won't disappoint. However, this story read a little disjointed for me. The Insta love is fine, but from this series lacked cohesion. Anyway, it was fine for a quick vacation read!!! Looking forward to the next one!!!
I love the flow of this journey of discovery between Dozier and Earth. I thought their cute meet was awesome. I'm glad Dozier showed an interest of the life they created, even if they were intimate for only one night. I'm so glad they decided to take the journey together to see what could manifest in the future. This was an awesome and hopeful read for me. ReneeG 👍
Earth’s participation in a charity event led to a one night stand with Doc and an unexpected surprise. Their night leaves unanswered questions and circumstances that has Earth making a decision for her betterment until she runs into Doc again. Spilling of secrets and revelations of feelings make Earth and Doc realize their relationship is that of their own.
When life starts lyfing, it always does it's biggest one. Earth whole world was falling apart but, she never gave up and right around the corner from that storm was major blessings. What we think is rejection is often protection from the unknown.
I absolutely love Dozier. He is direct and intentional. His love for his sister was absolutely heartwarming. He showed up just in time and was greatly rewarded for it.
Doc and Earth came together as a one night stand, but ended up in a full blown relationship with a baby on the way. I loved the way that their relationship played out and I think that they were great for each other. Way to go, Grey. This story was exciting from the beginning to the end.
Earth and Dozier took us on a lovely ride. I loved the intense chemistry from their very encounter. I nominate Chauncie or Khemistri (pronounced Chemistry) as little miss diva's name. With parents like hers', Jennifer just wouldn't do....no offense to Jennifer's. Lol...great work as always and happy to see you got over your writer's block.
I loved this beautiful wrap up to Earth’s story and oh my goodness Dozier #bookbae was everything such a true refreshing breath of air...Smart, Educated, Assertive with a little necessary roughness just the complete package... I love them together I’m glad Premise messed up and she was able to find a love of her own.
