Lucinda lives in a small village in the English countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, cows and sheep. She started writing to fill time between jobs and is now firmly and unashamedly addicted.

She loves the English weather, especially the rain, and adores a thunderstorm. She loves good food, warm company and a crackling fire. She's fascinated by the psychology of relationships, especially between men, and her stories contain some subtle (and some not so subtle) leanings towards BDSM.

First read 7/3/2015 and Second 4/5/2017. Rating didn't change on second read. This book just didn't have enough meat on it's bones.

4/6/2017 I have now read 3 installments in this series and they all rate about the same. There was just enough sex and action to make it fun BUT not enough to challenge my interest and build a fulfilling story. They all ended with cliffhangers. Also, the setting was Phoenix, Arizona and there were quite a few British words and phrasing.

Rogue. That's a name that conjures a mental picture of a big, sexy man wearing leathers and riding a Harley. He's the head of The Wyverns MC, and for the past three years he and his boys have been taking orders from a man named Trap. It's pretty much a blackmail situation, as Trap paid off Rogue's superior officer so no charges would be filed, and, in exchange, Rogue and his club perform jobs for Trap. Each of the six men "recruited" to The Wyverns has a history with military, police, or the intelligence community. And each of them was given a "choice" between prison or joining the MC.

The latest job involves kidnapping the son of a cartel leader, and holding him for a few days. Orlando isn't exactly what Rogue expected, though. It appears that Orlando is a regular at a local BDSM club. Good thing that Rogue hasn't let his membership lapse. *grins* Orlando has never met a Dom like Rogue. Most of the Doms Orlando has played with are so intent on getting to his ass that they don't realize Orlando is subtly manipulating them. He can't do that with Rogue and it throws Orlando for a loop. And that's before the kidnapping happens!

Oh, Lu, my friend, I do love your tales. I really, really, really, hope you plan on writing more about The Wyverns because you've hooked my interest with all of these guys. Rogue is sexy beyond belief, and so hot I swear I needed a cold shower. Orlando is perfect as a snarky submissive with a ton of attitude. I'd love to see way more of these two, and the rest of the guys. Excellent addition, Lu, thank you!

An entertaining read with a most amusing typo concerning the interception of "a shipment of heroine at the border with a street value of twenty million dollars" (p. 56). I look forward to the next instalment.

Not too bad. Needed more...Something. but overall good. Rogue and the Wyverns have an op to do. That op is feisty little Orlando. As the 'kidnap' him Rogue becomes very intrigued and wants the little sub. Orlando craves a Dom and finds one and safety in Rogue. BDSM involved.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

do hope this is the first book in a series as I really need to know more about the Wyverns Motorcycle Club…..or at least more about it’s members.

The club is made up of a group of wayward gay men, who have come from Police or Military backgrounds, and have all left their jobs under a dark cloud. Although you get to meet all the members in this story it concentrates on Rogue, even his name sounds dark and mysterious. They are a band of rebellious and dangerous misfits but they have each other’s backs and operate like a dysfunctional family.

Their latest job from their secretive and invisible boss is to kidnap a young man called Orlando de la Pena who is the son of a local drug lord. Orlando has nothing to do with his father or the family business as being gay doesn’t fit in with the mob so he makes his own way in life the best he can and has a penchant for some heavy kink. As he is a regular at a local BDSM club that is where the Wyverns head to kidnap him and hold him hostage.

When Rogue set eyes on Orlando he has to remind himself this is just a job. It raises the question of whether he wants a full time sub and after a doing a scene with him he is even more confused. These are thoughts that have to be put on the back burner as a fight breaks out in the club and the Wyverns smuggle their kidnapped package out and take him back to their headquarters.

Orlando is not happy when he realises he has somehow become embroiled in his father’s business dealings but he can’t help but be attracted to Rogue. He very much has a brash outward persona that covers a much more sensitive person underneath who is craving a bit of love and direction.

This is a quick and easy read without a lot of angst. Rogue and Orlando meet under unusual circumstances but are drawn to each other none the less, each craving and recognising something they need in the other. But first there is a battle to be fought and keeping Orlando safe has become imperative!

Mantrap is one of those books that should've, would've, could've been better and that makes it all the more disappointing. L. M. Somerton introduces us to The Wyverns Motorcycle Club. It’s a tough, wild biker gang whose members have tattoos, oversize muscles, grrrrrr attitudes and all have a taste for men. The leader of the gang is named Rogue. I should've known right there. He and the gang are forced to kidnap Orlando and to be honest absolutely nothing new happens.
*Should have, not rushed the story and taken time to flush it out.
*Would have, benefited from serious character development.
*Could have, been something special even if we read the story again and again if the author had just taken some time.
I assume this is the beginning of the series but I think, to be honest, it's going to have to continue without me.

Oh my, this book is all action, tough men, very sexy times, and barely a moment to catch your breath; I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Rogue Hellaby is all few words, tough exterior and a heart of gold. And when he takes control he’s all sorts of dominant and breathtaking. Orlando de la Pena is all attitude to cover up the little boy lost hiding beneath the façade. From the moment they first set eyes on each other in the BDSM club it is clear that they are both polar opposites and perfect for each other. But, wonderful scene notwithstanding, Orlando is less than impressed when his new found favourite Dom subsequently takes him hostage.

And that may be where I have my one and only my issue with this story. Orlando went from furious and outraged to okay with his situation and cooperating just a bit too quickly and too easily for me. It felt like he went from hating Rogue and the situation he finds himself to happy to stay where he is, in just a heartbeat, where I would have expected him to put up a bit more of a ‘fight’ if only for appearances sake.

Other than that, this novella was a thrilling and captivating read. There really isn’t a boring paragraph or sentence in this book. I can’t wait to read the sequels. I’ve got a feeling these men and their antics are going to continue to keep me spellbound.

Mantrap opens the series and introduces us to a group of hardened bikers in a gang called the Wyverns, located way out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. They are approached by a man called Smith you makes them a mysterious offer. They are to kidnap the song of a Crime boss without knowing why or what their reward will be. The only thing they are told it must be done the following day. The Wyvern leader is Rogue and they find out their prey is named Orlando and is known to frequent a BDSM club. The club is not unknown to these guys and they make their move. Rogue knows his way around being a Dom and makes his move on Orlando as soon as he sees him at the club. Things get heated up and rough in a private room and Orlando is a good submissive. After a hot session, they steal away with Orlando back to their compound to await further instructions from Smith, but the following morning, they have company in the form of Orlando's father's thugs prepared for a fight. The Wyverns have the upper hand as they know the terrain and have traps laid out. Orlando accepts his new position now as part of the Wyverns. Smith will be around to clear and clean things up and soon the saga will continue.

I really liked this story. What is not to like? Several bad ass biker boys form a close-knit group, The Wyverns, that gets orders from the mysterious Trap. The men are all gay and all worked in some form of law enforcement.
The latest order is to kidnap Orlando, son of a Mexican drug lord. Rogue gets more than he bargained for with the snarky and bossy sub. The tension and attraction between the two men were palpable. The dom/sub scenes were smoking hot but at times also very funny due to the sassy comments made by Orlando. I loved their characters. They are made for each other.
We meet the rest of the men and get a good feel for the dynamics of the group.
It is written in a fast-paced writing style that flowed smoothly.
This book ends on a cliffhanger but as it is the first book in a multiple books series the story will continue in the following installments. I can’t wait to read more about Rogue and Orlando and the other Wyverns.

This is the first book I have read by L.M. Somerton and I really enjoyed it. It is well written, fast-paced and very entertaining. This book introduces us to the Wyverns, a small motorcycle gang made up of disgraced police and military men. They are told to kidnap Orlando and the easiest way to do that is for Rogue to take him on as a sub at a BDSM club. Once he has him Rogue decides to keep him. It will be interesting to find out what happens between Rogue and Orlando as the series continues. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and to learning more about the other gang members. Thank you to the author for giving me an ARC to review!

I like L.M. Somerton very much so I downloaded this story without realizing how short it was. I liked Rogue and Orlando but the story was so short and not enough world building to make it compelling enough to read more stories in this series and that is unusual for me.

I liked this story and the way the characters meet in the BDSM world. I love that Orlando is a snarky little sub who is just begging for a dom that can handle him. And boy does Rogue handle him.

However, I found that once they left the club, I wasn't as interested. A lot of the plot line felt rushed and like things were moving along without taking me with them. Not a lot of information about what was happening or why.

The sex was hot. The BDSM worked great, but I think the plot was left a bit unexplored and the characters undeveloped.

However, that being said, I found it quite easy to read as the author's style of writing was so clean and well done that I was through the book before I realized it only to think I'd missed something so I would most definitely keep reading the series to see where their story takes us.

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

Short, but spicy! Nice chemistry.

In this shortie we meet Rogue - leader of an MC club and a Dom - who must kidnap Orlando, son of a drug dealer and a sub. The two meet at a BDSM club, and to distract Orlando's bodyguards, Rogue engages in a scene with him. Wonderful chemistry and they do well together. Then Orlando is taken to the MC club, and they continue to explore. Rogue decides he wants to keep him as his sub, and wow, they are just explosive. Hot. Hot. Hot. Lots of tenderness despite the power structure. Loved the boys.

I liked this more than I thought I would based on the first few pages which I found to be overloaded with adjectives and colorful descriptions. The author's writing--which was actually quite good--settled down, and I truly enjoyed this entertaining and spicy read. I'm Interested in checking out more of Somerton's work.

Only marking it as DNF because I've not been able to return to it for more than 3 months now. Nothing wrong with the book, just my work schedule, and starting all over from the beginning just feels like a chore right now. Will try again later.

The first is the series of 5 includes BDSM, violence, drug lords and manipulative bastards.
So far I am enjoying this read. There is plenty of action and a very unusual motorcycle gang. For all their fierce reputation the Wyverns are a not as they appear. First, they are all gay. Enough no more spoilers.
Well worth reading I hope to be caught up by the time #5 comes out on the 17th. Read it!

A great start to a promising series. You have drama, action, suspense, and hot BDSM sex all with some very hot alpha bikers. Rogue and Orlando are great characters with a strong attraction and great connection right from the start. They meet in a BDSM club and the last thing Orlando expects is that Rogue is actually there to kidnap him! Can't wait for the next one in this series.
