Irresistible Omegas #3

Beta's Surrender

Rate this book
Sven’s heat is coming, and with his mutative gene, the omega is warned he needs an alpha. The only alpha he trusts is Grayson, who is twenty years his senior. He’s also the only one who’s not afraid to take on Sven’s lover, Lars. What is supposed to be just sex turns into much more for Sven. But what alpha would want two boys?

Lars vowed he’d always take care of Sven, but when his lover’s heat comes, he’s not enough. He has to accept the help of the alpha he hates more than anyone—with the exception of his brother Enar, maybe. When Grayson figures out what the beta really craves, Lars pulls his defensive walls up. Alphas can’t be trusted, no matter what promises they make. Not even if they can offer what he never knew he needed.

Grayson never expected to connect with the sweet omega, and even less with the bratty beta who seems out to defy his authority at every chance. But there’s a reason for Lars’s insolent behavior, and soon the combination of these two boys becomes irresistible for Grayson. Can he be the Daddy these two need?

Beta’s Surrender is an MMM mpreg romance and the third book in the Irresistible Omegas series. It is not a stand-alone but continues the story from the first two books. It ends with an HEA for our three men, but the overall storyline will continue in the next books.

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

I so love this series!!

The most surprising thing in this book that features other characters’s love story than before was we besides the three new ones we still get the POVs from all members of the original foursome —especially in the second half of the book. They push the the overarching plot even further and we as readers stay connected to them. I didn’t find it distracting or overwhelming; I loved it.

Besides that we see a new threesome form. And a kinky one at that:

The boy didn’t want a Dom. He needed a Daddy.

Grayson: alpha (43), Father of his grown sons Bray and Lucan

Lars: beta (22), brother of Enar, stepbrother of Sven

Sven: omega (20), has the Melloni-gene, stepbrother of Enar and Lars

A reluctant and bratty beta and an eager to please omega find their firm-handed Daddy and alpha. Daddy/boy kink is not working for me every time but this I liked very much.

And all of them find their place in the still growing Hayes pack. 🐺

⇢ on to the next book and a new threesome of fated mates.

side note: I now needed to make a list with all the characters who get a love-story in the books and boy are that many —with 10 books in this series and already 4 in the spin-off series *lolll And let me tell you, I’m already fired up for a few of them. I have a long and hopefully phenomenal reading journey ahead of me with this.

“How could this simple act be arousing and yet bring tears to his eyes? ”

It's only the third book, but I can already see the signs of how it is going to be a struggle to manage to develop new relationships, while trying to tie up existing ones, without them taking precedence. It's present in how the OT4 pack still carries the weight of the narrative, while forty-three-year old alpha, Grayson's new arrangement with Enar's younger brothers, twenty-year-old beta, Lars - 'prickly to everyone but capable of sweet love and sacrifice when it came to Sven, the twenty-year-old omega, took a bit of a backseat in the plot. It didn't help either that most of what I would've liked to have seen in terms of the Beta's Surrender to what Grayson instinctively recognized in Lars took place off-page. And that really hurt my belief in their dynamic, while also being invested in it, to the point that it was not only rather tame, but boring, as well. 😐

I told you: I’ve made myself the boss of you. I volunteered to Palani to make sure you stay out of trouble. And in case you were wondering, I always take my promises seriously.

I know it's not really fair of me to be annoyed by how knowledgeable Grayson was of recognizing what it was that both of them needed to feel more secure in themselves, but I never quite warmed up to him or how their relationship was depicted. It's honestly nothing to do with the three of them and their unique interests, but the writing was very stale in regards to depicting it. 😕 I mean, it had the prospects of being a deliciously wild and still delicately handled concept - 'a beta and an omega, who’d been close for years, who were involved with each other sexually…who were in love with each other, judging by the looks he caught between them…' That both Lars and Sven wanted to be submissive and needed a Daddy to care for them, and while Lars was more of the reluctant one to admit it - having difficulty expressing how exactly he wanted to be subdued and if it was right for him to want it that way, Grayson - whose alpha wasn't past that hormonal shit and was a traitor to his own desires - was very patient and considerate of both of them. 🥺 He knew he had been given a gift of being the one in charge of them, and he knew he couldn't take advantage of it, but respect it, while also allowing them to feel and accept what it was about them that they craved. What it was that only he, as the senior alpha, could give them.

I seem to have a soft spot for betas, it would appear. 🥲 As rude as 'old enough to take care of myself and make my own decisions' Lars acted in front of others, he was conflicted with his own feelings and his role as Sven's once and only person to turn to; having to hand over the reins to Grayson was hard, but it's even harder to admit that he does want something from Grayson, too. A yearning to be loved and held and just comforted - an emotion that he never got to have from his own father - hence the seemingly Daddy issues that Grayson realized from the start in this fascinating contradiction. 😟 Despite their rather ill-tempered start, Grayson eventually soothed the beast in him, and brought him towards him with a loving warm touch. But, what the writing failed to do at numerous times was not give me enough scenes of Grayson caring for Lars - holding him in the way that he wants to feel loved and safe. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 'The boy didn’t want a Dom. He needed a Daddy. It had rushed through him, this knowledge. How he wanted to be that for him, for both of them.' It's not enough that I hear about it only once, and then, it's only ever brought up in passing. The moments passed between the three of them were never really focused on how they deepened their bond and built their trust, but rather just proving it - does that make sense? It just felt like all the steps leading to their connection and trust with each other was never the focus, rather the destination was only what mattered. 🤨

I would love to give you that, for you to experience what it’s like to be safe, loved and cared for. And I know that others may have their opinions, but I really don’t care. This is between you, me, and Sven, and I think what we have works, don’t you?

Despite my shortcomings in the rather lackluster way in which their relationship was depicted, I still have to admit that it was rewarding and cathartic to see Lars and Sven be on the receiving end of happiness, as Grayson - through tender loving and patient kindness - showed that he was a worthy partner for the both of them. 🥹 Even though his role as their alpha was met with fierce disapproval from his own children, due to their significant age gaps, he took the role he was given very seriously. Sven, 's a born submissive with an innate desire to please definitely made Grayson's responsibility a more challenging one to ensure that he never put the omega in a position he wasn't comfortable in, while with Lars, he knew he would have to earn his surrender and his way into his heart - for the beta first had to accept the part of himself he was having difficulty in realizing. 😟 'He wouldn't submit without a fight.' And once Lars overcame his own doubts and shock over what it was that made him feel so loved - ' as much as Lars wanted to resist Grayson finding out the truth, he wanted answers even more?' - their relationship slowly became a more gratifying one - 'an obedience born in a deep desire to please, to make Grayson happy'. But, the sex was still rather - *sighs* - still very bland, lacking any real conviction or heat, which was another disappointment. They were also rather sparse moments, too, not really adding to their dynamic, which, I also felt was rather disheartening, seeing how with Lars' interest in spanking and the need to be dominated could have played out in a much more captivating manner. Oh well... 😮‍💨

Every time he thought they were getting a step closer to unraveling the whole thing, it got all tangled up again. It was so damn hard to find enough information to move forward with and untangle this holy mess.

As the mystery behind the omega gene deepens, more and more characters are introduced to the foray and eventually join Lidon's pack, hinting at more distinctive relationships to come. It does get a little alarming to keep track of each title and such, but it's comforting to know that they aren't alone in their fight for protecting themselves and finding out the truth. While I do think that having certain povs still dedicated to the OT4, which hurt Grayson and co's. relationship, it was nice to see them still as caring and affectionate with one another. 🫶🏻🫶🏻 With Vieno's pregnancy and the concern of Lidon's shift to full wolf, there is a trepidation of what potentially lies in store for their future in their respective titles, but the ending was a heartwarming one - one that depicts how their different, but real love is what binds them all as one. 'The three of you, you are my life. I was so lost before us. I can’t believe I get to be a part of this.' I liked Enar getting the closure he so desperately needed with his brother, I enjoyed seeing Vieno still as treasured by his precious mates, I appreciated Lidon stepping up as his role as head alpha, I especially loved Palani - the beta who really ties all three of them affectionately together and the cornerstone for trying to get as much information as possible into the omega gene. ☺️ Seeing each of them lose a part of their lives by building up their own fortress - well rather, plantation, was a comforting touch, and I am curious to see how the other characters introduced will embrace their part in this new growing alliance - nay, pack, that's being forged - one that is really history in the making. 💫🐺

Once again, I enjoyed the heck out of this book.

It took me a bit to get into the relationship between Grayson and Lars, which is a bit different than what they have with Sven, but in the end I still enjoyed them and the differences that all seem to fit together to make for a happy triad.

I was thrilled that there was still plenty of time spent with the original four. The underlying story is moving forward and every answered question seems to open up another new one. The members of the Hayes pack are growing and there are a few people I'd love to see together.

That ending though! Man did it leave me thrilled and hanging and so ready for more.

3 okay stars!! 👍🏻 I really didn’t like any of the MCs in the book, Lars, Sven or Grayson. I got bored everytime they were on page; but I loved the growth in the overall story, loved the awesome-foursome of Lidon, Enar, Palani and Vieno and loved how the world is building and shifting as the pack becomes bigger in numbers and area. 😍
I’m very invested in the series for sure, but feel that I may not like all the books equally, because the MCs have to appeal to me and so far the original gang of 4 are a high goal to reach.
Still highly recommended to all fans of the Omegaverse, but none of these books are standalone. 👍🏻👍🏻

Might be the 1st and the last novel I read from that serie. I loved the other 2 but Grayson is one of the worst book character I have ever read about. He puts his pack before his sons. He is arrogant and really annoying.
Parts of the book were uncomfortable to read and other parts just Nader made really angry. This read was not enjoyable at all, I wish I could read more about the other characters of the book but Grayson's character ruined it for me.

I didn’t care much for this last book. It has a 3 some with a Daddy/boy kink. Since that does nothing for me, I didn’t like it as much as the 2 previous books. We do get to see our four guys and they are very much part of the story, but I think it could’ve been better.

Absolutely brilliant omegaverse romance and a great addition to the series

This book is exceptional, it manages to give Grayson, Lars and Sven their own unique romance while still trying into the wider events which happened in books two and three of the series.

It's beyond hot, the three men together blaze like the brightest star and there's so much love in this book it warms the heart.

I honestly can't wait to see where Nora takes this series next!

Wasn't really a fan of the thruple this one focused on. But we still got to see Lidon, Enar, Palani, and Vieno so I was happy enough. And the continuation of the plot is heating up and getting even more interesting.

oof. not a fave. i really didn’t care for grayson at all, even though i was super interested in him from the second book. the dynamic just didn’t work for me at all. sven was just there i guess. i did really like lars though.

the stars are basically all for our core four group who continue to carry and slay. palani, you already know.

Okay teaaaaaaa, this one was good. Since it was a new mmm couple I thought the original plot was going to be lost in the shuffle but it wasn’t; I also thought the shifting perspectives was going to be overstimulating or badly done—as I find myself always struggling with novels that do the multiple pov thing—but this was easy to follow!

Glad this series got better! Excited for the next one

I didn't read the blurb before picking this up, so I was very surprised this was a Daddy/boy threesome. That could have been good but the execution was severely lacking.

First off, this book hardly even focused on Grayson, Lars, and Sven. They felt like secondary characters in their book because a lot of the focus was on Lidon, Enar, Palani, and Vieno. We even spent a lot of time in their POVs. There was a great deal of attention on the corruption scandal and Vieno's . Due to this, I felt like I barely got to know Garyson, Lars, and Sven and certainly didn't believe in the progression of their relationship, their love, or the Daddy/boy part of their relationship.

Their relationship wasn't developed enough at all and the Daddy part felt like it came out of left field. I didn't feel connected to the characters emotionally and consequently didn't believe in their relationship. This was a huge fail IMO - their book should have focused on THEM. The corruption stuff should have been learned by the characters secondhand rather than spending so much time in the foursome's POVs.

I found myself pushing to finish the book and skimming toward the end just so it would be over. There wasn't nearly enough closure about Grayson, Lars, and Sven either. We did see , so it ended on a cliffhanger. I hope that in the rest of the series, the books actually focus on the couple.

Series:
Book 1: Alpha's Sacrifice → 4 Stars
Book 2: Alpha's Submission → 4 Stars
Book 3: Beta's Surrender → 2.5 Stars
Book 4: Alpha's Pride → DNF

I can't praise this series enough. I haven't been so invested in a series like this in a long time. Yes, each book (or two) focuses on a new couple but the stories of previous couples continue in each story as does the development of the overarching plot. I feel like I'm reading this gripping saga that portrays the joys and trials of the founding of the Hayes wolf pack... which is exactly what this is.

In this story we focus on a Daddy/ boys relationship between an older alpha named Grayson and two stepbrothers, Lars (a beta) and Sven (an omega). Lars is extremely protective of his younger brother and understands that he needs an alpha to be with him during his heats but is so prickly that no alpha would want to allow him to be present with them while they have sex... and there is no way he'd allow his defenseless brother to be alone with an unknown alpha.

When their brother Enar suggests they stay with him at the ranch he lives at with his mates he meets an older man who isn't willing to put up with Lars' shit and so the story goes from there.

Grayson surpried me. Despite how uncomfortable it made their brother Enar and his own sons Bray and Lucan (both of whom are older than Sven and Lars) he recognized how much these "boys" needed his love, support, and discipline and wasn't afraid to give it them. Even with Lars fighting him the whole time.

The pack is continuing to grow and I get excited every time I run into another character that I recognize from the spin off. The ending of this story was so satisfying and I'm already ready to jump into book four.

Edit: After reading a few reviews I noticed that a few people either didn't Iike the D/b dynamics or just felt uncomfortable with it. If you fall into this category but want to continue the series I'll say that the author does a great job separating the two plots by chapters. If you don't want to read about the featured relationship you can easily identify which chapters to skip.

Holy hell… Lars, my friend, you are one annoying beta. Jesus hahaha I couldn’t with him, the disrespect and brattiness he was showing for almost 60-70% of the book was too much.

Also it felt like this book was the original foursome with a hint of a new couple (Grayson, Lars and Sven) always having sex with some daddy/boy kink/…puppy play kink…?

Overall compared to book two this one wasn’t as enjoyable. I am questioning continuing… I have about 7 more books to read and that is a big chunk of my time… I guess you’ll see based on my next book if I continue with the series or not. Haha

Almost perfect.

I basically got everything I expected from this installment, even more in fact because, I thought I wouldn't want Lidon and his mates POV anymore. I even said in my review of the previous book that it would be too much. Well it wasn't. We got another trio's POV here, but also the original foursome', so this was a multi-POV book. lol And I really enjoyed it, I would've seriously missed those guys if I didn't get to see them. Palani continued solving the mystery. And gah! That brain of his. I just love his mind.

I say almost perfect, because... daddy kink. The whole kink thing was actually really good, except I felt we skipped a step. Lars was very adamant. He denied his own feelings, his need for a Daddy. Everything was going at the right pace...he slowly thawed out....and the next thing I know, he gave in. Which is okay, that was the goal, but one minute he was still protesting, the next he obeyed Grayson's every command. There was a 4-month time jump, maybe that was the problem, I'm not sure. I expected to see an emotional breakdown from Lars, or something grand.

I gotta admit I didn't like Grayson in the previous book. He's very smart and wise, he knew everything. Such a calm and collected guy. Ugh! I'm probably just jealous. :D But I also think, because of those traits, he was the perfect Daddy for the boys.

Also the ending was just a tad bit too dramatic. I don't want to spoil it, because it's a big part of the plot, but I envisioned it differently. It is supposed to be a big thing, but it was also cheesy.

Overall I really enjoyed it. It's a great continuation of the series.
Bray has his work cut out for him. I hope at least. I love sweet and cute omegas, but Bray deserves a defiant one. khikhkkhi lol

4.25 stars from me. Daddy kink is definitely not one of my faves, although I did like the way it was sensitively handled in the story, and the accompanying BDSM element was fairly mild. Our new little polyamorous grouping had issues to start with...OK, Enar's brother Lars mostly had trust and control issues [Are we surprised?? Not at all], but things seemed to be working out just fine towards the end....

As far as my own true Alpha, Omega and two fave betas are concerned, things are moving on at a fast pace. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as though Lidon will get his detective job back thanks to trumped up charges and false evidence, although Palani has already sorted out what he's going to do in future thanks to Grayson's suggestions, and Enar's new free clinic is practically finished....good job too in view of what happens with Vieno at the end of the story 😁. I love the way new characters are being added to the pack all the time. I can also see the union lawyer Duer [??] joining them in future... but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and I totally expect someone to betray them all at some stage 😕 ...it's bound to happen surely??

There were a few typos in this one unfortunately, but not enough to interrupt your enjoyment of the story, and I loved the fact that future books were mentioned at the end, not book. Yay!!

DNF at 31%. Totally and irrevocably ruined the series for me. A pity, because the general plot was interesting and I'd love to see where it was going, but I just can't finish this one, or read any further book with this Grayson fella waltzing around and bullying people.

I'm loving this series from Nora Phoenix. This story continues on with the relationship between Lidon, Vieno, Enar and Palani but focuses on Grayson, Sven and Lars as the main group.

Sven is approaching his first heat & needs an Alpha to help him ride it out. Lars is his long time companion but unable to help Sven the way he needs. Sven chooses Grayson, an Alpha old enough to be his father.

Lars struggles with authority, lashing out at times but he's trying to do better. Grayson begins to keep him in line.. Poor confused Lars, he's unwilling to admit what he wants from Grayson.
"His mind was swirling with the why and the how and the what the hell are you doing part of what was happening."

I'm really enjoying the continuing complexities of the overall story. Finding more about the Meloni gene and the growing of the pack in which I have become quite invested in. I really look forward to the next instalment of the series.

Great series

I liked this book. I really did. But this book was suppose to be about Grayson, Lars and Sven. I feel like only half of the book was actually about just them and the rest was the continuing story of the first two books. I wish more was about just the triad. A lot of the screens between the three seemed repetitive. Almost all the screen were about how Grayson showers with Sven every morning while Lars waits. I just wish there was more about them.

Now this is what a shifter story should be like. These ladies have captured the true essence of the shifter world in this one installment of the series.

We see a pack coming into it's own and struggling to keep it together. Living in a world that has lost the ability to shifter into their wolf counterparts. With the dawn of a new era approaching they have to fight to survive when people are coming at them from all sides. The waters are calm right now but all hell is coming on the horizon.

Great read. Highly recommend!

I didn’t quite like this book as much as I did the previous one. I skimmed much of the interactions between Grayson, Lars and Sven. I just didn’t care for their dynamic much. What I did like was the portions that focused on the original foursome. I’m glad that the author focused on both and not just the new threesome. We still haven’t gotten very far with the mystery portion of the story. The next book is about Bray and he wasn’t my favorite character so we’ll see where the author takes the series. Overall, I loved the portions with Lidon, Vieno, Palani, and Enar and not so much Grayson, Lars and Sven.

The blurb said this was a book about Grayson, Sven, and Lars. They’re only in about 30% of the book. The rest is still about the foursome from the first two books. It needs to be about either/or, because I felt like I was missing out on so much between Grayson and his boys because their connection kept getting interrupted by the other plots. And there was no Alpha claiming, which in books like these is just blasphemy. This is a fascinating series, but if this is how they’re going to continue, I’m not sure I’m going to keep reading.

The relationship between Greyson, Sven, and Lars was at the centre here while the pack continues to grow around them. I liked the triad but just never got as invested as I am in Enar, Lidon, Palani and Vieno. I love this series and after that ending I can't wait to see where it goes.

i loved the 2 stories Weaving together hearing the baseline of the original 4 some of the Haze pack + getting to know Grayson Swen & Lars and seeing them blossom and unfold. and bloom eventually

what i missed was Lars & swen studying daddy/boy d/s dynamics online and asking way more question.
we are getting told they are all smart people but when push bcomes to shove they don't look things up, ask minimal questions nor ask help.. the 2 boys could have done research or even talked to eachother.
Lars doesn't trust grayson yet he could have asked so many other people cus he is used to stand on his own 2 feet and has the balls to go look for the missing link in bdsm clubs thats very brave! at what 19 20?
he has balls big enough to be a brat to lidon so he should be ballsy enough to go hunt for answers. Lars could have gone to talk to people in the club he went to before to find out more. it makes no sense to give full controle now knot how things work and why..🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ esp for Lars
Grayson also could have asked his old mentor for advise instead of keep gambling amd risking all. twice..

but apparently it was needed to keep Lars confused.. wich Grayson needed for him to subbmit which..rubbed me the wrong way so bad..
Grayson could have gave him the order to learn more about bdsm sd and himself to make informed decision..
thats true consent imho instead of tempting the boy to give giving in to lust and then going down under in confusiin jugment guild shame loathing or God forbid depresion and self-hatred that was a super dangerous gamble he made. and that doenst look good on him.

I wonder why the old neighbors don't join only to give their lands.
they know so so so much that knowledge should be utilized a big waste of experience of you ask me.. and that all costed the book 2 stars..

still gotn4 stars cus I love all new new people adding to the pack. the foreshadowing and hints to shifter society

I am a fantasy addict to begin with so paranomal books have always 1 legg up in my ratings..

I i still love this universe + am so intrigued who the bad guys are and who is pulling all the strings. how and who are going to shift and how far in the future wil this serie go(or even back to grandpa days for a prequel?) .
so thoes questions and needs to see it happen will probably make read every last book.. I loved the balsy and kinky Boys series (most of them) but haven felt the yearing for other Nora Phoenix books untill this one. and I am still fully enthralled.

ps the sexual parts or these stories are way below par for me the excitement the chemistry the buildup or sexual tension or the relieve of getting of and having good sex isn't in it.. its a few act here and there discribed lackluster or after the fact with no emotional layer nor any inner dialogueabiut how the men feel so thats super sad it feels like the super old porn magazines with photos stories..you know they did someting but miss all the adrenaline serotonin of single it trough the characters eyes and miss being swept up in the lust and romance

but in this case I'm not reading this series for the sex apparently (thats a new one for me lol) . pure for the story and ending .. I have to know what happens next..pregnancies time jumps full shifter society? dire repercussions for the people reasonable for all the assaulted and death omegas..

there is one autor that did fantasy and smut perfect !!
and that's Arianna nash her silk and steele serie omg I have to reread that series cus never have I ever read such tantalizing sexual encounters in a epic fantasy background (that is even better then the sex!!)

so if you like this series please checkout Arianna Nash silk and steele serie
