Lorcán Kennedy is a take-no-prisoner vampire whose grit is tested when slain vampires start showing up in his sector. His investigation reveals a blessed weapon was used in the slayings, which leads him to a rogue hunter with a grudge against vampires. Christian Wolfe is a no-nonsense hunter who believes the only good vampire is a dead one, but his code of honor keeps his hatred in check. When his integrity is questioned, he will do anything to defend it, including work with his enemy. Vampire and hunter unite to solve the case, although for very different reasons. Lorcán wants to prove he is worthy of his Regent title once and for all. Christian wants to uncover who is framing him for the vampire deaths. It sounds easy enough, but neither are prepared for the desire that arcs between them when their eyes meet for the first time. When longing glances give way to passionate kisses and scorching touches, these powerful beings will learn that their bond goes beyond mere attraction. It is fate. Sparks and fangs fly in this second installment of the Genesis Circle, a paranormal romance series written by Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker. This book contains explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and older.
I'm the author of deliciously dark, sexy, and thrilling MM fiction in various genres. I corrupt readers with salacious tales of possessive men staking their claims on the men who make their blood rise in certain places. I know... I should be ashamed, but I'm shameless. I'm a public menace that can't be stopped, and my characters are rude, sassy, charming, arrogant, and hotter than sinners in hell. They tell me what they want and I follow orders. Exceptional follow up to the first book in this paranormal collaboration from the pens of Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker.
Christopher was the hard headed best friend of D'Angelo in book one and a fascinating character with his extreme hatred of vampires - understandable given what happened to his family.
In this, Lorcan, the vampire Regent who helped D defeat a demon in the first book, crosses paths with Christopher and let's just say the effects are as hot as the fires at Lorcan's command.
I'm not going into the plot, it's excellent and well paced with the Genesis gang all playing a part and some new faces being added to the mix.
I'm seriously Jonesing now for book three!
#ARC kindly received from the authors in return for an honest and unbiased review.
There is something to be said about power couples. This is something that I like - when two strong-willed men come together. This is also a mortal enemies to lovers trope so it made it all the more delicious. All those conflicting emotions and misunderstandings made for an angsty read.
I love vampires and how snotty and high-handed they can be. But here they take it to a whole new level. It's scary what can happen when one's overblown ego can start the end of the world. Murder and mayhem continue until Christian and Lorcan put a stop to it in the battle to the death. The writing was detailed and wonderfully done. The book was very fast-paced and a real page turner. But despite it all our MCs have found time to fall in love, help their friends to find happiness and enlarge their eccentric family.
I genuinely liked Christian and Lorcan's story. They opened up to each other and and I could see that both of them were honorable and loyal, brave but so lonely until they finally found each other. Their interactions were filled with humor, love and affection. I loved them together. The ending was epic and WELL DONE! The whole book was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it!
Circle of Trust was a good read although a bit OTT at times. It just felt unbelievable and that took away from the enjoyment of the book. I liked the characters and the plot. I'm so excited for the next book.
An arc was provided in exchange for an honest review.
This was so amazing, I absolutely LOVED it!!! 😍Between the story itself and the narrator Joel Leslie I would say this is one of my top paranormal reads/audios this year!! I was really looking forward to Christian's story because of his hate for vampires and knowing that in this book his bond mate was exactly that a vampire! 🤣 I have to say he did try to fight the attraction but that didn't go well especially with the sexy vampire Lorcan! Joel Leslie's voice and accent for Lorcan was so damn hot he gave me the shivers. Their chemistry was so steamy!! 🔥 I think when Christian seen Lorcan would sacrifice his own kind and go against his own maker to keep Christian safe that was when he knew he'd do anything to keep Lorcan as his mate to protect him and love him no matter what. I liked how well all the Christian's family and friends and Lorcan friends came through in the end to help save them from the enemy that wanted to take over. This was a serious hit so me and I would suggest to listen to this on audio. 🤗
This book in one sentence: Hunter and vampire combine forces to find a murdered, while trying to fight their unlikely attraction to each other. My rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Steaminess: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ My recommendation: If you like the first book of this series, this one is quite similar in style. The isn't really and build up to the romance between the characters, the go from hating each other to being completely obsessed with one another pretty instantaneously. The world building is fun, but doesn't deviate from your standard paranormal vampires/demons/hunters universe. This is a fun read, but there isn't exceptional that stands out about this story. Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, instalust, instalove, fated mates Content warnings: violence, torture, abuse, sexual assault
Holy crap I never thought a i would love a book the way i love this one.
We have Lorcan who is a vampire and he is finding his people are being killed using a blessed tool. Now he has to prove that he deserves his regent title and find the one killing them.
Christian is a hunter but someone is framing him for the murders and he will have to work with Lorcan to find the person .
What was awesome was the chemistry these two have and fight but then slowly give in and that made the book, I can not wait for the next book in this series!!!!
Great book , I don't know why I waited so long to read it. I usually stop what I'm doing to read a Bella collab but this time I read some other books and waited. Why oh, why did I wait. Now I'm ready for the next book but that will probably be out next year. But I guess I'll have to wait. This book is worth your time.
I love vampire romance and this was another great story in the series. I loved the enemies to lovers take with Lorcán, the vampire, and Christian, the vampire hunter who, of course, hates vampires being forced to work together to save people.
Lorcán and Christian had great chemistry together, I just loved it. Yes, things moved quickly for them and at times seemed a bit OTT, but I also loved how intense their emotions were for the other, and how much Lorcán especially was kinda all-in once he and Christian had grown closer.
I also enjoyed the group of characters around them. While D'Angelo and Angel, the couple from the first book, are mostly absent on their honeymoon, there is a great cast of characters in this book, and we meet new people who will hopefully get their own book (I'm hoping these two are still writing together and plan on a third book!)
Im sorry I understand that this is erotica and all that BUT you cant tell me the characters “feel that this is more than just sex” after doing it ONCE and only having spoken like 3 sentences to each other…. Where is the chemistry? Theres just.. body parts entering other body parts. No flavour no spice nothing…
4 stars. Audiobook. Duo of books, fated mates, magic, shifters, paranormal hunters, vampires, must be read in order. Nice cast of characters and a bulk of the story is the adventure/mystery with a side helping of fated mates romance. The unhappiness of a forced relationship was a bit too prominent because when they finally got together, the relationships never really felt like an all consuming romance, it felt a bit forced and inconvenient. Forced and inconvenient is a hallmark of the fated mate trope that I’ve read before and loved, so I can’t quite figure out what was missing here.
Audio is by Joel Leslie, whom I have a hot/cold relationship with, I’ve only thoroughly enjoyed ONE book by him. This audio is OK only because there is a heavily accented character in the second book that covers the old-man warbling voice that is the usual performance by this narrator.
Second book epilogue clearly set up a new couple for another book, but I don’t see anything published since this duo in 2018. Perhaps the series was abandoned? No cliffhangers, so you can read the duo and feel complete.
HEA, series, m/m, fated mates, vampire, paranormal hunters, magic, warlock, witch, wolf shifter, urban fantasy vibes.
I am so glad I didn't have to wait for this book because Christian was a character I was intrigued by, and I jumped right into book 2 and I don't regret it at all.
I wanted to wrap Christian up and make sure no one would or could hurt him. He has gone through a lot, and I just wanted him to be happy.
I didn't expect Lorcan to be the one to make him happy, but I was so wrong I loved the way he falls and how he is so understanding but then how he protects. It's exactly who Chrisitan needed.
They join forces to solve the case and in doing so they learn more about one another and how they are not all that different. I loved the way both of their friends came around as well.
Oh, the next book I think is going to be even better I can't freaking wait.
I really liked the narration in this one the accent for Lorcan was perfect!
I absolutely loved pretty much everything about this book. I loved Lorcan and Christian and the development of their relationship. I loved watching both characters find balance and a firm foundation in each other. It was also pretty cool seeing the Genesis Circle work together to prove their mettle.
Then, even better, we got an amazing sneak peak into the next book, with Sahil, in the epilogue. Now I only need to develop the patience required to wait for Sahil and Vega's story...
It takes a lot...and I do mean a lot to draw me in to paranormal anymore. It's like...for me, the genre just isn't what it used to me. Maybe I just haven't found the right books to read...until now.
This book....Absolutely everything about this book I loved. From the two MC's (Vampire and Hunter) to the side character's to the story. EVERYTHING was spot on for me.
Lorcan is not an OLD vampire, he's relatively young. He's cocky. He's hot. And he's investigating the killing of young vampires in his area.
Christian is the hunter. He has a special power in that he can read minds too.
He and Lorcan should be polar opposites...but when they meet....BOOM. They are drawn to each other, and while Christian tries to resist in in the beginning, it's not long before the two realize that what they are is mated.
It's not all fun, sexy times though. Something and someone sinister is out to get Christian. The two men, and a bunch of likable/quirky side character's work together to stop the evil.
I love the side character's and I see several books down the road from them, and I led not be happier that I have found a series ala Sookie Stackhouse, to feed my need for supernatural love stories :)
While the plot might be okay, writing style and sentence structure are horrendous. It’s nearly impossible to stay with the story, because you are constantly rolling your eyes at cheesy language.
First sentence takes the cake 🤮
“The blood I relished drinking flowed down my throat in a luscious, orgasmic stream”
Followed by these gems:
“the male specimen standing before”
“The hunt was fun and when I bit into his flesh… Ahhhhh, ambrosia.”
“Hmmm, perhaps I should put my cock up. I had left it exposed initially to seduce him, and maybe shock him, but now I was the one feeling a little hot under the collar. I reached down, tucking my cock back inside my pants. The last thing I wanted him to see was my erection and for him to know he was the cause of it”
“I mean, I thought D’Angelo was prime man meat, and I might have given him a go if I was really horny, but Christian took the cake and smeared the icing all over his body, and he was taunting me to lick it off.”
“I had to clear my head before my other head decided to take over.”
“Yeah, my ass was starving for his prime, grade-A beef”
It goes on and on...
Seriously, WTF?!

While the second book of the “Genesis Circle” series is better than the first one, it still has many flaws that made me wildly skim through the story. I did not enjoy the writing style nor did I enjoy how excessively long the story was. It did pick up after 40%, there was some action but still... a lot was going on. There were many inconsistencies, many parts of the story were repetitive. I think there would be some people who would enjoy this story, that, frankly, has its nice moments but this is not something I enjoy, even though I love vampires. Also, the human MC got turned into a vampire in the end and that’s a “meh” for me.
Circle of trust was such a amazing story I loved it so much
Lorcán and Christian's journey was such a wonderful and amazing one
There were so much intensity connection heart stopping moments and parts that had me on the edge of my seat
I was so hooked from beginning to end i didn't want to put the book down
I felt like I was there with Lorcán and Christian in their amazing action packed world i was so excited to see what was going to happen from one page to the next
This book was much better than the first book. It felt like the tone changed very quickly; I didn't care for how the two MCs were fighting/confused about their feelings and accepting each others as mates and being in love within the same chapter. It felt like the author wanted to focus on the upcoming action and not character development. I still enjoyed it.
Again wanted to be good but it wasn’t… again story had everything to be great but.. I got lost in all the “thinking with your dick comments”… I love va,pires and hoped this one was better because of that… 3 stars because of Lorcàn only!
When I read the first book in this series, I was disappointed with the main characters but enjoyed the paranormal aspect and the interesting world the authors had built. Now with Circle of Trust, I find things greatly improved from a character standpoint—my interest was already piqued for Lorcán and Christian in book one, and rightly so.
As a hunter, Christian already is wary of vampires…but he also has personal reasons that elevate that wariness to outright hatred. This of course makes the feelings he has when he’s around Lorcán, and what they might mean more than a little confusing for him. Lorcán has a hard time understanding what’s going on as well, but he won’t let that stop him from acting on what he feels. Together, these two definitely possess a whole lot of chemistry—as you’d expect from fated mates. What I found interesting was the reason behind how they could be fated mates at all since in this world it’s unheard of for a hunter and vampire. I just chalked it up to the paranormal aspect, but when the true reason is revealed late in the story it made things come into sharper focus for me.
There were many returning characters from the first book; D’Angelo and Angel don’t make a physical appearance until near the end of the story, but Jinx, Vixen and Megan play a large part and it was great to have them back again. There are also quite a few new characters introduced—primarily vampires since the focus of this story is on the seemingly random deaths of several of them (of particular note are Roland—a counterpart of Lorcán’s, and Alex— Lorcán’s brother…neither turn up dead, but both play important roles in the book), but also a flashy warlock named Silas.
I did find when it came to the fated mates aspect when Lorcán and Christian were together at the beginning that they tended to act a bit…not immature, but their thinking became carnal and lust-ridden. This evened out pretty quickly, and once it did you could easily feel the bond between the two in the writing.
As with the first book in the series, there’s plenty of mystery and action to be found. I did figure out pretty quickly who was behind the vampire deaths, but still greatly enjoyed the journey to bringing that person to justice. Also to be found was some setup for the next book in the series, and I’m intrigued to see where the authors will take things.
I liked Circle of Trust quite a bit more than the first book, and this one is getting 4.5 stars from me. That other half star was lost to the areas of the story where things still felt rough, like the authors still have a little ways to go to truly merge their writing styles. While this is the second book in the series, you could probably read it on its own and have no problem understanding the world and characters…but I’d still advise reading Circle of Darkness first to get a feel for the mythology of this world, and get the introduction to Lorcán and Christian’s characters. This book is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content (hot, sensual, steamy content!).
Another steamy action packed addition to the Genesis circle series. I enjoyed the first book and waited patiently for Christian and Lorcans story. It didnt disappoint.
I wondered how the story would play out with Christian's deep seated hatred of vampires, with good reason. He did struggle with his feelings at first, but Lorcan wouldn't let him for long. Their attraction was too strong and if you read the first book I'm sure you can figure out why.
Working together to find out who is killing young vamps causes Christian and Lorcan to get to know one another better and not just in the biblical sense. Christian begins to realize that Lorcan is actually a good man and when the two finally come together they set the sheets on fire, almost literally as that is Lorcans gift.
It was actually sweet watching them fall in love. Lorcan believed it was never in the cards for him due to his past, while Christian was desperately holding out hope to find his fated mate. Once Christian was in, he was all in, and he was just as loving as D'Angelo was with Angel.
The last chapter, as in book 1, gives us a sneak at the next couple to find themselves ensnared together. Sahil is a bit of a mystery, but his talent for speaking to the dead and his ghostly companion boasts an interesting story to come to say the least.
The combined talent of Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker totally rocked this second book in the Genisis Circle series. It's truly amazing when authors can pen together and flow it into something that turns out to be a page-turner. Great cover and length not short and not too long with a good mix of detail, and character profile.
The supernatural world isn't for the faint of heart, but even "monsters" and "monster killers" need to tow the line when it comes to rules. Treaties are made between good and evil to keep the balance. Some you will find ignore the rules.
Christian has some serious darkness lingering deep and makes no joke on how he feels about monsters especially Vampires. He buries himself in work to bury his feelings he really don't want to look to close at. Everyone around him is mated and loved.
Loracan is regent of one of the biggest sections in his Sire's realm, he got to his position for a reason. So when dead Vampires starts to pile up, he's all about finding the person responsible.
So dead vampires, blessed weapons and pointed fingers prevail, in order to find a killer two totally opposites must work together and what? they're running out of time.
Danger pops off, hot sex pops up, denial, passion, acceptance stir that in a big old pot! Enjoy! I did!
Another amazing add to the series. I loved everything about this book and the wait was worth it. Here we get a Hunter Christian and a Vampire Lorcán met and sparks fly. Christian is a not only a hunter with a power that's taken a lot out of him but a horrible past that has left him broken, the last thing he would want is to be attracted to a vampire. Lorcán is a young vampire for a Regent and doesn't see himself ever being in love. These two individual stories are tough but they have made them who they are; strong, powerful and underneath hoping for more. This book had everything; Action, hilarious moments, crazy magic, and two sexy men who explode with raw passion. New characters like Alex, Silas, Roland add to this world and come together to stop the unthinkable. Story line had me guessing til the end and on the edge of my seat! What I enjoy about this series is the flow with a detailed paranormal world, added supernatural creatures but you don't feel overwhelmed. You still have the main characters shine through and want to know more about all the added fun characters who help them. Not everything or everyone is clear black and white/good and evil. Showing everyone has dark edges is a exciting read. This was amazing and I want to already re-read it. Can't wait for the next.
Even better than the first book, which I thought impossible!!
This book was awesome and super addicting, impossible to put down! The series features MM love stories so if you don’t like that than it isn’t for you. But if you do, you have to give this series a shot.
There’s super human hunters that battle evil, supernatural creatures including vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks, demons and more!! In this story, Christian is feeling very lonely after his best friend D’Angelo found his HEA in book one.
Christian also despises vampires, since they were responsible for the deaths of his entire family, leaving him an orphan in his early teens.
When he meets the city’s vampire regent, Lorcan, in person for the first time, he is confused over the overwhelming attraction and lust he feels for him.
Lorcan, as regent of the city, is in charge of all of its vampires and any justice that needs delivered. Vampires are turning up dead in his streets, their deaths all caused by a blessed blade like only other hunters carry. Christian, with his public hatred for vampires and a close description by witnesses, is his prime suspect.
I don’t want to give any details away but this read is great and it keeps you on your toes. Can’t wait to read the next book!!
Circle of Trust - Nicholas Bella & Aimee Nicole Walker🌈
Christian Wolfe is a hunter. Disgraced and thrown out of the Institute, along with his best friend D'Angelo, for being gay. Christian and D'Angelo are still hunters to the core and use their gifts and abilities to keep balance in the paranormal communities, as well as safeguarding humans.
Christian suffered a very traumatic and devastating loss at the hands of vampires when he was younger and away attending the Institute. The brutal slaying of his family has turned Christian's blood cold against any and all vampires and this is no secret.
Now vamps are being killed which goes against treaty laws and all fingers point to Christian. Will Christian find an ally among those who brought him such pain when they murdered his family, or will his life end much the same as his family's?
***phew... This book was so good! Great even! The collaboration between, NB & ANW is definitely something to write home (Amazon, GR, etc.) about. This one has it all, murder, conspiracy, witches, vampires, blessed-humans, fated mates, hot hot hot 🔥sex, and even a bit in an Irish Castle!😋 5 fang-tastic 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Welp. This was clearly a mistake. I do not understand the exceptionally high rating for this book??? I expected it to be good, as so many seem to have loved it, but it just wasn't. The writing was very basic and ''tell, not show'' all the way through. it is legit below acceptable fanfic level. the instalove/instalust is absolutely instantaneous (duh) and baseless and the MCs have had literally three short conversations and are sure they are in love because they fit so well. What? Wtf, no. This book is just bad storytelling, poor characters, no character development. If you at all care about the story and the characters and not just two people getting it on - this book is not for you. Also, there's some icky sexual assault discussion, which imo was handled very poorly as it;s seemingly there only for 'that guy a baddy' reason. I really like the concept of the universe/story, but not so much the execution, which is sad. Additionally, but this is, I guess, the narrator's fault, everyone with an accent (which are supposed to be wildly different) had the exact same accent.
Sparks and fangs fly and passion grows. Talk about opposites attract. This is so true for Lorcán Kennedy and Christian Wolfe. A vampire and hunter together? Follow them on their journey. Lorcán needs to find out who is responsible for the deaths of vampires and who is leaving them in his sector. Christian wants to uncover who is framing him for these deaths. He would like to uncover other things too. Find out what else goes up in flames. Passion, longing and hot kisses are just the beginning. This book is scorching in so many ways. Leave it to Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker to make it happen in book 2 of the Genesis Circle: Circle of Trust. This book is amazing and intense. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. You're hooked from the very start. These amazing authors did it again. I can't wait for the next book, Circle of Madness. Love the title. I give this book 5+ stars.
When vampires start turning up dead the Vampire Regent Lorcan Kennedy suspects one of the hunters from the Chasseur Institute as they're being killed by a blessed weapon. The institute swears they're not involved so on to rogue hunters. He thinks it's D'Angelo's partner Christian Wolfe. When they finally meet the sparks fly, but Christian hates vampires so he's trying to ignore what he feels for the Regent, but he decides to work with Lorcan to find out who and why vampires are being killed. The actoin flows as fast and hard as the cum in this panty melting sexual thriller from the minds of Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nichole Walker. The characters are great and the sex is hot as hell. Definitely not for the under 18 crowd. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars and can't wait for the next in this awesome series.
