During the tribulation, 18-year-old Willow Archer and her band of believers are struggling to survive in the Montana wilderness. They finally have shelter and a thriving garden, but when meteorites spark wildfires, a massive forest fire threatens to destroy their remote cabin.
Meanwhile, Uncle Tony arrives with more bad news. It appears their former friend, Jacob, has teamed up with their nemesis, Capt. Marcus Laramie. Will Jacob lead Marcus straight to the believers?
Not only does Willow have to decide what to do about Jacob and Marcus, she’s faced with another devastating decision: abandon the group’s home and garden, facing starvation in the coming winter; or stay to save their food supply in the path of a raging inferno?
Don’t miss this suspense-filled third novel in the Band of Believers apocalyptic series. Buy it now, and get ready to stay up late!
Willow's story continues. Not everyone makes it. This story is riveting. I've read all four books in two days. You won't be able to put it down. It is an inspiring series full of hope and glory.
I enjoyed tremendously. Now on to book four! This has been a great series. Although it's not Biblical that people can be forced to take the Mark of the Beast. People can be threatened, bribed, coerced, etc., but ultimately, you have to decide to choose Christ above all else- even unto death. But the moment you breathe your last breath, you'll be with our precious Savior and Messiah! IF you are not saved during the "Rapture of believers," you will have to die for Christ or worship the beast and receive his mark- whatever that is. So, be of good courage, as Yahweh commands, and persevere until the end! Enjoy the book. ( Sue Weaver)
This series is very easy to read. The characters are relatable. This book was very intense. I felt that I did not enjoy it as much as the other ones (The story-line didn't seem as strong, lots of POV and there was a lot going on). However, I'm really excited to continue the series! It had some great applications and lessons to present-day believers. I did highlight a lot in this one.
It’s all we need to know for now. God guides us day by day, hour by hour. We’re not supposed to worry about tomorrow. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof, right?
After surviving the band of marauders, things are looking up for the band of believers until.... A wildfire is raging through the forest. The game is gone and if the winds don't change the fire could destroy everything they've managed to put together. It's a mad dash to safety with fervent prayers sent up to survive the fiery furnace. Will all be lost or will their prayers be answered? And what other blessings might the Lord provide?
willow , raven , Josh ,Matt all must continue to navigate the new normal. Every decision is vital to survival and they must learn survival skills if they plan on making it through the next few weeks let alone longer . Through everything the most important skill they develop is a deep desire and reliance on prayer , and if they expect to make it though what's ahead , they'll need all.then prayer they can muster.
We are getting closer to the time of “The End” and the “chip” will soon be ready for all of those who do not know Jesus and also, for some who don’t know Him well enough to trust His Word and avoid it. I’m not in Montana. I don’t have creeks and forests where I live so I’ve got to get a plan ready because the day is coming when we all will have to “bug out”... Jer 29:11 God has a plan!
I love how they pray for everything and how God takes care of their every need. I love the Praise and worship and the worship songs they sing, giving praise to God even in dire circumstances. I wonder if the author has direct experiences with angles like Willow does.
Truly enjoyable read. I was sadden by the lost of Candy and then Danny's mom. Jacob I felt should have given the child over, but for the love of a child, he didn't. The joy was to see the mother of Willow and Josh make it back to them. Our father in heaven is truly Love, Amen
This KU library selection is the continuation of the Band of Believers series, which is set in a Montana forest near the small town of Ponderosa. Willow continues to lead the group with a guidance from an angel and dreams, but they are being continually challenged and tested. The End is near and book four is up next.
I love these books and the author!! she makes it real and sometimes I get carried away and feel like I'm there with them! I feel their pain and hurt and sometimes I feel anxious with them! If your a Christian and looking for a good clean read, this is it! Millie Cooper has other good series! Check them out! God Bless!!!
Overall: Good read with a fast-paced storyline. It was hard to put down! Likes: Thought-provoking, End Times fiction, got me out of a reading slump Dislikes: Not a ton of character depth since there are so many characters, and some of the conversations can feel a little cheesy. Recommend? I would. Warning that it may cause distress for those who find End Times to be an anxiety-inducing topic.
I think the author did a good job of writing a faith based novel, but if you’re looking for a bible based end time themed novel I don’t think this is it. This is more of a survival novel with end time themes, but not as clear cut as other “revelations themed” books of this genre.
Book 3 of Band of Believers was good but I'm disappointed of shocking events in the book but I appreciate how Willow and the group always prayed before making decisions.
This book kept my interest from beginning to the end. Great ending to a wonderful book. Learned some stuff I thought might be useful in the last days, like dandelions are eatable!
Earthquakes, wildfires. Who and what will survive? Who’s with this band of believers and who isn’t? This one has some poignant scenes too! On to the next! I’m really enjoying everything by this author!
