With Every Goodbye has every ingredient for an emotional and sweet romance. The passion, the strong yet soft-hearted characters and a good story line. Warning : the plot has quite few twist and turns you would not expect! You may have difficulty coming at terms with the shock. The writing is crisp and I have really enjoyed reading the book. If you love sweet romance about second chances you should definitely try With Every Goodbye.

Grace finds her husband cheating on her. She moves back to her childhood home and meets Max Holt an artist. They have a summer romance and fall deeply in love. They split up after the summer but believe they will get back together. The story is very emotional with lots of twists and turns, but the main message for me was that you can find love again, even if you experience loss.

I struggled with rating this book. I've never wished so much that I could add a half to my rating. Grace and Max's love story was beautiful. It was like a fairytale love. I hated that he left at the end of the summer and I hated it even more that Grace never told him she was pregnant. The worst though, was when he came back and was dying. Grace proved how much she loved him when she married him and took care of him until his last breath. By then though, she had begun to realize she also had feelings for his brother Matteo. He had been such a help to her with caring for Max and was even great with his nephew. Then came the sweet story of Matteo and Grace, and their children. Two boys whose father was gone, and two girls who came along after. The story was great, but I couldn't give it four stars because at times the writing wasn't great. There were a few times when I thought the writing could have been better and it did take away from the story a little. Overall, I would recommend the book because by the end I was fighting tears and my heart felt full.

With Every Goodbye by Renea Porter is a wonderful story about Grace, whose politician husband is having an affair. Grace immediately leaves him and files for divorce. She goes back to her beach house and finds that it has been rented out by an artist whose works are being shown at her art gallery. There is so much more to this story and I do not want to spoil it for anyone. I will say that although I enjoyed the story, I felt that some of the language and sex scenes detracted from the mood of the story. I read for the story, not the steamy sex scenes that can be referenced and omitted. I get the idea! Same goes with the "f" bomb. I probably would have given this book 5 stars otherwise. This book was given to me through Quirky Blind Date with an Author. I always review every book that I read.
