Not aimed at people who are still learning basics, this book contains a ton of solid infos on safety, uplines, patterns and simple flows. It's very easy to follow, full of great photos and explanations. The writing is clear and straight to the point. It's also the most inclusive Shibari resource I've ever seen, finally we get across the idea that every body is able to enjoy ropes.
Truly well done, I had high expectations from a talented rope lover like Gestalta and this still surprised me positively. A must have if you want to suspend partners! I recommend reading it even if you are still only playing on the floor, it's still full of useful infos and techniques.

I bought the book last year but I re-read it now because at the time I was too much of a beginner to understand many of the techniques explained. I attended a workshop with Gestalta in Berlin and I saw her recently doing a live performance, and I can't help but notice once again how good she is as rope artist.

This is one of my favourite books on shibari. When I wanted to learn how to self-suspend and suspend others, this book helped me so much: it provides one with a detailed overview of the single-columns, harnesses, lock-offs, etc. that you can use to safely and easily suspend someone.

Very detailed and amazing stuff by step photos. This book is great for someone of an intermediate level and above because even though it does a great job of explaining some basics it is best to get a more in-depth look at all basics before jumping into these techniques.
