But their adventures aren't confined to just one universe. After narrowly escaping his last battle with He-Man, Skeletor has fled to the most unexpected realm to EARTH! Once there, he sets a plan in motion to siphon off Earth's core magic. Forging an unlikely hunting party, He-Man and company go in search of Skeletor and find themselves at odds with the heroes of the DC Universe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe must find a way to stop Skeletor and his mysterious new master!
It's called Eternia--the homeworld of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Here, this legendary hero harnesses the Power of Grayskull to protect his planet against the evil forces of Skeletor, the skull-faced embodiment of evil.

Then dimensions away, another evil has set its sights on Eternia's champion. The menace of Mumm-Ra is spreading, even as his hated rival, Lion-O, is crowned king of the Thundercats. Uzivao sam vise nego sto sam ocekivao.

Cheers.

Didn't expect to enjoy it so much... great story and many twists and turns. Highly recommend for fans and non-he-man fans. There are some extras (crossover with Thundercats and some classic stories) that I didn't care much for especially after reading such a huge saga but still happy it was added anyway.

Second time reading this book. Much more fluently than the first time. I choosed to stop before the Thundercats crossover and the 80´s issues. Tey´re just extras imo if you have nostalgia for any of that. But the main story issues are phenomenal. Even if yoúve never even heard of He-man before this. This tells ou pretty much everything you need to know. At least in the form to what you need to know to enjoy. damn great story.

This omnibus is an incredible collection and must-have for any fan of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe! I won't bother listing the collections here, but they're all listed in chronological order from their release.

This was very unlike the He-Man cartoons and comics we grew up with in the 80's. This is a new, fresh take on characters we all know. The artwork is amazing and the story telling is engaging and well planned out. During many occasions the stakes felt high and the story felt very natural and spent just the right amount of time on characters and their stories. For there to be so many issues collected in one place, it was great seeing various bread crumbs and plot points that were placed well in advance before they were revealed and fleshed out. Capitalizing on these story arcs in a single monster collection makes this omnibus worth the price.

Pros: the stories are crafted and scripted very thoughtfully and cohesively, matched with incredible artwork.
Cons: honestly, the two sets of older comics at the end were my least favorite part - mostly driven from spending so much time in the refreshed universe that reading old and dated MOTU comics felt stiff and rushed.
Bottom line: this is a must-have for any MOTU fan and will be something you will revisit and enjoy time and time again.

This is enormous. The main story is great, and it is accompanied by the origin stories of all important characters. If you loved 1982. series you'll enjoy this. If you watched "Secret of the Sword" you'll recognize some of the plot points.

But, this enormous book is something that is much more mature than the cartoon series of the eighties. It's brilliant at times, and sometimes it just made me curious. So many different artists, so many different writers, but the message is still powerful after all these years.
With the Grayskull, and all the elaborate mythos behind it.
Here we are, to paraphrase Freddie Mercury, born to be kings... We're the "Masters of the universe."
I heard him while reading this. Wouldn't it be magnificent if Freddie with his voice said
"By the power of Grayskull! I have the Power!"
He-man is good enough. And if you liked him, this omnibus is a must.

I had not read anything on He-Man and The Master of the Universe till now. In spite of that, He-Man was a big part of my childhood. Once you start reading it, you realize that 4 stories form one big arc and the 5th is a sort of canon to that. There are some bonus stories included that are not tied to the main story, those being the He-Man/Thundercats story as well as some reprints of old Masters of the Universe comics. The artwork is fantastic all throughout and is clearly the biggest highlight for me. I loved the fresh take on most of the characters including Teela, Man-at-Arms, Beastman, Skeletor, and even He-Man. However, the new perspective on Adam was not so great in my opinion. If you are a fan of Masters of the Universe, a fan of sci-fi/fantasy stories, then I do recommend this very hefty tome.

Enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, now in fairness I grew up on MOTU and remember having all the figures as a kid so I would have a natural fondness of the characters but even still was happily surprised.
On a side note this is one BIG book, even going on previous omnibuses that I've had in the past this is something else.
The only reason id take away a star is for two reasons, one is the characterisation of Teela and some of her back and forths with He-Man/Adam is so cringe worthy I felt myself even making faces while reading it, although as the book goes on she does seem to become more likeable. And the other reason is the Thundercats crossover at the end which just seems to ignore everything previous and reads like a fans nod to 80s nostalgia, not my cup of tea at all.
Other than that all in all an enjoyable book

A true masterpiece.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has always been about using the powers you are given to help those who are in need.

First part. Skeletor has won and erased the memories from our heroes. But you can’t keep heroism die and with lingering feelings they adventure to find a way to defeat him.

However the meaty part of the story begins with the introduction of our main villains Hordak and his lieutenant Adora. In an epic retelling of the original introduction of She-Ra.

There’s also a DC crossover in between all that. Which is not that good.

The stories told, how they interpret the characters as if they always were comic book characters and the growth that prince Adam has, it’s amazing and awe inspiring.

A great run of He-Man stories. It takes some serious and dark turns along the way. It is definitely a must read for fans like myself who grew up on the original He-Man & She-ra series.

A worthy continuation of the franchise with great nods to history mixed well with new and sometimes shocking ideas. A perfect read for fans of the franchise old and new.

I had not read anything on He-Man and The Master of the Universe till now. In spite of that, He-Man was a big part of my childhood. I was addicted to the He-Man cartoon and would always be ready to do the ‘I Have The Power’ bit with all my passion whenever we had guests. I used to watch it everyday because I got dad to record all the episodes on our VCR and I still have those tapes (sadly, no VCR). So when I saw the He-Man Omnibus at my neighbourhood bookstore @koolskool_bookstore I was overjoyed.

The He-Man Omnibus is a 3 and a half kg, 1500 page, nostalgia bomb that blew me away. It contains 68 issue divided across 6 story arcs. Once you start reading it, you realise that 4 stories form one big arc and the 5th is a sort of canon to that. The last one contains issues from the original He-Man run. The Omnibus ends with a showcase of the brilliant artwork you see all through the book.
