Chris Charles just discovered a fact about his family after his high school graduation, which turned his whole world upside down. He is shaken to the core as he finds it difficult to trust his older brother Jonathan and even God. As he falls away from his long-held faith, life throws curveballs which draw him back to his Savior.
Though Chris tries to remember how much God loves him, can he ever forgive the brother who hurt him?
I had to skip through a lot of this book. It was a good topic just not realistic how how was written. This boy was 18 and they had him acting older than the grandparents and they made it wrong for people to hurt, and the made it seem like being in the church is wallet saved you. The child found out something bad and they acted like he was supposed to forgive the next day sometimes you have to process and give God time to work.
The story line was good. But the book was too long and too tedious. The conversations were repetitive throughout the book. Most of all one of the main characters was annoying and unlikable (Jonathan)
This story has plenty of potential. I don't know if it is a transition from paper to ebook or what.... but there are so many errors in this book that it made it hard to read... words are missing, words are repeated, and other grammatical errors are throughout this book. Because I am a nerd and book lover, I had to finish the book. I hope someone edits this book and removes all the errors :-(
Excellent Christian fiction read. I would recommend this one. Family stayed together and prayed together. No one knows about tomorrow. These people had faith. They were a good family. But things happen. Mr. Joseph keep writing those great stories.
There were typos that were a little distracting. Overall interesting book. The big turning point happened too soon somewhat leaving the rest of the story somewhat predictable.. a bit more suspense would make it more interesting
I enjoyed this book. I could visualize the characters and could relate to the story line. We all know of someone who could fit each character. I love it when I can do that, it makes me a part of the story. This was a good read and I look forward to reading more from Gomer.
This book was so very thought provoking. My heart broke with the characters in this story, and I rejoiced when they rejoiced. God loved us so much that He sacrificed His one and only Son for us. None of us will ever be perfect, we make mistakes, just as Jonathan, Joshua, Claire, Chris and others in this story did, but God still loves us more than we can ever imagine. We will go through trials, maybe not to the extent of those in this story did, but if we turn to God and allow Him to help us He will. We are never alone we when have Christ as our Savior.
Not bad at all. Interesting storyline. A bit stretched out in some places but I still wanted to see how the story will end although it wasn’t the ending I was expecting. Good nevertheless, it cause me some stress though lol.
I rated this book a four because I was so hurt with Chris ' reaction to his grandparents refusing to address them as grandparents are continue to call them mom and dad. To me showed disrespect and ungreatfullness.
This was an amazing read. I really truly enjoyed reading it. If you’re looking for a good read then this is the book for you. It has little to none grammatical errors and the characters and story are both well developed.
I enjoyed this book. I wish it ended differently, but understand how it changed the lives of Chris’s family. Chris lived life to the best of his ability..
It is one of the best books I ever read. Both brothers took turns narrative each chapters separately, which is a nice flow to follow the brothers in the book. It blended the story together so well. Read the book and you shall be move by the power of God. Amen! 🙏🙏🙏
This book started off good, but there was some conversations that seemed to be repetitive even after a conclusion was drawn on how this family was going to move forward.
I enjoyed this book a lot, it even made me cry a little toward the end. I think it was written the way the people in the book talk, and that was okay with me.
I’m happy that I read this novel. It was a well-written, good read about love and forgiveness. I was touched by this story about two brothers whose bond changed when a family secret was discovered.
The author wrote with a lot of heart. He did an excellent job showcasing diverse characters and their issues. Their personal struggles were grueling but I was encouraged by their paths to forgiveness and restoration. This story is a wonderful display of faith at work, and the importance of having a relationship with God.
I’m looking forward for more from this author. Good job, Gomer. Grab a copy!
