I will freely admit, I went into a fit of happy giggles when I opened this book and started going through all the projects in the book. Not only are the projects amazing, but instructions as well. Each project includes gorgeous, colorful step by step instructions throughout each of the projects. Even those that are not very crafty can easily make the perfect terrarium with the amazing directions in this book. Every time I go through Creative Terrariums I get lost in the projects and planning which of the projects I want to do first. It has honestly been a very long time since I have seen a project book that is this thorough and easy to follow at the same time. If you are someone who loves succulents and beautiful terrariums, I highly recommend picking up Creative Terrariums: 33 Modern Mini-Gardens for Your Home.

Nice little book on creating your own terrariums. The projects lean whimsical, but there are a couple minimal and post-modern-type gardens – and even a terrarium for black-thumbs with fake succulents – so, truly, something for everyone. The Test Subjects garden, using test tubes, has me most intrigued and also skeptical. Will those plants stay alive? The book is well organized, photographs are plentiful, and the step-by-steps are clear, making it seem like success is inevitable. I do wish that there were photos showing mature terrariums in all their, sometimes, messiness and indistinct layers. Can't wait to find test tubes to start!

Love this book. The details on how to create and take care fo your terrariums is easy to understand with a variation of ways to build your own little nature haven. I was able to create 4 different terrariums without having to buy many different supplies.

Fun designs with lots of tips for maintenance. I wouldn't recommend this to a first timer, I'd say it's for someone looking to get a bit more imaginative with their terrarium landscapes.
