I’m planning to pay as little as ZERO income taxes in my retirement. How about you?Get Me to ZERO™ describes 7 synergistic tax strategies to help you legally get your future assets and cash flow off the IRS’s radar screen and pay as little as ZERO income taxes during retirement. My book explains how implementing these 7 proven tax strategies can offer up to 20%-40% more spendable retirement income than traditional 401(k)s, TSPs, 403(b)s, and IRAs.Of course, ROTH contributions and conversions are fully discussed. Those are 2 of the 7 strategies. Also described is an amazing little-known, tax-free strategy using OPM (Other People’s Money) to fund a TAX-FREE retirement.I’ve been a practicing Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) for over 20 years, serving clients across the country. Most of them I’ve never met.My financial planning practice and this book are centered on these firm People should not pay a dime more in taxes than the law requires2) Nor should they take an ounce more risk than necessary to reach their financial goals.Judge Learned Hand, a federal district and appellate judge for more than 50 years, is said to have been the most influential judge in the U.S. who never sat on the Supreme Court.Judge Hand said, “Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one's taxes.”“Over and over again, the Courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging affairs to keep taxes as low as possible. Everyone does it, rich and poor alike, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands."That, in a nutshell, is the legal basis for the Get Me to ZERO™ strategies. Proactively and systematically arranging our financial affairs so that our future income taxes will be as low as possible. And this book is not about tax loopholes! Not one strategy is a loophole. Author Tom Wheelwright (he’s Rich Dad Poor Dad’s personal CPA) says, “After all, the tax law is really a map - a treasure map. As you follow this map, your taxes go down."The more sources of non-taxable retirement cash flow—the better. Use the full tax code to make as much of your retirement cash flow legally “invisible” to the IRS. There are no lines for these tax-free incomes on your 1040 tax form. None.If we can’t eliminate future income taxes in retirement, we at least want to minimize them by becoming fully informed. Proactively using the tax code as it is written and intended is legal tax avoidance—NOT tax evasion.Does your current retirement planning include planning for future income taxes? The book explains some strategies to save for retirement while maximizing your dollar at retirement (arguing that 401k are not good investment as compared to ROTH because you don't actually know how much you will pay in taxes when you retire, due to possible increases i the future).

The book is repetitive. Annoyingly repetitive, he repeats himself so much that I had trouble following his ideas.

zero Tax

Mark,
This leaves a mark on what is best ,and how to prepare for return on life by addressing the power and erosive ability of taxes and how best to be prepared for longevity.
The IRS determines what you own and owe.
Zero tax educates you and prepares you for the unexpected effects of taxes, risks, and the best buckets to achieve these goals.
This book is a must for all concerned.

Great read

Author offers great concepts to consider. It is written by a sales guy so to is salesy in nature. Yet the concepts offered are beneficial and worth considering. He mentions the tactical management of funds yet offers no detail on the means, process or performance. His information on IULs is meaningful and beneficial. Quick read if one scans the fluff.

Better than 'The Power of Zero' and didn't feel as sales-y....until the end. But even then it was more honest about the fact that it was being sales-y.

However in both cases, since they either can't or won't tell you where you can find the specific products features they are referring to, it leaves you forced to just call them.

This book was excellent up to page 84

Then it became a sham. The factual information including excellent content on Roth Conversions.
Clearer than most.
But the Triple Zero & insurance financial engineering was very sketchy. Don't go there.
