Jack Hardin currently lives in Arlington, TX, with his stunning wife and five kids. He grew up in an Army family and spent half his childhood living in Germany, traveling all over Europe prior to the fall of the Iron Curtain. At nine years old he walked through Checkpoint Charlie and into East Berlin just one year before the Berlin Wall came down. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, is proficient with bo staff and nunchucks, and has taught women's self-defense.
Those alone do not make him awesome, but it all sounds really cool.
You’ll find Jack’s books to be in the same vein as Wayne Stinnett, Dawn Lee McKenna, and Randy Wayne White. In other words...dig in...you’re about to be seriously entertained.
Jack is driven by grace, the bedrock of his Christian faith. Shoot him an email and let him know what you think of his books. Or to give him your opinion of the moon landing, or whether or not you think it's a sin to squeeze the toothpaste tube from the middle.

Books 1-4 in the Pine Island Coast Suspense Series form one larger story arc, with everything tied up in Book 4. Books 5+ will all be standalone installments.
A prequel to the Ellie O'Connor, Pine Island, series. It's been on my TBR list for several years. It really isn't anything more than a "money grab" for Hardin. Certainly nothing special.
This was a nice prequel, giving the reader a better glimpse into Ellie's life and persona. If you are reading the Elie O'Conner series, it's good to have this added background. You could read this one first, or at any point in the series without it being a spoiler. Written in classic Jack Hardin style, with boats, islands, beer and adventure. A great short read!
For a short prequel this novel is a very explicit and exciting beginning of a new era of espionage action. I failed to purchase this book first, but it really gives some varying degrees of level involving Ellie and her suspenseful thrilling adventures. Great jib, Mr. Hardin!
Short and sweet, but worthy of five stars. There is suspense personified in this dramatic beginning of Ellie O'Conner's new adventures around the world, and home. This short beginning gives new meaning to excitement, as you will be as surprised I the way the story actually develops! The characters certainly get big, and better, as the plot fully develops. Caught me by surprise, and ending will give something to think about for a while. Too, the author is definitely a master with his storylines from beginning to end. I am more than impressed with Mr. Hardin's approach to each and every impressive episode throughout these wonderful masterpieces. Most definitely recommend this short story, and series, to everyone who enjoys exciting investigative techniques and suspense. I am looking forward to the next thrilling adventures of Ellie what is left of her dedicated colleagues!
This story by Jack Hardin is very good. It is a fast moving investigative mystery taking place on Pine Island, in the Florida Keys. It's about immigrants coming to live in America, where now no one cares about them, or they are used and abused. It's a very active story with lots of characters to solve the crimes. Enjoy it!
An okay story but too much detail of characters and places for a novella. More focus on the story would have done more to make me want to continue the series.
A couple of grammatical errors were distracting. I had to reread the sentence for it to make sense.
Again a tense and great story. I wish it were longer! I will read any of these backstory satisfy my curiosity about Ellie!! Hardin's characters simply come alive page after page.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, getting to know the characters, picking up on the snippets that revealed clues. I'm now going for the Team 99 books just to round it out.
