Elijah

As head of King Broadcasting Corporation, the largest in the country, I have everything I could ever want… except for Alexander Tucker. I’ve known Alex since middle school choir, when I used to stare at him from afar, but he never picked up on my hints.

Now, he owns Tucker Broadcasting Corporation, my biggest rival. Technically, we’re enemies, but I still stare at him from afar, since I can see into his office windows with my binoculars. That’s all I’ll ever get to do, though, because it’s clear he’s still not interested in anything other than trying to beat me in our field.

That is, until someone shows up with a whole new kind of game for us to compete in, and I can’t resist the opportunity to go head to head with the object of my unrequited love.

Alex

It was like any other day, in which I’m being pitched a show to host on my network. And it seems just like any other show, until the guys pitching it say it’s being seriously considered by Elijah King, head of my rival broadcasting corporation.

We’ve competed against each other since way back in our school chorus days, and I’ve held any other kinds of feelings for him at bay. He was better than me at singing, and that bothered me, yet intrigued me. Now Elijah and I are to compete against each other at singing to see which one of our networks can host the show. That’s an offer I can’t refuse.

But am I going to be able to refuse my burning desires for my number one rival?

Sing for Me is a standalone male/male romance novella, a prequel in the Morning Madison series. It can be read on its own, but should definitely be read with a tall glass of water nearby due to all the hot man on man action contained within it. This enemies to lovers romance has no cheating and no cliffhangers. But it does have a very happy ever after, humor, tons of sass, and musical show tune singing that would give any proper Broadway show a run for its money.

Not much here. It’s very rare that I feel compelled to leave a quote, but this one pretty much sums up the quality of the writing in this story.

“Then I feel a second finger enter and begin to glide in and out. He’s so methodical and gentle with his actions, I’d swear I was at a doctor’s office getting a rectal exam.”

This is what your thinking about during sex? Just no!

Bad enough I won't even bother trying the fake boyfriend books that come later in the series (note: that's pretty bad, folks!)

I've read romances since I was twelve years old, possibly a bit younger. I think I've always seen them as pure fantasy. But there's got to be something there that feels true to me for it to work. Nothing felt true, real, about this one. Just some words strung together in approximate order to make a dull, immature story.

I definitely see a pattern developing. While this is actually the first in the series, it is the 3rd one I’ve read. And while I haven’t really been bowled over by any of them, if I had read this one first, I probably wouln’t have bothered with the others.
First, it is short; very short. The story itself ends at 87% and the rest are promos for the rest of the series. In the short time we’re given, I don’t feel like I really got to know Alex and Elijah. While Alex admits from the start that he has been in love with Elijah since middle school, Elijah is more of an enigma; not really sure where he stands other than seeing things as a grand competition. When a business prospect brings them together, Elijah suddenly had this epiphany and resolved 25 years of emotional conlict at the snap of a finger.
There were also a lot of inconsistencies. The subtitle of this work is A Morning Madison Enemies to Lovers romance while another edition of the same story is subtitled A Madison Morning Prequel. So is the show called Morning Madison or Madison Morning? In the first chapter, Will introduces the show he’d like produced as “Morning Madison.” Then, for the next several chapters, its called “Madison Morning” only to go back to “Morning Madison” in the last chapter. And the Enemies to Lovers part is not accurate. Alex and Elijah were never enemies.
Well, since I’ve come this far and read three in the series, I plan to continue. I only hope it gets better.

i read this prequel as part of an arc program. In this short read, Elijah and Alex are rival owners of broadcasting companies and have been rivals since boarding school where they competed against each other in the choir. Both Elijah and Alex have an attraction to each other, but would never act on it because of their rivalry. When a new show is pitched to both networks, it becomes a competition between Elijah and Alex to sing a song composed by their favorite composer and have the public decide who sang it better, with the winner getting the show on their network, but during the competition sparks fly. I liked this short story and thought it had a lot of heat between Elijah and Alex. It introduces the characters for the next book Play for Me and starts the series. Good one.

A great story! The storyline is well written and filled with suspense, emotion, love, and just enough twists and turns that kept me reading. Alex and Elijah have known each other since middle school. They both sang in the choir. Elijah has loved Alex from afar. ....
Alex owns Tucker Broadcasting Corp. Elijah owns King Broadcasting Corp. They have been rivals for years. Now they are competing against each other to host a talk show "Morning Madison" I voluntarily reviewed advanced copy of this book. ❤🍵💋

Truthfully Lesbian and Gay romances are like a fifth tier to me. Good but not really on the IT List. This story was truly romantic and fulfulling. It features two people that were together but not together. Amidst confusing emotions and feelings, it kept them apart. It took the beauty of song and lyrics to draw them closer than they could have imagined. This was indeed a truly aspiring story of finding love through such a beautiful mystical entity called Music.

Loving the tune

I'm not that way inclined but am open minded believing love can transcend all kinds of relationships. This a sweet romance between Elijah and Alex. They grew up together, same chorus, same feelings yet get each others signals so wrong. Competing for the same broadcasting rights brings them together, literally. Alex takes the risk and confesses his love. Wonderful.

Sing To Me 2.5⭐️

“Of course, my pair of binoculars always comes in handy when I need to get a really close up look.”

Elijah ‘observing’ Alex, his competition, through the window of his kingdom, was an interesting start to their story.

Alex, in love with his enemy since middle school, equally plays voyeur in return, lu$ting after Elijah.

A touch unrealistic, insta attraction and actions, in so few pages after a 25 year gap. Too short to gain much insight. 2.5 ⭐️

I’m celebrating. I found a new author and love this story. These two guys are both successful but funny how they each have a misconception of each other. I had to laugh at them spying on each other. The story flows smoothly. The sex is hot. The relationship is interesting. I can’t wait to see what happens to these two in the next book

Short and sweet

This was a sweet romance. I found it rather predictable it enjoyed it. It’s probably a good book to read after a book hangover. Alex and Elijah are rivals but Alex has been secretly in love with Elijah. They “compete” to win production rights to a new morning show which throws them together. A bit of insta love for Elijah and a happily ever after ending.

Sing for Me

First word that comes to mind is childish. The writing is. And the MC(s) though that's probably cause of the writing.
I mean no offense by this but feels like I'm reading something a 13yo wrote and though there's nothing wrong with that, is also not what I'm looking for...
Good luck!

I'll keep reading 📖

Sweet

Sweet short story of two men who have loved each other forever but thought the other despised him. This was wonderful as a short story. If it had been longer these two MCs would have infuriated me with there angst and lack of communication. I look forward to the rest of the series.

This prequel gave a glimpse into the lives of Alex and Elijah and their estranged relationship. Budding story that I’ll be interested to see unfold in future stories. Loved the comedic side and banter between them. ~Angie❤️

A Sweet Duet

I really like this sweet romance. Elijah and Alex don't realize how much their competitiveness is just a mask until Alex is brave enough to admit his feelings. Their simple love of music is the path to their greater love and a happily ever after.

Mistaken ideas

Alex has always loved Elijah ever since middle school but they never seemed to connect and now they run rival broadcasting companies. Can these two overcome mistakes made in the past. Read and enjoy following this brilliant story which I totally recommend.

Good book

This was a really good book and I like how the men like each other but did not know hope the other felt. I was good that they both felt the same way about each other.

I liked the book. Two grown men unsure of each other's feelings acting like children. Always trying to one up the other. But love conquers all. Great MM read.

A great short read and although it stretches credibility, it's just right for a great pick me up . Can't wait to read the next one

Good but abrupt

Sweet, loving story but ends a bit abruptly that you feel like more of a short story than a novel. So expect shortness but good read

This was ok. Nothing too deep or much to sink your teeth into. It is exactly what it says it is, a prequel. Nothing bad about it just not enough to get overly excited about.
