What if…* Security can be quantified? ................... What if * Security can be measured? ............... What if * Security Vendors can be measurably compared? ....................* We can stop most Phishing… Spam… data exfiltration…DoS/DDoS… Fake News…and more? ...................... * Security can now be mathematically justified? * We’ve just been looking at security in the wrong way? .........................This book will show you how to do this AND MORE... It's all about getting rid of '0's and '1's and looking in-between.... in the analogue realm that security professionals have ignored for 50+ years. .............................Analogue Network Security is a completely new, provable suite of techniques to design cyber, human and physical systems with more security than you ever thought possible. Security requires a single, interdisciplinary metric for the cyber, physical, and human domains. .......................Digital is not binary. Infinity is our enemy. Winn grew up in a little town, on the upper west side of Manhattan called Spanish Harlem. Then he spent ½ of his youth growing up with beatniks and such in Greenwich Village, another small town in NYC.

The first part of his career was as an audio engineer and producer.

As he now puts it, “I’ve been in security for about 35 years and I think – maybe – I’m just starting to understand it.”

If you want originality in thought, writing, presentations or any aspect of Security, call Winn. In addition to being called, “The Civilian Architect of Information Warfare,” he is one of the country’s most sought after experts on information security, infrastructure protection, and electronic privacy.

Winn Schwartau is an iconoclast. He will eagerly break things that don't work. Having worked on security for decades, he has found that binary-based network security, which is what we practice, fails. Consistently. In Analogue Network Security he argues that there is something better.

Winn started out as an acoustical engineer before binary/digital tools became commonplace. He draws on that experience to sketch out how an analogue approach might make possible an approach to security that can be effective. It won't be perfect--that is binary thinking--but it will be measurable, and measurably better.

To do this, he builds on the Time-Based Security approach that he explained two decades ago. He busts a few icon as he draws on Boolean algebra, Bayesian statistics, and Boyes' OODA loop to approach to security using time, feedback, and trust. The math is solid, as an allied mathematician shows, but one does not need higher math to understand it. Much of it, once you see it, is common sense.

Analogue Network Security reflects Winn's style: it is personal, honest, and irreverent. He has included myriad observations about security, audio, and other topics that draw on what he has learned over the years.

If you are dissatisfied with the status of network security--and you should be--you should give the arguments in Analogue Network Security serious thought. They could revolutionize the cyber world.
