Angie's journey to self-rediscovery is incredible. Feeling forced to choose between 2 men, safe and sane or risky and scary, she makes a choice for the way she wants to continue. I would love to read the story of her second chance, as she mentions at the books end.

What an amazing book. When Angie and Dominus and texting back and forth I feel like I am the one texting before my mind has raised the same questions while I was reading. This book will keep you on your toes. It is something that could happen in the real world when you are online looking for answers. Enjoy this wonderful story.

There are very few books that I find impossible to put down once I've started them, but this is one of those. This is an exploration as much as it is a story; a musing on finding oneself and having the courage to be the person one finds. Angie does this after a divorce, at 45. Her exploration leads her to the world of BDSM and, specifically, a master/slave dynamic. The reader follows her questions, uncertainty, hopes, terror (yes, more than fear!), and there's an edge of mystery about Nic, Dominus, even her ability to follow her dreams. It's almost impossible to put this book into words that aren't Ellie Masters' own - mine invariably fall short.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone exploring themselves, to anyone wondering if there might not be more to life - and to anyone looking for a truly awesome story. Don't hesitate to read it - but leave yourself time to finish it in one sitting.

There are some things in this world we are just not suppose to fully understand as an outsider looking in, and that is completely ok. The word magic of this writer is she can take you places that you would never want to be in reality. It’s like forbidden fruit to me. I get to be a voyeur into the world of BDSM. I am allowed to get all giddy with excitement and wonder, yet I am safe in the coziness of the world I have chosen. Isn’t that spectacular?
Choice was the greatest word in this book. This book was particularly fascinating to me, because I would have ask all the exact same questions as Angie, yet made different choices. Now I am going to try and explain all the reasons you should choose to read this powerful tale of self realization. This book is about the life of a woman. Yes it is a love story and has sexy men and titillating scenes, but it is really about a woman finding herself. I loved this heroine for many reasons. I loved that she took a situation in which she was so powerless and reclaimed her power. I loved that she found an initial interest and took steps to explore further. I loved that she faced her fears head-on . I especially loved that she jumped instead of turning around.
Anytime I read a book and cannot tell if it is a work of fiction or completely based on truth, I am impressed.I have often wondered about the distinction of D/s -v- M/s and feel like I have a little better understanding now. Plus this author always gives me the feels. I was angry about the crap hand Angie was dealt. I was excited when she had a spontaneous rendezvous. I was impressed when she branched out. I was surprised a few times in his story and emotional by the end.
Ok, I am seriously impressed with myself right now for getting all this down and NOT giving away any of the surprises! Yes there are a few. I highly recommend this read.

Ellie has done a wonderful job on Angie's story. She is leading us down Angie's path of rediscovering herself after 25 years of marriage and a sudden divorce. She begins to dabble in the world of sexual fantasy and darker desires . A chance encounter, a spark of desire and interest and she is on her journey of self discovery. She faced her fears, delved into her realm of unknow and took a chance making decisions on her own, which is something that she hasn't done inyears!

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! I loved it from the second I started reading and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. This is a great second chance at love and self discovery story. The characters kept me totally captivated, from the conversations, sizzling chemistry, and just the emotional ride. A total amazing book and read!

This book made me feel like I took more than a trip down the rabbit hole. Kink is not my thing but reading this book make want to give it a try. The best thing about this book was how informative it was about BDSM, the safe ways you can explore it and the connections you can build with like minded people. I stayed up all night reading this because it was enthralling.

Wow this book opened my eyes up to a whole new world. Loved it from the very second I started until I finished it, putting it down very reluctantly. The storyline had me enthralled from the onset, how a quiet and unassuming lady saw a whole new world open up before her, and what she went through both mentally and physically to find herself again. This book certainly was very hard to put down. Another awesome write by Ellie Masters. Read it for yourself !!

This is not what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. We start with Angie being any woman in similar circumstances. Then she becomes a true heroine as she makes choices that stretch or even cross her boundaries, ones not many of us would cross. I often wonder who I am now. How far would you go to find out?

I absolutely loved this book, not only is it different having an older woman as the lead character it is totally relatable as to the way her feelings are portrayed.

This was a great read about a woman who thought she knew who she was and then life pulled the carpet out. This is her story about her journey of self discovery and learning about things she knew nothing of and learning about her new cravings. The characters were easy to relate to in the sense her questioning felt to me to be a normal questioning process. And how can you go wrong with Dominus....

All the feels and then some....
A truly inspiring story of one trying to find themselves again.
Ellie Masters, once again the words that you have written have left me speechless. I am again wanting to be a part of the world you created and felt like I was right there with Angie and her journey to finding herself through BDMS. The emotions that I felt from the very beginning are just indescribable and you seriously had me wanting no yearning to be apart of the story.
Let me start off by saying I want to claim Dominus as mine but at the same time the man terrifies me and I am not sure I could handle him and his dominant self 😊.
Angie’s world that she knew is it turned upside once her and her husband divorced. Her resolve was broken, her faith in men was broken, her life was in shambles. Angie packed up and went on a journey never staying in one place too long to find herself again. A chance encounter with a mysterious man one night ignites a new world that intrigues and terrifies her at the same time. From that point on she steps out of her comfort zone and delves into the mysterious online world of BDSM and is faced with many ups and downs. Her mysterious man reappears in her life and ultimately a decision needs to be made whether she goes the safe route or ventures into the unknown. You will have to pick up your copy to find out what happens.
Ellie, I can explain how much I truly enjoyed reading Down The Rabbit Hole. It allowed me to escape into the world you created and even peaked my curiosity further. I used to eat D/s books for dinner, or at least it seemed that way with how I devoured them. Several years have passed since I've read a book like this and Ellie Masters did a phenomenal job reintroducing me to this genre. I was addicted to her words, from start to finish, reading a chapter here and there every chance I got. My mind just wouldn't stop thinking about the characters and what came next.
The journey of discovery Angel takes after being blindsided by her cheating husband was as real as it gets. A chance encounter with a.mystery man leaves her questioning what she wants, what she needs, what more is oit there for her. Her indepth reseach was quite the learning experience. The online discussions between Angel and Dominus, the Grand Master, left me speechless. Ellie gave him a very stong and insightful voice. His explanations and patience with Angel were so patient and seemed right on the mark. How could you not fall for this guy. I totally connected with these characters separately and as a possible couple, but I also had a soft spot for mystery man Luc. I had a soft spot for him, held out hope for him, and struggled when trying to choose the right man for Angel.
This book wouldn't be for everyone since it does deal with some pretty heavy BDSM situations, but I loved it. I craved more from the very beginning until the very end. It left me wanting more, which is my only complaint. I really wish there had been a few more chapters for me to process the ending (which I had suspected), and to just spend time absorbing them together.

Wow!! Just Wow!! First off, let me just congratulate Ellie Masters on her remarkable insight and for acknowledging that love, passion, and one's sexuality does not end in the thirties! Of course, deep down in each of us, no one wants to imagine their mother still having a sex drive or needs, but when you think of her as an individual, it becomes something so natural and expected without the age restraints. And as an older woman, I thank you!!!

What a book! A fantastic different take on the BDSM world.
This was not your typical BDSM novel. Instead of being a book full of scenes this was a book of self discovery.
At age 45 Angie found herself divorced. After being married for 25 years and a mom for almost as much time she had no idea who she was. She sold everything and packed up to go on a journey of self discovery.
She spent a year hiding in campgrounds. One night of passion with Florida guy and she saw that there was something other than vanilla sexy times and she wanted to learn more. It allows us to put ourselves in Angies shoes as well, could we and would we do the things she did and was asked to do.
This was my first read by Ellie Masters and it was a great place to start. I have added more to my TBR list and can't wait to get to them.

This was not your typical BDSM novel. Instead of being a book full of scenes this was a book of self discovery.

Angie is the main character in this smart, thought provoking and insightful story of a 45 year old, mother of 4 divorcée.

Flawlessly written, Angie’s character was fantastically relatable and likable. The author makes no apology in stating she took some liberties about the content of the story and I personally applaud it.
I was hooked from page 1. This emotional story had me devouring every page as I went “down the rabbit hole” with Angie as she embarked on her new life. I fell in love with her and all the characters as her story evolved and developed.
The read flowed seamlessly, as it personified Angie’s journey of self discovery and acceptance.
Told in first person, Angie’s journey and her thoughts about it were compelling as she tried to restart her new life following life altering changes.
The twists and turns she made in her life...
I loved her vulnerability and her honesty as she explored unchartered territory. Yet, her strength came from her surrender to new out of the box experiences.
Well...I’m now the proud owner of a major book hangover as I “needed” to find out how her story ended.

I am so conflicted about this book. It has 5 stars because it is a great book, the author goes through many aspects of BDSM. But those of you out there, remember this is FICTION!!! Life is not or never this easy, there are pot holes and work through out a relationship wether vanilla or not. My concern in all BDSM books is that I get the concern that all Dominates are understanding and read the submissive perfectly. There is never total honesty in any relationship when it comes to your own feelings, because we sometimes dont understand those feelings and become so very vulnerable when we express them. When exactly does the Dominate express them? What happens when the D makes mistakes, has a bad days and is in crappy mood. That is REAL LIFE. But I never see these thoughts revealed in BDSM books. That scares me for those out there in the world that go into ANY relationship with the idea that life is always great. The author explains that this is FICTION. But I just feel the need to remind some people out there again. No one is perfect!!!

This was far from your "normal" romance, more a journey of discovery. Now divorced after 25 years of marriage having never slept with anyone other than her husband, Angie goes on journey of discovery. She meets a man (who she calls Florida Man) and has a one night stand with him, but he does things that make her think she wants more than just a "normal" relationship. So she goes and explores the internet to find our more about BDSM and finds herself in an online forum where she "lurks" just reading the posts and the answers and finds herself warming up to the moderator of the forum. Angie's journey is full of doubt's and questions and when she meets Florida Man quite by chance for a second time, she feels conflicted between the BDSM lifestyle and "normal". Angie must choose, she can't have both. My only gripe is it was very obvious from very early on who Florida Man was, otherwise a brilliant read.

Sounds deep, doesn't it? In this case, that is actually appropriate. This is not just a BDSM story, or an erotic story, although both are definitely present. This is a story of a mature woman trying to rediscover life after her 25 year marriage comes to an end.
The story is incredibly well written. I was impressed from the first page with the author's ability to tell a story, to express emotions and setting and to transport the reader into the setting. Fair warning. Because it is so well crafted, it might draw the reader in closer than they expected (or even wanted) to go. This is not a light jaunt into sexual satisfaction. But as long as you are open minded and willing to follow along with our heroine, I can say the journey is well worth it.

Ellie Masters’ weaves another intricate tale of second chances. Angelica aka Angie aka Angel is what you could consider your average middle-aged housewife. That is until her husband has an affair and leaves Angie feeling duped in love. Her self-esteem takes a hard hit from the infidelity. It takes one man in Florida and a one-night stand for Angie to realize there might be something different for her to explore other than the mellow, vanilla lifestyle she has been used to. Down The Rabbit Hole kept me anxious for the next chapter until the very end. I loved following Angie through her journey of self-discovery. Ellie explains the BDSM lifestyle very well and makes you feel connected to that world. All in all it was a great book that I would definitely recommend.

This author never disappoints, when I first started reading her I didn't know what to expect, I was open minded to whatever it was I was about to adventure myself into. I have not regretted it ever since. Ellie Masters puts her heart and soul into each story she brings to her readers, she's magic with her words. This story was incredible, of course the title made me think of Alice in Wonderland, but it was far from it, outside of the hole that both Alice and Angie went down. Sometimes, we have to take those chances we are all afraid of and that's what Angie did, finding a life she would have never dreamed of. It wasn't an easy choice to make and each step was hard, but it ended up good for her. Love this author and can't wait for the next adventure she brings.

This book has a lot going for it if you are into bdsm type books. The book starts out with a woman searching to find herself after the world she knew implodes in front if her. In the process of her soul searching she finds herself thrust into a worls she knows nothing about, but wants to learn the ways of submitting to her true self. She finds friends and adventures and eventually finds a new way to love and be loved. I personally figured out the mystery of the men in her life rather quickly, but it didn't deter me from the story or take away the big tada moment in any way. I really enjoyed the book and hope maybe we can hear more about her and her hero in a future read.
