Barry Aaronson hates Cherry Valley. This town can’t even make a decent deli sandwich much less serve the same kind of top-shelf liquor he used to get in the city. Ever since he was dragged here to establish a tech start-up, he’s been stuck in a land of cowpatties, yee-haws, and scuffed boots.

I admit it. I have a soft spot for bad boys. It’s true what they say, though: you can have fun with a bad boy, but you fall in love with the good boy. Imagine my delight when we got the best of both worlds in BREATHLESS.
When we met Barry in book one (Aroused), I was wondering if he was going to end up moving back to California. His only redeemable quality was his sarcasm (and maybe his t-shirts). But if Zach saw something in him, I was willing to see what was under the surface.
Oh, so much more.
Barry is the guy who hides his pains and insecurities behind a hard, polished veneer. Prickly as a cactus, and just as resilient. He meets his match in Penny, a country girl with dreams of big city life. Every time one of them takes a step forward, the other pulls back. And one misunderstanding after another ramps up the tension.
Every interaction ramps up the heat.
This second installment in the ABC’s of Love series might be even better than the first. I can’t wait to see what Hart has in store for book three.

Barry is Zach’s partner in the technology business opening in Cherry valley. He’s been warned to keep away from the woman there as he’s an arrogant player.
Penny is dead set on getting away from the small town so one last fling before leaving is okay, until all her plans change.
Zach’s & Mandy’s story is called Aroused
Looking forward to reading climax next.
