Finding Home
I LOVE Johnny's premonition about Tex's future when he welcomes the soldier home. It started the book on a chuckle. Sadly, the feeling of mirth didn't last long upon meeting Kalani. 💔😢
This quickly descends into quite the horror when Tex goes digging into his past. I was not prepared for my heart to break several times due to the worst kind of sperm donor, and those in his employ. I do love her strength and courage despite it.
Despite the turmoil that's been her life, I love how Kalani still has some faith in humanity, and she seems to be a good judge of character. The chemistry with Tex is amazing and I LOVE his patience and kindness throughout.
Beware, this does get dark when what Kalani has gone through comes to light. There... It's just... There are no words. 😡😤😭 Even with this, it is a good book.
Oh, and do I sense a future crossover to another MC series, Devil's Boneyard? I think I do. Seamus may be in over his head in four or five (fictional) years. 😘 I can't wait!

Tex, real name Houston Rodriquez and Kalani's story was engaging yet heartbreaking but I'm so glad that they were able to have a promising HEA after all they both had endured. Protective and possessive Tex was able to find his sweet and innocent daughter, Janessa and daughter's friend, Kalani in one swoop while rescuing them from Hillview Asylum where some major perverted abuse was going on against the patients! Sadly, Kalani's father was the doctor at Hillview who recorded the unethical scenes. Although Kalani protected Janessa from the abused, Tex was from that point own enameled to this survivor, Kalani! There are some major triggers in "Tex (Dixie Reapers MC, #6) but besides that, I admired the way Harley Wylde was able to tell this story without including all the perverted details happening in that awful place.
This is by far my favorite book in the Dixie Reapers MC series!

This story was different from the previous Dixie books and it was greatly appreciated.
Now don't get me wrong, the Dixie Reapers series has some entertaining stories going on but the fact that all the heroines are virgins barely in their twenties that end up pregnant at the end of each book is getting really old ! At least here, the heroine wasn't a virgin, and for a little while I was happy that she seem she couldn't have any kids , it was a nice change, but the authors still found a way to get a pregnant in the end --"
Seriously?! Will there be at least ONE book that won't start with a virgin 20 something and end up with a pregnancy or baby ? Can't they wait a bit before having kids. Plus most of the pregnancies in this series are unplanned because the men just don't want to use condoms with their women --" my god! And the girls basically never think of co contraception.
Anyway.
Nice story , i really enjoyed the story and the leads.

This novel is absolutely amazing the story line was very thoughtful and easy to imagine these situations could actually happen, l mean you would know. I know is hard to believe although l had a friend of mine raped while in a Mental Hospital, the staff did not believe her until she gave birth with the same DNA as the father whom worked there at the time,so yes very thought provoking. I realise this novel is not real although l fine is truely amazing. I would recommend this novel to my many friends and family whom are like me and can not get enough of Harley’s stories. Thank you Harley you have once again created a outstanding novel, please keep them coming.

I loved Tex just like I expected that I would. What caught me by surprise and actually made me shed a tear was Kalani’s story. I loved her along with Janessa this is probably my favorite story besides Torch. I recommend it as a must read but you should read the other stories first it helps with keeping up with the others that are mentioned in the story. I finished this book so quickly because I couldn’t put it down.

Wow this book was so emotional for me, what the Heroine went through was heartbreaking, she sacrificed herself for a complete Stranger and through it all she manage to survive. Having the Hero's love made it all worth it, you outdid yourself with this book, I couldn't put it down till I was done, amazing job Harley Wylde, 5 stars, wish I could give it more but 5 is the limit, beautifully written!

Well, damn... This book was so much! Made me almost cry, made me laugh, made me "Aww!" and made me all hot and bothered. It was amazing, sexy, heartbreaking, sweet, funny..

What a book this was. It had every emotion in it and my heart broke for Kalani. I certainly had tears in my eyes with this book but did make me laugh too. I certainly did love this book.

This is Tex and Kalani’s story. I enjoyed the story, and appreciate the change of pace. Tex is newly home from the military. In hunting for and rescuing his daughter, he also rescues Kalani. Janessa is a spunky teen. Kalani had a hard life, and in the most unusual circumstance. She is a character that represents love and passion for those who don’t fit the stereotypical life. For someone with such limited exposure to society, she is remarkably stable and adapts quickly. Tex, and the other MCs, seek to protect Kalani and Janessa from the dangers after them. I appreciate how Harley Wylde wrote the story. Enough info was given for the reader to know the horrors that were experienced, but not so much as it was vivid and overwhelming. Great job with that balancing act.
In the story Kalani cannot have children, due to what happened to her. I was rooting for adoption, and bringing more wonderful kids into the club. I was a little disappointed when a baby happens anyway.
The story line is great, very engaging and entertaining. The characters are well developed, and reappear from book to book in the series. Narration was great! It is a joy to listen to the different voices and get totally immersed.

Narration review: Narrator has a clear and pleasant voice and is easy to understand. Her voice is not deep for the male voices, but it still works. Her voice drew me into the story. It wasn’t a long audiobook- I listened it in one marathon session. I’d recommend the narrator and would be happy to listen to another audiobook narrated by her.
Story review: I enjoyed this book. I got so interested in it that I listened in one long session. I found the hero and heroine to be likable and realistic as a couple. I liked that any violence took place off page rather than on. The abuse was mentioned but not detailed, which kept the book from going into a very dark direction. I liked that the relationships between different characters were strong, despite this being a relatively short audiobook. I enjoyed the growth of the main characters and of the romantic relationship. Ce tome 6, nous fait rencontrer un nouveau membre des Dixie Reapers, Tex, qui a frôlé la prison il ya de cela 20 ans, à cause d'une fille qui lui a dit qu'elle avait 21 ans alors qu'en faite elle n'en avait que 16 !! Et pour ne pas arranger les choses cette fille était aussi la fille du shériff !! Tex a dû signer un papier renonçant au droit sur son enfant à naitre, et il a décidé de partir en s'engageant dans l'armée !!
Tex est de nouveau de retour chez les Dixie Reapers après 15 ans, et il est surprit d'apprendre que la plupart de ces frères de club sont en couple et parents !! Mais pour lui, hors de question de se poser avec une femme, surtout après ce qu'il s'est passé la dernière fois....
Mais les choses ne vont pas se passer comme Tex l'imaginait, après avoir faite des recherches pour retrouver sa fille, il va être très surprit d'apprendre que celle-ci est internée depuis l'âge de 7 ans, depuis que sa mère est décédée et que depuis elle n'en est pas sortie !!

Tex is finally home from the military. Almost immediately, he is hit with the news that the daughter he signed his rights away to so many years ago is in trouble. She has been locked up in an asylum and the facility is shady. When he goes to rescue her with his MC brothers, she refuses to leave without Kalani. Kalani was born in the asylum and figures it won't be long until she dies there. When a huge man too gorgeous to be real shows up to save Janessa, she can't bear to hope that this will be her chance to leave. Tex is happy that he has his daughter but Kalani needs him too. They are both his girls and he will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. I loved these two together! Kalani's life was so tragic and horrific until Tex saves her. He is so gentle with her, does whatever she needs him to do so that she feels safe. This was the sweetest romance with all the steam you expect from Harley Wylde. I loved every moment I spent with Tex and Kalani!

When he finds out that she is in an asylum, there is no way he is leaving her there. Kalani had been in Hillview forever. I was surprised at what was happening with Kalani. I mean that was crazy what Hillview was doing. And her life was only that. I was as grateful as Tex for her help with Janessa. What do you get when you find a child you never knew you had that has been locked in a mental hospital and an instant wife? You get Harley Wylde's Tex. Tex is a retired military man who only recently found out he has a daughter that has been all but abandoned in a mental hospital that is run by a sadistic psychiatrist and of all the horrors his child could have gone through, she was protected by a woman who was abandoned there as well since she was a child. The Dixie Reapers come to their aid and Tex gets a daughter and a "Wife" but can Tex heal all the abuse that Kahlani has endured? This book has it all-a father's love for his daughter, a blossoming love, action and adventure, and the Dixie Reapers all in fighting form. Forget SOA, Harley Wylde's biker series is way better!

What a story! Tex finally finds his daughter who's been put in a mental home and he goes in rescues her and her friend Kalani, who has been abused by her father who is also a doctor at the home. To protect her he marries her and what a love story between these 2. love this series!

HOLY FREAKIN MOLY!
This is Tex, Kalani and Janessa's beginning. OMG! This book is kinda like a rollercoaster ride, you start out climbing in the seat getting excited about what's coming, then the ride starts and you're getting more excited, then it starts climbing and you're getting nervous about what's coming next then you reach the top and you're free falling. Lol! Tex comes home to the Dixie Reaper's after being gone in the Army for fifteen years. He had to leave when he got his then girlfriend pregnant not knowing she was only 16 so it was either go in the service or go to prison. And her father was the chief of police. Go figure. Lol. So he signed away his rights to the baby and left never looking back having no idea what happened to the girl or the kid. And now he's home so much has changed. When Tank introduces Tex to Wire and Wire gives him some shocking information about the girl and her family and gets to digging to find out about the kid. Now Tex wouldn't stop until he finds his kid. When Torch gives Tex the information he's been waiting for it was heartbreaking to think about what this little girl has been going through. Family is important to the Dixie Reaper's and they will stop at nothing to get his daughter Janessa back. Unfortunately she's had a nightmare of a life but what they find when they get there is shocking had me crying the ugly cry. The Dixie Reaper's are pis*ed and from here you just know there's gonna be hell to pay. And I couldn't wait to find out. They also find Kalani who is a beautiful woman who has taken it upon herself to protect Janessa from all the darkness of the place or so she thought. Kalani has been to hell and has lived to tell about it. She's so strong but also extremely vulnerable. This book was a page turner for me and at times I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was gonna happen next. The torture that Kalani is put through was so intense it's sad and crazy what she's had to endure. Unfortunately poor little Janessa has seen it all. Some parts of this story is so heartbreaking but there's plenty of good to help make up for the bad. Tex has some tough decisions to make but they turn out to be the best decisions he's ever made. Due to the torture that Kalani has endured its left her afraid of her own shadow. When things start to be revealed it left me sitting with my mouth hanging open thinking wow. Can Tex and Kalani ever get through what they never saw coming? There is so much going on in this book and I loved every minute of it. I can't say enough about this book. At times it so touching and heartwarming I was almost crying again. Lol. I love getting lost in Harley's books. I extremely recommend this series to everyone. With each book it just gets better.

Now Tex wouldn't stop until he finds his kid. When Torch gives Tex the information he's been waiting for it was heartbreaking to think about what this little girl has been going through. Family is important to the Dixie Reaper's and they will stop at nothing to get his daughter Janessa back. Unfortunately she's had a nightmare of a life but what they find when they get there is shocking had me crying the ugly cry. The Dixie Reaper's are pis*ed and from here you just know there's gonna be hell to pay. And I couldn't wait to find out. They also find Kalani who is a beautiful woman who has taken it upon herself to protect Janessa from all the darkness of the place or so she thought. Kalani has been to hell and has lived to tell about it. She's so strong but also extremely vulnerable. This book was a page turner for me and at times I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was gonna happen next. The torture that Kalani is put through was so intense it's sad and crazy what she's had to endure. Unfortunately poor little Janessa has seen it all. Some parts of this story is so heartbreaking but there's plenty of good to help make up for the bad. Tex has some tough decisions to make but they turn out to be the best decisions he's ever made. Due to the torture that Kalani has endured its left her afraid of her own shadow. When things start to be revealed it left me sitting with my mouth hanging open thinking wow. Can Tex and Kalani ever get through what they never saw coming? There is so much going on in this book and I loved every minute of it. I can't say enough about this book. At times it so touching and heartwarming I was almost crying again. Lol. I love getting lost in Harley's books. I extremely recommend this series to everyone. With each book it just gets better.

Tex is book six in the Dixie reapers mc series. I freaking love this series! I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I really liked Tex. He joined the Army and redeemed his actions – to be fair it wasn’t his fault that the girl lied to him. He wanted to check on his daughter and when he got horrific news, he was determined to get his baby girl out of the asylum. What he didn’t expect when he and some of the brothers went to get Janessa out was to meet Kalani. I loved Kalani from the moment she entered the story. Her life had been horrific but for the seven years that Janessa had been in the asylum, she had taken care of her. Kalani had been through horrific things in order to protect Janessa. Kalani was truly selfless and Tex soon realised that. I liked that despite the trouble it would bring, Tex and the Dixie reapers MC brothers were determined to keep her safe and away from the asylum
The chemistry between Tex and Kalani was clear to see but it didn’t overpower the emotional side if this story. I love, love, love how patient Tex was with Kalani. He didn’t rush her once. Nor did her overlook her feelings, fear or what she had been through.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an emotional and gripping read. I cannot wait for more from this series. I also cannot wait for the Devil’s bone yard MC to have their own series ( I heard they would so I hope that is true) I am eager for Scratch to have a story and I also want more of Seamus as I really liked him in this story. Also: is it greedy of me to want Janessa to have her own story? I want more of her. I guess it is obvious how much I love this series and the characters that are from a different MC.
