No cheating between the mcs but the h caught her boyfriend cheating with the best friend. Just a sentence or 2 with the ow/om, but didn't last long. Great read.

I had two big issues with Quiver For Me.
First, while reading, my mind was wondering, "Oh, grammar, where did you disappear to?"
Two, this story felt like it was written just because someone else had a huge success with a similar plot. The characters (and the story itself) were underdeveloped.
I could forgive one thing, not both.
It's been a while since I've read J.L. Beck and it's a truly sad, painful thing to see that nothing has changed. Probably the motivation to create better and better work is non-existent or overridden by the need to make more and more money.
If not for being behind in my reading challenge, I wouldn't have picked this up. So I blame myself. Bad Fíba!

I LOVED this story by J.L. It is sweet, sexy, and makes you quiver in your pants. HAHA. This is a step-daughter and step-father story that you have to read.
Cara finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her when she walks in on him boinking her best friend on their bed. When she walks out of their apartment she has nowhere to go, so she calls her stepfather from a few years back. Her mother is on a new husband but she has always been close to Hawk.
Hawk is divorced from Cara's mother but he has always looked after her. He knew as soon as he answered the phone and heard Cara's voice that he would do anything he could to help her. So she ends up at his house as a guest. But soon things become too much for either of them to handle.

I think I may have been expecting too much. I was hoping for a quick, hot read akin to Alexa Riley. Well, there was heat there, to be sure, and it certainly was quick, but there was so little of everything else, unfortunately. Character development is nowhere to be found, and that's a real shame. It would have made this story so much more fulfilling. I can look past grammatical tense issues, spelling errors, and other glaring grammer problems, if the characters are engaging and heartwarming. They just weren't here. I know nothing about them - I don't know what Hawk does to make so much money, I don't know why Cara and her mother don't get along, or why Hawk and Cara's mother were married in the first place (she wanted his money, but what was Hawk's reasoning?), or anything. Truly. I know nothing. And that's a damn shame. And the sex scenes had a general air of "samesies" about it - nothing new or exciting, sadly. Oh well. It was worth a shot!

Top much dd/lg not enough plot. Would have loves to see 20 more pages of the cat and mouse game between thme her trying to seduce him and him trying to resist. 3.5 stars

Cara came home from work to find her boyfriend sleeping with her best friend. Unable to believe what was happening she leaves and can't think of a place to go until she sees her ex-stepfather's name in her contacts on her phone. Never dreaming he'd pick up she tried anyways. Hawk has always been drawn to Cara even when he was married to her mother. Cara has always been just out of reach and so innocent to him that he never thought he'd ever get a chance to have her. However when he saw her calling him he knew that it had to be something bad. Upon arriving at Hawk's place Cara breaks down in his arms. They try to fight what the feel but soon its too hard not to give into temptation but it feels too right not to do so. Will Cara be able to deal with Hawk's possessiveness? Will Hawk lose her when she finds out how close he has been watching her?
This was a steamy hot story that'll have your attention from the very beginning. The chemistry between Hawk and Cara is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

This story is short, fast paced and hot. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. The writing style is easy to follow, the characters are likeable and the storyline is hot. I liked that Cara didn’t let her cheating boyfriend talk her out of leaving; I was cheering her on when she left. I liked that despite having not seen on spoken to Hawk in years; he was the one she called. I really liked Hawk. His love and attraction towards Cara was clear to see. He wanted her but he held off because of the age difference. The chemistry between Cara and Hawk is clear to see and I liked that Cara went after what she wanted, Hawk.
I really liked them as a couple and they suited one another perfectly.
Some of the scenes in this story are kindle melting hot.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

In the spur of the moment she phoned Hawk. I'm not gonna give any spoilers.
From the beginning I was pulled into this story, with the easy flowing text and great word building. It's informative and realistic, entertaining, The character description is believable, with dynamic characters. Their is electricity, sparks.
This story is a real page turner. Romantic, steamy and erotic, and entertaining, with three villains in this story.
This is a must read book and a real panty wetter,oh my gosh it's so hot this story.

Hot! Hot!! Hot!!! Quiver For Me By J.L. Beck had the pages melting with each word written. Cara was betrayed not only by her boyfriend but her best friend as well. Her mom was running around with her newest husband and this left Cara alone with only one person she could think could help her, Hawk! He is sexy, dominant and a whole lotta man!! He is also technically Cara’s step-dad, even though it was five years before. Once these two were alone together however there was just no stopping the fire between them. Hawk is everything Cara could need and more and man did he own her!! I have to say that this quick read doesn’t have much story to it but it has steamy scenes that will make this one hot read for the summer, making this a five star story for sure.

What a steamy read about Cara and Hawk. 5 years have passed since she last saw Hawk see was a teenager then. I think it was her mothers 3rd or 4th husband back then. When Cara comes home from work to find her best friend in bed with her boyfriend Adam in bed together, she flees not having anywhere else to go, as she scrolls through her phone Hawk's name appears, Adam is chasing after her she calls Hawk for help and somewhere to stay. Their underlining sexual chemistry is undeniable as Hawk tries to ward off his lustful thoughts as Cara tries to get closer as she h as always has a crush on him and the 5 years that have passed hasn't changed a thing she wants what once was her step father. A erotic read worth reading.

Quiver For Me is a quick read that is full of very hot steamy sex. Cara comes home from work to find her lazy good for nothing boyfriend in her bed with her bestfriend. Upset and no where to go and not sure who to call she decides to call her ex stepfather Hawk for help. It's been over 5 years since she last saw him but she has never forgot him. Once they are back in the same house the chemistry between them heats up and nothing will keep them apart no matter how taboo their relationship started out.

Cara and Hawk have an unusual relationship. They haven't seen each other in 5 years but when Cara finds her boyfriend cheating, she doesn't know where else to turn. Hawk was her step father. Now he's her everything. This could have went so many different directions but I liked where it did. Hawk is dominating but loving. Cara has been saving herself for her prefect man, Hawk. She never thought it could be him. This was a fast read but hot as Hades.

A really quick sexy and steamy read. I really liked Cara and Hawk's story. The storyline was great and I didn't feel it was as taboo as the characters thought at times. I liked that even though Hawk was not in Cara's life for awhile he looked out for her and made sure she was okay. What her then boyfriend and best friend did to her was so wrong. I was happy to see she found someone to lover her for who she was. Great story and loved the HEA!

Another good one from Josie Beck. Hawk and Cara have wanted each other for 5 years in a moment of desperation Cara reaches out to Hawk for help. I love the interaction between the main characters and this book is super HOT! I also appreciate how the main character is wronged in the beginning but at the end she's able to go back and show that she's triumphed. I also like how she gains enough confidence to confront her awful mother which I don't often see in books. All in all a good read.

This is a quick fast paced story, which had me hooked and intrigued throughout. Cara is betrayed by her deadbeat boyfriend and her best friend, and having nowhere to go; she reaches out to her ex step-day Hawk. Hawk has been keeping tabs on Cara since he was married to her mom, and is only too happy to help. This is a well written hot and steamy read, and I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

This a super sexy story. Cara being betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend and no one in her life who cares enough about her she calls her stepdad who she hasn't seen in awhile not knowing he knows almost everything about her after 5 years and one look is all it takes to bring back that intensity and second chance to go for it. Wow! This story is a quick, hot taboo read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Cara catches her boyfriend cheating on her and runs to the only person she can depend on, her former stepfather Hawk. She quickly falls for him but questions if he feels the same for her. I love the storyline and how protective Hawk is towards Cara. My only wish is that the story was a little longer.

A very hot and steamy read from the beginning plus a quick read to boot. Cara finds her boyfriend in bed with her best friend and calls the only person she can think of...…..Hawk......her moms ex husband, her ex stepfather. She has liked him since she was 16 and he has liked her but neither did anything about it. Now she is in his house all bets are off. As things get steamy between the 2 of them, Cara knows she has to go back to pick her stuff up from her ex's place. She has an unexpected visit from her mom at Hawks house and is told to go away (although not to politely by Cara). Will these two get a HEA? or is it just lust at the end of the day? A great quick read, perfect for some bedtime reading.

Quiver for Me is a perfect blend of a fast pace story, a super sexy couple, with a touch of taboo by the Queen of Erotica J.L. Beck. This story will make you forget how naughty this story can really be, I like how Quiver for Me had some obsession tendencies but mostly over protective alpha male qualities. Loved the ending.

This was a hot and steamy read. The storyline flowed smoothly and the characters were perfect for each other. The chemistry between Hawk and Cara is so explosively hot. Hawk is very protective of Cara and will do whatever it takes to make her feel safe and loved. This is a quick read, heavy on the steam. I was laughing out loud at one of the scenes towards the end. Don't miss this novella.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This was a very quick but very hot read with a HEA ending. When Cara's Boyfriend cheats on her with her best friend she finds herself with no where to go and no one to turn too. Except her ex-step dad Hawk and he is all too happy to help. I enjoyed this book. Just not a fan "daddy" books.
