Joe Hawke #10

The King's Tomb

Rate this book
Hawke returns in his tenth adventure to find himself hurled into a dramatic race against time as the ECHO team fight to rescue Lexi from her brutal kidnappers, retrieve the mysterious Sword of Fire and locate the King’s Tomb.

The divided team fight their way from the South African veld and streets of Hong Kong and Beijing to the ancient hills of Greece and Europe’s oldest sunken city, battling like warriors in their bid to deny the Oracle and his deadly cult the treasure they desire to control the world’s future. Meanwhile, the worst terror attack in the history of the United States is being planned by a group of conspirators at the heart of the American Government, all of them intent on removing President Jack Brooke from the White House at any cost.

The fastest and most action-packed adventure the team has ever been on challenges each of them like never before. They pull together, showing unrivalled bravery, camaraderie and courage, but not all of them will survive this most bloody of missions.

Excellent reading!

I started reading the Joe Hawke series about two months ago, starting with the first novel, The Vault of Poseidon, and I am totally sucked in to Echo team's adventures! There were a couple of books in the series where the action and adventure seemed to be lost, but I was so happy to see its revival here. As much as this is a fantastical novel with the ancient element, I love the fact that Rob Jones & Echo team make it seem so real. The King's Tomb is fantastic!! Makes you wonder how much the government really knows .........

This was a rough adventure for the Echo Team. Lexi got captured on tortured. Devlin got killed. Lea kidnapped. Joe was harpooned, knifed, and shot.
Ryan finally Killed Dirk.

The foiled the plan to blow up the President and other world leaders. The Oracle is still out there. The team still has a bounty on their head.

Eden and Lund know things are really going to get rough.

Another great part of the Joe Hawke story

10 books in and I'm still really enjoying the echo teams story.

This book has the action sequences tied in with the the mythical\archeological bits and if you've stayed with the series this long you will enjoy this one too sure.

Love following the development of the characters over the series and look forward to many more.
