Saffron, Colorado is Jake's hometown. Jake made good and became a famous Hollywood film producer and entrepreneur. Overcome by the glitz and glamour he forgot his roots and partied with the rich and famous at his Hollywood mansion - until a young starlet he'd seduced overdosed and died there - after which he became a pariah.
Hounded by the press Jake's kept a reclusive low profile, until an appeal for help back home, (from his former best friend Andrew), following a tornado's devastation, brings him back and reunites him with Ellie. She's a waitress and musician at the Tiny Kaleidoscope, who was Jake's high school sweetheart. She's stayed in Saffron all her life, turning down an offer to collaborate with a Hollywood songwriter, in order to avoid Jake - until now, thanks to her brother Andrew.

Another fantastic story by Kayley Cole!!

Ellie wants to be a song writer and performs regularly at the Tiny Kaleidoscope in hopes to be seen by a scout. When she finally gets approached by one offering her the chance of a lifetime she turns it down since she refuses to move to Hollywood. Her town gets hit by a tornado and destroys half the town she grew up in. While she is dealing with some other craziness in her life a person from her past shows up and it's one she wasn't ever expecting to see again.

Jake left home almost 10 years ago to become a famous producer and has been one since. When an actress overdoses at his house he starts to get hounded by the paparazzi and holds himself up in his Hollywood home. Bored out of his mind he starts going through boxes of fan mail when he stumbles upon a letter from his former best friend, Andrew, asking for help to repair their hometown after a tornado hit. Once he gets there he has to face his past and finally deal with what happened.

Ellie and Jake work together on rebuilding not only their hometown but their relationship as Ellie's life takes more twists and turns.

An interesting and intriguing suspense that is well written second chance romance with surprises, twists and turns, and a stalker who surprises you. There is lovely and engaging characters with lots of chrmistry keeping me turning page after page. Ellie is a song writer who is finally noticed but refuses to move to Hollywood. Jake in a famous producer hidingnin his Hollywood home from a scandel of an actress who Oded. When Jakes best friend asks him to come home and help the devastation from a tornado that destroyed half of his home town. He and Elle works together on rebuilding their hometown and relationship. A truly enjoyable story.

The famous director Jake have to return to his hometown to help his people after a tornado hit the place, but he have to meet his old flame Ellie whom he thinks has betrayed him. While is struggling in her career to be a singer and having a secret which she has to protect from Jake. But they meet again thinks get more complicated when stalker enter in. I loved this book from Kayley Cole, this book has a HEA and really hot chemistry that can blast the beaker.

An Amazing, Engaging, Must Read Story

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. Kayley Cole has written another really great book. “Twisted Hope” is an amazing read. I really liked this story. It is an interesting, intriguing, really well written book with lovely engaging characters, Jake & Ellie, who have great chemistry and interaction that pulled me into their story. I didn’t want to put it down. This is an Entertaining, Must Read, Second Chance Romance that kept me engrossed from start to finish.

This is a compelling second chance romance that is completely engrossing from start to finish. The gripping storyline is well-developed, suspense-filled and intriguing - I had absolutely no idea what was going to happen next. The plot is consistent, relatable, and well-developed … the unexpected twist which is very sad added to the excitement. An amazing and interesting read with really likeable characters. At the start it sounds like another twisted tale of a Hollywood goes wrong. One letter changing everything, shapes the future. Bringing you a wonderful tale of a lost love and an overprotective family that brings back the love that buried deep down. It soon becomes the calm after the storm, bringing to life the love that never faded. Like a rose, the thorns protect it, even when the season ends until the next one rolls around, Jake is the thorn and Ellie is the rose, made for each other.

The power of love and forgiveness

Sometimes it takes a serious incident to show is what is wrong in our life. The drug overdose by a young woman made Jake see the choices he made had consequences. Returning to his hometown showed him what he left behind and the mistakes he made. Especially when he saw Erika and realized what he lost. This is a very heartwarming story and the writer pulls you in.

There's hope in this twisted, tangled story

Twisted Hope by Kayley Cole is the first book I read by this author. It's well written and drew me in, held me captive until the very end. As the first book of the Twisted series, the characters (Jake and Ellie) make me want more so Twisted Passion is definietely on my to be read list!
Overall a good book with many elements of romance that I really enjoy; second chance, suspense, mild danger and resolution for a HEA.

Jake and Ellie have a twisted path that is brought brought back into focus thanks to an actual twister that hits home. Loved the action and anticipation felt in this book and the lost love and lust found again. With twists and turns through out the story you won't be able to put it down!

This was a good suspense romance though there was a spot that seemed sudden to me (not the plot climax). Maybe I missed where it led up to it.
Anyway, Jake and Ellie had good chemistry even with their messed up backgrounds and adult lives. And I really liked the music video that was part of the story.

Good plot line but not well written ☹️

Although I think the plot line for this book was a great idea, to me, the way it was written felt very discombobulated. It seemed to just suddenly jump in some places and I actually found it pretty hard going to read.
