i read this series as part of an arc program. I really liked this series. Blue Ridge Bear is the story of Mikayla, a young actress from NYC who gets injured while on an audition and decides to spend the summer with her friend Avery and her husband Blake in the Blue Ridge Mountain. When Mikayla arrives, she meets Ethan, Blake's brother. Mikayla thinks Ethan is hot, but when she is left alone with him, he tells her he is a bear shifter and needs her to tie him up at night. Mikayla thinks he is crazy, until he changes into a bear. When they start a relationship, Mikayla thinks it is a fling for the summer, but Ethan is more dependent on Mikayla and more serious than she is. Ethan relies on Mikayla and she thinks it might be too much to handle. Mikayla has to try and decide if it all too much too soon with Ethan. Peak Point Bear is about Douglas, who is Ethan and Blake's brother and is also a bear shifter. Douglas has recently lost his job as a police officer because he couldn't work overnight shifts and control his shifting into a bear. Douglas was staying at Blake's cabin in the mountain because he needed them to tie him up at night. Douglas was also dealing with low self esteem because a former girlfriend saw him shift into a bear and left him. When they suggest Douglas go into town and try to find a job to give him something to do until he figures out his life, he sees a beautiful girl at the café and he flirts with her. Ellen works at the café and has just ended an abusive relationship. When Douglas mentions he is looking for work, she offers to pass along his contact information to her boss. Douglas is smitten with Ellen and asks her out, but he tells her he has to be home by 10 pm. When they start a relationship, Ellen starts to wonder what he is hiding and why he has to be home every night by 10 pm. Bolt Castle Bear is the story between Jenna and Xander. Jenna arrives in upstate New York after contacting Chris about his blog regarding shifters. Jenna is a bear and has been alone since her grandmother died. Jenna is excited about meeting others like her, but when she arrives, Xander is leary because word has spread about poachers on their way to hunt the shifters. Xander is the leader of the clan and decides to allow Jenna to stay so she can learn to control her bear. Jenna doesn't know Xander is a shifter and he is nervous to tell her. Xander has had a lot of personal loss in his life and he is afraid to let anyone get close again, but he feels drawn to Jenna. When the poachers get closer, they all make the decision to split up in hopes of luring the poachers out. Xander and Jenna return to his home, Bolt Castle, where he lost his family. Soon the pair find themselves fighting with the others for their lives. Alexander Bay Bear is the story of Mason, who is Jenna's brother and he is a also a bear shifter from Canada. Charlotte is a young woman from Connecticut who is hired to be a nanny for Penny, Blake and Avery's baby daughter. When Charlotte arrives at the castle, she is a little shocked to see where she will be living. Charlotte has a lot of questions about the group of friends and family who live there and when Chris mentions danger, she really begins to wonder what she got herself into. Mason is attracted to Charlotte and wants to date her, but Charlotte is a little nervous because she is scared if a relationship with Mason didn't work, she still has to live in the castle with him. Mason is determined and slowly wins Charlotte over, but she still has questions. When Mason learns he has to return to Canada, Charlotte wants to know why and Mason is scared to tell her he is a bear and poachers are coming after them. When a man from Charlotte's hometown shows up claiming to be her friend, Mason lets him in, but Charlotte tells him to leave because she is not interested in him, even if her parents told him he should date her. When Charlotte learns Mason is a bear, she knows there is more he isn't telling her. When she learns the truth, she knows she has to help any way she can. I loved this series and thought it was well done. I liked how the stories all told of the men finding their mates, but also how the story continued through. Great series.

Blue Ridge Bear- When I saw this book given on Booksprout for ARC's, I signed up to see if I like her style of writing and I also love these types of stories. I was totally into this story about a actress Mikayla, who broke her leg on audition who goes to her friend's Avery cabin to recuperate. Avery sets her up with Blake's brother Ethan. At first our two are like cats-and-dogs but then Ethan tells her he has a hard time controlling his bear and she agrees to help him. They both struggle with their feelings while getting closer together. Mikayla feels being relied on too much that she lost her independence, and Ethan is struggling to please Mikayla who's he's in love with against her family approval. Will these two find a way to reach their HEA? Overall I loved this well written story, liked the characters and the romantic scenes. Peak Point Bear-"A Wonderful Shifter Romance" that was highly enjoyable to read. Douglas is an ex-cop because he couldn't work the night shift. He couldn't tell them he shifted to a bear at night. So one day he orders coffee at a coffee shop to find work on his laptop and Ellen who works there takes his order and they start talking. He asks her out when they meet again and they start dating. Ellen just got out of a abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend and is wary and insecure and Douglas is afraid to tell Ellen because his ex-girlfriend left him when she found out. Can a relationship succeed with secrets and mistrust? I loved the story, the supporting characters and Douglas and Ellen in the third book in this series Bolt Castle Bear-A novel full of action, drama and romance that has all the characters from the previous books that made this entirely enjoyable to read. Jenna a bear shifter was raised by her Grandmother after her parents death. When her Grandmother died from cancer she goes on-line to search for others of her kind. Jenna chats with Chris and he invites her to meet. She's goes hoping to get more information on shifters and meet more of her kind. While meeting Chris at a Diner she meets Avery who invites her to dinner. At dinner with the others, she meets Xander who she's attracted to. They let her stay with reservations because there are rumors of poachers in the area and they think Jenna is a trap. Will Jenna be included into the fold and will Xander let his past keep him separated from Jenna? Haley Weir wrote a great story combining the characters all together in this book. Alexander Bay Bear- The last in this series is about Mason and Charlotte. Charlotte gets hired to be the nanny to Penelope the baby daughter of Avery and Blake. When she arrives at Bolt Castle she meets Mason the brother of Jenna who takes her luggage to her room. Mason asks her out on a date but she's not too sure she wants to get involved. Charlotte finally agrees and they have a great time but on her way back from the date the men want to talk with Mason. After Mason talks with the men she asks Mason what's happening but he doesn't tell her making her questioning her budding feelings for him. What are the men hiding from her? Can Charlotte trust Mason? There is some sadness about what happens to Mason's clan in Canada before we reach our HEA. The characters from the previous books made this enjoyable to read. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.

It;s a little much and she hopes it isn;t a cult. She meets Avery who introduces her to Mason, Jenna;s brother. Things are beginning to look her for Charlotte until danger threatens.
Fantastic stories and reads! It is great to start a series and just go one right after the other! The characters are cute and endearing not only to each other but to the reader as well. You will be drawn into their lives and start rooting for them and their HEAs!

This set contains the 4 books of the North Peak Shifters series, so you will get to enjoy the whole series! Below reviews of two of the books as an example of the stories that are included.
>>> Reviewing “BLUE RIDGE BEAR - BOOK 2” <<< In this second book of the North Peak Shifters series, Mikayla , a headstrong young woman trying out for a part in a play, has an accident and breaks her ankle. Her friend, Avery, invites her to take it easy and spend some time at a cabin while she heals. However, Ethan, a strong-willed alpha bear shifter -- still trying to learn how to control his inner bear -- also happens to be at the cabin at that time. Being such a headstrong pair may not be the best way to deal with each other under these circumstances!
The two main characters have amazing chemistry. But with strong emotions getting in the way, will they be able to recognize their attraction for what it is? Or will Mikayla leave and not look back, never knowing what she may be giving up?
>>> Reviewing “BOLT CASTLE BEAR - BOOK 4” <<< Jenna has always loved being physically active, excelling at all sorts of sports. So at 6 a.m. every day she went out for a run through town, trying to keep her thoughts off of the loss of her beloved grandmother from cancer. Now she was all alone. She contacted a blogger who was researching shifters, hoping to find some answers about herself since she was a bear shifter with little experience. When she returned home, she packed and headed to upstate New York where Chris was waiting to meet with her in person.
Jenna is invited by Ellen, one of Chris’ roommates, to come by for dinner and to meet the others. Xander opens the door and she is immediately attracted to him, even though he is not very friendly to her. Xander takes care of the others whom he considers his family, and he takes this protection seriously. But he doesn’t want Jenna to know he is a shifter until they are sure about her intentions. Even with people knowing about shifters, not all people accept them.
Jenna finally told Xander that she shifts into her bear at 10 p.m. but she ties herself up to avoid the possibility of endangering anyone. As they tell each other their histories, how they lost family members, Xander kisses Jenna, starting to believe she is telling him the truth. When Jenna looks through the books in the common room, she pulls down a book from a shelf and is startled to recognize a picture of two poachers – she is sure she saw them when she was a little girl! And now the poachers are coming after the shifters!! Will their “family” survive?
This is a fast, easy read that I think the reader will enjoy. Get your copy and see how everything turns out for them all as they deal with changes and issues together!

Ellen has finally left her controlling boyfriend and staying with her best friend. He is encouraging her to go back to work. When Douglas walks into the cafe and Ellen goes to serve him something happens. Can they get together? What does Ellen think every time that Douglas won’t see her past ten? Can she trust him? Blue Ridge Bear - An enjoyable fast pace paranormal romance, that has quite a bit of ups and downs. The story is well written with characters (Ethan and Mikayla) though complete opposites have undeniable chemistry and love, acceptance and understanding prevailed in the end. The plot is well developed, consistent and moves at a brisk pace. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
Peak Point Bear - Another enjoyable book in the “North Peak Shifters” paranormal series. This is a fast pace page-turner that is completely engrossing from start to finish. It is well written, very interesting and engaging. The plot is well-developed, consistent and flows smoothly. Amazing and strong characters (Douglas and Ellen) you will love. A must read!
Bolt Castle Bear - This series is really very enjoyable. This book is a page turner that flows smoothly at a very brisk pace … before you know it you are at the end. It is well written, well-developed, funny, witty, and action packed … not a boring page to be found. The chemistry between the characters (Xander and Jenna) is instant and hot. As the series progresses, more answer is given and other characters are introduced. A really compelling read and comes highly recommended.
Alexander Bay Bear – Mason and Charlotte - This book is a compelling read. It is well written, funny, and witty. It is an on the edge of your seat read that moves at a brisk pace. The storyline is exciting, and flows smoothly; the plot is well-developed and consistent. The story is action-packed, drama-filled, with lots of intrigue and suspense. Mason and Charlotte are strong and a perfect fit. The chemistry between them is instant, potent, and hot. I love the brilliant way the North Peak Shifters dealt with the many obstacles, losses, and danger they faced in order to ensure their survival. This is a gripping series which I highly recommend.

Blue Ridge: I loved the slight twist on the Shifter theme! I did find that Mikayla was her own worst enemy by over thinking and wanting everyone's approval but she found herself in the end! Ethan is great if a little on the sensitive side! Great interplay between all the characters but i did find her male family members annoying and overbearing and intolerant! Peak Point: This book is a great continuation of the series! Ellen and Douglas both have issues and it is refreshing to have a male character having baggage that he struggles to deal with and dealing graciously with a girl, even when his heart is breaking! She also has issues but they are relatively simple in comparison to his but she deals well.
Great interaction with previous characters coming to play too Bolt Castle: For a series continuation, i found this to be good but I found some of the detail a little lacking - the build up to events was fabulous but the event just floated by with little mention as if it was a non-event! I found I was left needing more information as questions were not answered. The characters were built up nicely and the romance was good I still recommend this, despite the lack of detail Alexander Bay: This is the finale to the series and wraps everything up neatly whilst creating a story for Mason and Charlotte! The group are now living in Bolt Castle and need a nanny - enter Charlotte. Of course there are sparks and Mason and Charlotte get together. An adventure ensue to sort out the poachers. All in all a good story and a really great series This set covers books 2-5

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. North Peak Shifters Box Set by Haley Weir is a 4 book boxed set. Please note **This set Does Not include Book One - East River Bear - Avery and Blake's Story** I would, therefore, post a Spoiler Alert for the boxed set as the books pick up right after the events in book one with Mikayla and Ethan's story. To get the maximum enjoyment from these stories, the series should be read in order. With that said, I really enjoyed these books! There is so much action, adventure, fun, snark, love, betrayal, sexy shifters, steamy love scenes and did I mention Sexy Shifters! Blue Ridge Bear (book two) wasn't my favorite. I thought Mikayla could have been developed a little differently, but that's the beauty of the series. Haley Weir isn't afraid to give us flawed characters that need growth and indeed do grow through the series. Peak Point Bear gives us Douglas and Ellen's story, a heartwarming story of love and perseverance. Bolt Castle Bear gives us Jenna and Xander's story (and I think this is my favorite of the group). The fourth book in this set is a bonus story - Alexander Bay Bear, Mason and Charlotte's story. These stories are all intertwined and build to an amazing and unexpected showdown in Alexander Bay Bear. Haley Weir is a new author for me and with a little Christine Warren flavor, I plan to keep an eye out for more of her work. I highly recommend this entertaining and emotion packed read.

A good collection of stories that follows three brothers. These shifters do not have control over their bears and must be chained by 10 pm nightly to protect themselves and others. It is exciting to follow them as they learn how to manage their bears and find their mates. Besides their everyday problems, they have become a target for a group of dangerous poachers that have a history with one of the family. When it comes to the final showdown, will everyone make it out standing or will the losses be too much? I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Lots of great characters in this boxset. First you have Blake and Avery who start this series with lots of great chemistry. Next you have Ethan and Mikayla's story followed by Douglas and Ellen. After the three brothers get together with their mates you have Xander's story as he gets together with Jenna who is also a shifter. All through these stories you have lots of action and plenty steam. Mason who is Jenna's brother is the last story when he meets Charlotte. All the characters were wonderful and there is plenty of action as they keep fighting the poachers who like to kill the bears. Loved it! I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received from booksprout
4 Stories of Shifters falling in love with humans, and, despite the odds succeeding to create a happy ending. Their stories are told in the fairly unique almost "matter-of-fact" way Ms. Weir has become known of. I had read all of the stories once before - but it was nice, to read them again, back to back, and following the pack and the shifter's lives once more. If you like Ms. Weir's style of writing, you are in for a treat reading this collection of "North Peak Shifters" Stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this set of books. The stories for well written and intertwined with each other even though they were standing alone stories. There are connections between the characters in all the books and which led him to the next story. If you like bears these are books that you can’t pass up. You will get really involved in the stories and won’t be able to put them down. I was an ARC reviewer for these stories and look forward to finding more

This is the compilation of all the previous North Peak bear shifter books by Haley, with the added book, Alexander Bay Bear. This about Charlotte, who becomes a nanny to Penelope, and Mason, who is Jenna's brother. Charlotte doesn't realize that Mason is a shifter, but she knows that he's hiding something. They all end up having to fight the poachers again. This is a good series.
Another great bear shifter book from Haley.

All fighting for their lives from poacher. The bears meeting their fated mates, having someone to protect. In the end they win their battle and get to have their happy ever after.

This is a must have shifter romance collection. The books are well written and have great storylines. They are filled with danger, suspense, survival and steam. The alpha shifters and their mates are perfect together and have sizzling chemistry. I really enjoyed this box set and definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys shifter romance. I voluntarily received an advanced arc copy through Booksprout for an honest review.
I liked this book because it has four books in one. When you read this book you don't need to wait for the other books to be written to see the end. The book is fiction but it allows the reader to see how narrow minded hate can cause great pain for all involved. I recommend this book for readers that enjoy fiction with heroes some losing and some winning. .
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The first four novellas are good stories but start out like a writer's first attempts at writing. They end at 60 percent and the rest of the novellas are about were humans and end with the last ten percent of of the book being about three individual shifter stories in the same town. All in all the stories got better as i read them. You will love the crazy dragons. Adult readers due sexual and violent content.
this is an amazing shifter boxed set, each book was wonderful full of well written characters that kept your attention, Alpha males, and the females who captured their hearts! this is a great value for your reading dollar!

Get all four North Peak Shifter’s stories, now in one box set. I have read all of them and I really enjoyed the books, especially the last two. It’s great to see how these people all come together and form a family in basically every aspect. The characters all have a unique personalities and the additions are like puzzle pieces, each piece is different, but they still fit together seamlessly.
This is a great box set. I read each of these and loved them all. Each book has it's own hot couple with a story to tell. It's great to have them in one place. If you like shifter stories , I think you'll enjoy this four book set. Highly recommend.
All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Strong women are locked in a battle between their dark last and a much brighter future. Can they fight the past? Can they find a strong man who can help them with what they need? Follow them and see how they will get on
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great series about sexy shifters who find their mates. Each of the shifters feel they are too dangerous to have a mate and fear hurting them at night when they change. Quite a different way of portraying shifters but I enjoyed them all. Well-written storylines, strong independent characters and fun loving dialogue make this a series not to be missed.
I really liked these books! I did however have a problem with the fact that it apparently had not been proof-read for mistakes. I had to "fix" lines in it in order for it to READ right in my mind. This should not happen and therefore I will not be purchasing anymore from this Author. Sorry Haley. ...fix the problems please.
Well I loved these book's the story line was good, funny, sad, and frustrating, the men "Bear's" we're in such circumstances that it was lovely,I think I was hooked on the stories of brothers and friends i didn't want it to finish. I gave these book's five big stars if you love shifter books then this a must read. Thank you Haley Weir . Sallyann xxx.
Controlling their beasts and saving their species....
Stories of shifters finding their mates, saving their species and learning to live amongst humans. Fighting against the evil and prejudices in the world against people who believe that if someone is different, they don't deserve rights or freedom.
Really loved each storyline and of course each HEA! A couple stories seemed too short, or not developed enough, I guess you could say. But I still enjoyed the whole series alot. I really liked each character and the beautiful setting that surrounded them. Definitely a good shifter series. Although, there were a Lot of typos in each book, I still recommend it!
DNF - I got 4% into the box set and just stopped. I just couldn't get into it. I felt like the writing was very choppy and the character names were used way too much. It was like every other sentence had her name. While I know that I am exaggerating, I'm not exaggerating by much. The series just isn't for me.
A great series but I wish they were a little longer. Some of the stories seemed a little rushed at the ends. But I enjoyed all of them. Who doesn't love hot and sexy wolves. I also like that the couples all had different types of relationships. Plenty of hot sex too.
A well-written set of four books that I enjoyed reading each book connects with the one before bu,t they are each their own separate story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
