His compositions were chosen by two nations as national anthems: India's Jana Gana Mana and Bangladesh's Amar Shonar Bangla.

Tagore’s writing never fails to strike a chord in one’s heart. It’s one of those pieces, just a small skit, yet it leaves a lasting impact.

This uncomplicated and straightforward drama is also related to the fairy story in Amal’s love for the far-away. As such Gaffar has a suitable place in the play. The Post Office is one of the most faultless plays of Rabindranath Tagore.

May 18, 2024কেমন লাগবে যদি কোনোদিন জানতে পারেন বহুদিনের জন্য আপনাকে কোনো বদ্ধ ঘরে বন্দী হয়ে রইতে হবে? ভেবেছেন কখনো? নিঃসঙ্গ অবস্থায়, মূঢ়-স্থির হয়ে, আলো-বাতাস থেকে দূরে থাকার ভয়াবহতা কত কল্পনা করতে পারেন?
ঠিক এমন এক পরিস্থিতেই পরেছিল ৬/৭ বছরের খোকা অমল। মুক্ত হওয়ার গভীর আগ্রহ, এই সরল বালকটির মধ্যে কি অপরিসীম পরিমাণে আছে জানলে অবাক হতে হয়। দৈনন্দিন কাজ আর ব্যস্ততার মাঝে আমাদের জীবনকে ডুবিয়ে রেখে জীবনকে যে অদৃশ্য বেড়াজালে আমরা আটকে ফেলেছি আমরা, এই বোকা-সোকা বালক কি অদ্ভুত মমতায় সেটাকে ছিন্ন করেছে। আর-
"ভেঙে মোর ঘরের চাবি,নিয়ে যাবি কে আমারে?"
কিংবা
"কোথাও আমার হারিয়ে যাওয়ার নেই মানা...."
এই গানগুলোর প্রেক্ষাপট যে কত গভীর জেনে আশ্চর্য না হয়ে পারবেন না- সেই নিশ্চয়তা দিচ্ছি।

This is the most popular play by Tagore..this book is a gem.
