Sorry to See This Wrap Up
This issue 7 wraps up the arc on what Image Comics calls "Storyline A". On the one hand this is bad, because I hate to see it end. On the other hand this is good because it suggests there will be a "Storyline B".
The ending is quite satisfying. At the end of Issue 6 the universe and all of the characters had been dissolved into their constituent nothingness and we were left with Void. Since this Issue 7 is longer than one all black page you may correctly assume that something happens to reawaken the story and the characters and to bring the story to a better conclusion than just an eternal void.
Indeed, there a couple of big finishes and some nice high drama before the happy fade. The writing remains clever, the storyline doesn't just peter out, some questions are answered and some loose threads are tied up. The dialogue is witty and there are some amusing twists and turns.
This was a fun series, well ended.
