A Lesbian Gender Swap Romance

Tom McCallister has been in love with his best friend Lyla for as long as he can remember, but what would be the point of telling her that? He's known that it's hopeless ever since she came out to him as a lesbian during their freshman year of college. Lyla likes women, and Tom is definitely not a woman.
But when Tom loses both his job and his girlfriend on the same day, Lyla is still the first person he turns to for support. She tells him to drop everything and fly out to see her in New York, confident that some friend time is exactly what he needs to get through his slump. On the plane ride over, Tom confesses his love for Lyla to a mysterious woman, takes a nap, and then wakes up in New York with some very surprising changes! He's been somehow transformed into a jaw-droppingly beautiful woman--a "megahottie," as Lyla would say. Tom has no idea what's going on and texts Lyla in a panic!
Fortunately, Lyla is there just like always to help him out. But now that Tom is a woman, their whole dynamic has changed. Sparks fly between the two best friends almost immediately, and Tom realizes that as "Jess," he might finally be able to explore his real feelings for Lyla. Is it worth risking everything for a happily ever after?

I loved it! 💫💖💖💖💫 A sweet romantic LGBT Cinderella tale that I didn’t want to end. Definitely will try more from this author. 🌟

Trigger warning: Gender dysphoria
As someone who has struggled with gender dysphoria since birth I went into this book with my defenses up. Thankfully Alyson Belle does a good job of approaching the material with tact and respect for her audience. Gender swap stories have always been a guilty pleasure for me because my real life can often feel like one (thankfully transitioning has made things more normal). That being said to some trans people they are very problematic. What is special about Becoming Hers is that there is a surprise at the end which I thought was really fun. Lets just say this: Tom didn't know himself very well.
I'll do my best to avoid spoilers but I had two issues with Becoming Hers. Number one was that the story was far too short and could have easily been twice as long or more. It would have been so much fun to deep dive into Jess' transformation. Number two was that (likely due to lack of time) we spend so much time focused on Lyla and Jess having a 'beat-around-the-bush' romance that Jess comes off completely shallow when it comes to her character development. As I mentioned before the character seemed strangely unaware of themselves beyond the fact that she really, really loved Lyla.
I would say give this one a shot. At 111-pages or 2 hours and 9 minutes for audio it's a quick read. I may have to check out Alyson's other stories and perhaps let my guard down a bit more the next time.

Not bad, but couldn't really keep my attention.
Tom is in a bad way. Fired, dumped by his girlfriend and perpetually in unrequited-love with his lesbian best friend. Having spent days in a deep funk, he is invited to his best friend and receive some much needed support... On the flight over however he ends up confiding his troubles to a compete stranger. After falling asleep however the strangest thing happens as he wakes up as a woman!
Overall this is a fairly simple gender-swap romance novel with a pinch of fantasy thrown in. It was cute, and competently written, but along the way it could not quite hold my attention. Even magically changed, Tom is a bit of a downer which kept me from really connecting with him/her.
So in the end not a bad novella, but nothing spectacular either.

I really enjoyed this erotica short story. Our main character Tom is a man who has always felt off in the world. When he meets a strange woman on a plane his life is changed. Tom is magically changed into a woman. I really enjoyed how this story discussed sexism and how women are treated differently than men in society. Tom also discusses how she doesn't feel like a real woman when she is Jess. I liked this part of the story as it is an experiences many transgender woman can relate to. I liked the two main characters and their relationship to each other. Highly recommended to fans of friends to lovers and magic.

Es la primera vez que leo a esta autora, y me ha gustado su estilo. El puntaje no es porque sea malo el libro, de hecho me ha gustado mucho. Pero son 80 páginas aproximadamente y no quiero darle mucha calificación si se entiende 😅

Powiem tak spodziewałem się sexu po pierwszych pięciu sekundach i się pozytywnie zawiodłem bo jest to z początku smutna a z czasem wzruszająca i słodka historia. Proszę nie pytać jak to wpadło w moje lepkie łapki.
