“Sounds like fun,” Anakin said with a grin.
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes. “You worry me sometimes.”
“Only sometimes?” Anakin said as another hologram formed. “I’ll try harder.”

Really great book! I read this book with my siblings and we voted on each decision. We decided to choose the option that we thought would get him in the most trouble.😄 eventually we got him stuck in a pipe with no way out! The book ended after that!🤣

we had lots of fun trying to figure out what would be best for the story and what would Anakin do? those are sometimes mutually exclusive
this is some crazy training the Jedi do but I do love the theater

I loved Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid, so I was intrigued to see a Star Wars version of the same idea. I only have access to Kindle books right now, and unfortunately Kindle got rid of the button that went back to your previous location, which makes it really difficult to navigate in books. But regardless of the tech problems, this seemed like a pretty fun middle grade book if you could get it in hard copy to make all the flipping easier.

Obi Wan and Anakin are sent on a dangerous mission by the Jedi Council and the reader must think quickly to help the Jedi Master and his Padawan.

Scott's "Choose Your Destiny" books are very fun, fiendishly difficult and work really well on a Kindle.

The ‘Choose Your Adventure’ books are something that I’ve typically avoided. Even as a kid, they never really appealed. However, the previous two Star Wars ones have been really good, and I’m pleased to say that ‘An Obi-Wan and Anakin Adventure’ was no different at all! There is so much that I love about this, but I’m going to start with the one I’m most excited about. BANT! BANT IS BACK! If you follow my posts, then you’ll know I just recently read the ‘Jedi Apprentice’ series. Bant was one of Obi-Wan’s friends as a young man, and it’s exciting to see her recanonised!! It’s a really fun attention to canon too - I love the inclusion of temple guards! I won’t go into the plot of this heaps, mainly because I think you should give it a go - but let’s just say that my biggest gripe with the story did resolve itself in a twist. It was a fun and interesting conclusion that I didn’t really expect! You really did have to think like Obi-Wan and Anakin in this story, as doing as they would was the only route to the conclusion. I’m not sure if there should be multiple conclusions or not with good endings, but there being one ‘proper’ ending does make it clear what is canon. I love everything about this book, and I wish they did some versions aimed at older readers. I do enjoy how many different types of stories they can tell now, and these stories are all that much better for it! I’d also say that the art in this book is really great too - and there’s a lot of it! I’d give this read a 4/5.

So a choose-your-own-adventure book is canon! I know that some of the Legends choose-your-own-adventure books had interesting endings. Like one where you’re a stormtrooper who facilitates the execution of Leia and Luke and the guilt haunts you like a stone on your chest. Yikes. Like most books of this type, it’s less choosing your path, and more getting on the rails of the right choices; the illusion of choice. In the first half, there’s a trick to knowing which is the “correct” choice, stemming from Anakin’s character. It’s a fun enough exercise. The best element is the Obi-Wan/Anakin banter.

"Not bad. Although I worry about you developing a god complex," Obi-Wan said.
"I'm not
that scary," Anakin said, grinning. "Not if you stay on my good side."

I loved these as a kid, choosing your way through the book - but here it felt odd. I tried to pick foolish decisions for Anakin and most often times it didn't punish him but rather paid off! I'm not sure what the author was trying to mean by this, but I came away from the book annoyed at Anakin more than supporting him.

The big 'twist' at the end was predictable but also out of character. Why would the Jedi order test in such a way and cause property damage while promoting the worst behaviour of Anakin? I understand that perhaps it's supposed to be exciting for younger readers, but it did feel very non-Jedi like.

I grabbed this book because as a kid I would the choose your destiny Goosebumps books and loved them. So that plus Star wars much less Anakin and Obi-Wan...I mean of course I grabbed it when I saw it at my favorite used book store.

For a long time I chose nearly every wrong path that ended with "Can you help Anakin and Obi-Wan make better decisions?"

Clearly I cannot.

I read every single path until I finished the entire book. The ending makes total sense once you get there. I will not spoil it.

I enjoyed it!
I would give a 4.5 if I could.

Finished this last one in the series with my 6 year old a couple nights ago. I think there are 4 of these total that I’ve seen. Of those, I think this one was the most enjoyable, mostly because Obi-Wan and Anakin are always entertaining together. It’s fun to read these style of books again, though I remember the old “Choose Your Own Adventure” stories from my day having a lot more endings that resulted in death. 😆 None of them are very substantial stories but it’s enjoyable nonetheless.

Really entertaining, it totally feels like a The Clone Wars episode.
On another note, I liked the format of telling the story this way, but I feel like it has the potential to tell something way more complex. The decision-making feels super limited, and there is only one real ending. If the choices had a bigger impact that lasted more than just a few pages or actually changed the story in a big way, it would be way more interesting.

This was so much fun, like the other volumes before it. It was fun to see Obi-Wan and Anakin together in a new a story. There are some very nice guest stars in this book as well as some gorgeous art by Elsa Charretier. Scott really captures the energy of both the characters in his writing, especially Ankin's hot hotheadedness. A really fun read

I enjoyed the book and I thought it was clever to keep children entertain but the reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars is because it sends you all around the place and it is hard to keep track of. But over all its pretty good another addition to the star wars universe and if there was similar books like this one I would keep on exploring the Galaxy far far away.

This is cute. I do like the fact that you have to make choices that Anakin would make, which is usually the opposite of the choice that seems "correct". I didn't like it quite as much as others in the series, but I'm sure the actual target audience will enjoy it just fine.

This wasn’t really designed as a true “choose your own adventure” so much as a “find 50 different wrong choices that end the narrative instantly, but please try again”. Very annoying story and set up for a choose your destiny book.

On my first go, I purposely made a bad choice and it ended right away 😂 It’s okay I tried again afterwards. All around fun little book especially with the banter we get from Obi-wan and Anakin together.

So I know it's a kid's book, but it's on the list of canon Star Wars media I'm following, and it's also hilarious. Like 10/10 for the correct ending because it made me laugh out loud in a house full of sleeping family members. Cannot recommend doing a quick read of this enough.

The best of the Star Wars Choose your Destiny books. This is a fun adventure with the titular character in a time I think we haven't gotten enough of. It is cool to see what young Anakin was like as a padawan in the seven years between Episodes I and II.

Me han frustrado mucho algunos de los caminos porque eran todo callejones sin salida, en vez de diferentes opciones para diferentes finales. Pero oye, muy entretenido y cuqui ^^
