Growing up wasn't easy for Bruf. At ten years old he watched his parent's be murdered. From there, he spent time in foster care...and then in the care of his much older brother. Being with family should have been preferable to foster care, but when your brother is the leader of the largest White Supremacist group in the state, life can get pretty confusing...and dangerous, especially for a teenager who falls in love with a mixed-race girl. His brother made that relationship impossible, so Bruf escaped as quickly as he could to the security of the United States Army. At home on leave, Bruf encounters the wrath of his anti-government brother and his crew and that leads him to a new discovery...The Westside Skulls. It's been a decade since Bruf joined up with them and life has been good. But when circumstances dictate that Bruf reconnect with his brother, things begin to go sideways...and of course, falling in love with the club president's sister Sabrina didn't do him any favors either.
Sabrina left California to travel to Haiti with a group of doctor's who dedicate their time and skills to people in need. While believing in the cause, her motivation was more about putting distance between herself, and the man she was in love with. Sabrina wants Bruf, and she knows he wants her, but his loyalty to her brother is like a brick wall that she knows she can't penetrate...so she has to move on.
When she returns to California over a year later, an almost married woman with an explosive secret, things heat up in more ways than one.
Ride along with The Westside Skulls and see how this gruff, sexy, loyal, sergeant-at-arms fares in both love and war.
Book 3 in the Westside Skulls MC Series. This is a Standalone Romance Novel but characters from the previous novels, Wolf Prequel and Wolf 2, are in this story, and will appear in future books in the series. HEA and No cliffhanger. Intended for Mature Readers. * * * The Westside Skulls MC Series is about members of the MC club, their friends and associates. Each story, while focused around one main character, is not necessarily about a Westside Skulls club member, but the story is related to Skulls members and the club.
I'm really liking these stories, but a bit better research on the bikes would help. For example, a drag bike is very fast in a straight line, but does not ever race on a track with turns.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I so love these biker books I must say and Jessie Cooke's especially. I got attached to this group during the two Wolf books so I was ready for Bruf and Savannah though I must say she made a few surprising life choices in between that I did not see coming at all. Following these two as they try to fix each of their issues and still end up together was fascinating as the story keeps you hooked from page to page. If you are in the mood for a great MC romance novel then look no further then this one. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Bruf knows what a hard life is. His parents are dead and his brother is one crazy sucker. He finds the club and with it he finds a family. His only regret is Sabrina. Why did he let her go without a word? When he see her again, all bets are off. It’s time to make her his. Sabrina is excited to visit her brother but scared to see Bruf. She has a lot of explaining to do and she doesn’t know how either of them will take it. Can Bruf and Sabrina finally be together or will her secrets keep them apart? Awesome read with an explosive storyline
~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
WOW! What can I say about this book, such an amazing story. When reading MC books I tend to find that the woman is the one with the struggle to with fitting in with men's Club lifestyle but in this book it was like Sabrina took to this lifestyle with no problems. Bruf was the one who struggled between family and blood family. This story takes you on the ups and downs of Bruf's struggle to not only find a balance between his blood and his brothers, but with Sabrina back in the picture things get more complicated than he could ever imagine. I love these characters and I truly love this series. I can't wait to read Ash's story next. This definitely a not to missed series!!!
First off I have to admit that I skips the second Wolf book and went straight to Bruf. I just really liked Sabrina a little bit more than Wolf and I really wanted to see how things were going to turn out between her and Bruf so I skipped ahead. Sabrina is home from Haiti, and oh my goodness have things changed for her. I mean seriously it couldn’t be any more night and day between the prequel and this book. She’s moved across the country to Florida. She’s engaged. She has a new best friend. And oh did I mention she’s pregnant. (Not really a spoiler since it comes out like almost immediately). She’s headed back to Cali for Wolf’s birthday and that’s when everything kind of comes to a head. It’s clear she still has feelings for Bruf, but her life is so much different now. I still liked Sabrina as I read this book but not the way I did before. The people she’s let into her life are super manipulative and it seems like she is aware of this and goes along with it anyways. I also kind of felt like her storyline wasn’t super developed. I mean she goes to see Wolf, reconnects with Bruf and then goes back to Florida. This book is very much more centered on Bruf and I felt like that sucked for Sabrina’s character. Bruf’s storyline is more interesting. She’s still a really likable character. He still clearly has feelings for Sabrina. But his life is messed up right now, he seems to always be in between a rock and a hard place. You really get a chance to see his background in this book, he was mostly raised by his brother who took the tragedy of their parents murder and turned it into a calling to become a white supremacist. It’s easy to understand why Bruf would have walked away from that world. Especially because Bruf doesn’t have any issue with people based on race. But when the FBI comes calling he doesn’t have much of a choice to go back into the world he hates, and above all else all e wants is to keep his club and Sabrina safe from whatever is coming their way. I really felt like Bruf was a solid character in this book, his story is definitely interesting. My biggest issue with this book was the lack of real connection between Bruf and Sabrina. Sure you knew going in they had feelings for each other but they spend almost no time together during the course of the book. And to be honest there were more than a couple of spots within the book itself when I was a little bit bored. That being said I will probably read Smoke’s story if the author puts one out, he’s honestly the most interesting to me.
Stop everything because my favorite MC author has a new book... Hell yeah... I'm on cloud nine... So happy and anxious at the same time... Wanna know why? Because this lady is the bomb and the way this series started I know what I'll find... Jessie Cooke is amazing and her books show just that. Her writing is hot and wild, sassy, forbidden and dangerous. And let's not forget the got stuff... Just get ready. Bruf is her latest release and it's the third book from the Westside Skulls MC series and I can assure you that you'll lose your mind with this... But I need to tell you something first, these books aren't standalone so you must read the first two books. This book tells the stories of Bruf and Sabrina. Bruf saw the unthinkable. He witnesses his parents being murdered and that left its marks. He spent some time on foster care and then went to live with his older brother but being in the middle of a dangerous group can't be easy. When he started to have feelings for a mixed-race girl his brother had done everything to break them up so the only thing he could do was to get into the army. Things happen that will make him join the Westside Skulls and... Sabrina left her town to follow her dream with a group of doctors in Haiti. She left to try to forget Bruf because she knew that he wouldn't give her a chance. Now, 1 year later she's back in town and... Dear lord... Have mercy on me because I'm almost insane... I loved this book so freaking much that I can't possibly describe how. The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and intense. Each scene was described in every tiny detail and that made me feel like o was inside the book with them. Every MC story is different but this author knows what she's doing. Each book complements each other and it was amazing to keep having news from the main characters as well as knowing new ones. Drama, crime, madness, betrayal are very present in this book as well as love, second chances, loyalty, and family. Was topic was what made this book so good. Jessie... You're trying to kill me right? This boom was amazing and I can't wait to start Ash... I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So this book is the third book in this series and it follows Bruf and Sabrina. Though this book can be read as a stand alone. I would highly suggest at least reading the first book in this series so you could understand these characters relationships.
Ummm lets start with Bruf..... Now I'm actually thinking his name was actually Bruf and that wasn't a road name. Because there wasn't any mention of another name. Bruf hasn't exactily had the easiest life: first his parents were a bit strang and parnoid, than he watched his parents get murdered, he has an older brother who leads a whilte supremacist group. But he found a place for himself with the Skulls though he hasn't exactly been honest with them. Look I've liked Bruf since the beginning of the Westside Skulls series. I think he's a good guy that was handed a sh*ty hand in the family department.
Sabrina..... Sabrina.... Oh Sabrina.... I'm honestly not sure on Sabrina. We meet Sabrina back in the first book of Wolf's when she first meets her brother Wolf. Than she basically takes off for a year for a good cause, but also because her brother basically pushes her to do it to keep her away from Bruf. I just honestly have mixed feelings about her, at times I would really like her. At others I found her to be stuck up, judgemental, whiney, and a bit egotistical.
Look I had been excited about this book. But I find myself having mixed feelings about it. I don't always find the need to stick two characters in a book together, just because one character is either a sister or brother of another character in a book or series. And I kind of feel like authors are always doing that nowadays, oh this person is this person's best friend so I better stick them with their brother or sister. I guess I just didn't really feel a connection between Bruf and Sabrina. Other than that this book of course will take you on a wild ride.
I'm giving this book 3.5 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
I know that it didn't take long for this book to come out, but after reading all about Wolf, with Sabrina mixed in, it felt like it took forever before I got this story. And holy hell, was it a doozie with Bruf! Sabrina caught feelings for Bruf almost the instant she met him, but because of her older brother Wolf, Bruf was warned off of her, so she took off to suffer in Haiti, where she met the man that she decided she was going to marry. However, she never got over Bruf, so when she went back to visit Wolf for his birthday, she came face to face with him again. And finally, Bruf decided that he was going to make her his no matter what, but his life was way complicated, so they had to put their newness on hold again, plus there were some other serious complications coming into play, so will Bruf and Sabrina ever get a change at something amazing? This story was so full of twists aka complications, that I swear that all I could do was drop serious f-bombs. That's not to say that the chemistry wasn't off the charts because when sexy times finally happened, they lit the sheets up! But all those complications really made this story more of an edge of my seat sort of suspenseful story that had the blood pressure up! And the Westside Skulls MC made up the colorful cast of secondaries which added to the story in big ways. I want to just go into so much detail as the brilliant Jessie Cooke took me on another exciting ride, but I won't be providing any spoiler douchery, so I'll end with stating that I'm already impatiently waiting on the next addictive story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I REALLY enjoyed this book!! I am a huge fan of Jessie Cooke's books I love how all her characters draw you in and grip you from the start!! Bruf is the 3rd book in her Westside Skulls MC and I do recommend reading Wolf 1st to really understand the characters and relationships but it can be read as a standalone!! Bruf has had a very rough life. Both of his parents were killed when he was 10 years old and he was the only witness!! His older brother is just plain NUTS so when he ends up with custody of Bruf his life does not get any better!! Sabrina is Wolf's younger sister and completely off limits to Bruf!! To keep them apart Wolf convinces her to leave for a year to work with Doctors Without Borders!! I am not giving away any spoilers as I really do believe that you need to read the book for yourself!! That being said I will say that this book was way more suspenseful then the other books!! I was gripped right from the beginning to the end and finished it in one sitting!! There are some really graphic scenes and I enjoyed every minute of it as it really brings the characters and there relationships together!! There are twists and turns and even when they are together again they are keeping secrets from each other that can break the tentative string they are holding on to!! There are complications and at some points it caused me to let some serious f-bombs drop!! There is a ton of chemistry and some hot sex scenes!! All in all it is one hell of a wild ride and a definite 5 star read!! Honestly each book gets better and better and I can't wait for the next book in the series!!
To say that Bruf had a difficult upbringing would be a serious understatement. As if witnessing the murder of his parents wasn't tragic and scarring enough, his white supremacist brother vows to wage war, not just on those that killed his parents but also on anyone that doesn't an aryan profile.
Joining the Army to get away from his brother almost cost him his life but he's since found his place among the Westside Skulls and has kept his family secrets for over a decade. As the club enforcer, he goes to great lengths to keep Wolf, his president and best friend, alive. A decision to save Wolf requires that he make contact with his long lost brother and just like before, it gets complicated.
As Bruf deals with the realities of his family life, Wolf's family starts messing with Bruf's head, too, well at least, his heart. Protecting his Pres meant walking away from a budding relationship with Wolf's little sister but he's not sure he can walk away anymore, especially when the threats hit Sabrina's doorstep.
I love this book, Bruf is awesome! I love the gentle giant with the wounded paw routine here. He's gruff, surly, overprotective but also sweet. Sabrina is fabulous and holds her own against this rough and tumble group of bikers. I hated how manipulative her "best friends" were and hated them early on but enjoyed seeing her really come into her own, especially with the club. The men of the club might be outlaws but they are good men. Great read!
Bruf had been dealt with a bad hand in life. As a child he watched his parents being murdered. He disassociated himself from his brother who is the general of the White Owls Supremacy Brotherhood. Joining the Westside Skulls MC saved his life.
The one woman who stole his heart, he sent away.
Sabrina left on a mission to Haiti with doctors. She befriended Melanie who became her best friend. After returning to the states she longed to see her brother Wolf and share some news but was scared to face Bruf.
Bruf is shocked when Sabrina comes storming back into his life. He's ready to make her his. Their chemistry is as explosive as the fourth of July. The steamy scenes will sizzle the pages of your kindle. Will her secret destroy them?
When Bruf's past comes back to haunt him, he has to make a life decision. Join forces with his brother of the White Owls? Or join forces with the FBI? Or stay loyal to his brothers? Will he lose Sabrina?
There is a spy within the clubhouse. Who is wanting to bring down the Westside Skulls?
Jessie Cooke has written an incredible story that will keep you on the edge of your seat as unexpected twists are in every corner. You feel the emotions of the characters. Her creative writing style will keep you intrigued from the first page of her books til the end.
The Westside Skulls are a spinoff of the Southside Skulls. Although you don’t have to read those I personally would suggest that you do. You certainly don’t want to miss out on meeting all that is Dax, plus this will give you a feel for the mentality that goes with their biker lifestyle. This story also introduces you to many of the characters in ‘The Best Of The Bad Boys’ series the author also wrote. They intrigued me enough that I had to put that series on the TBR list.
Bruf is a force to be reckoned with, it is the best way to describe his character. He lives the life and walks the walk of a warrior who has been raised to be the fiercest soldier he can be. His past is tragic. That is putting it mildly and very tame considering how he was raised and by who. There are so many facets to this story I’m not even going to try and list them. I highly recommend reading and doing so from the start. I suppose it is written to be standalone, but truthfully I think you as the reader would end up with more loopholes than understandings.
Mystery, suspense, intrigue, dirty talk, hot sex, love and compassion, all that plus some MMA fights. Now, what do all of these things have in common with an MC? I guess you will have to read it to find out. Oh, did I forget to mention revenge? Happy Reading!
This is the 3rd book in this brilliant series and after seeing Bruf in Wolf's book I was really looking forward to reading his story. The fact that he was in love with his President's sister meant it was going to be quite the read.
Bruf has been warned away from Wolf's sister which was fine when she was away for the last year but now shes back and he is unable to walk away from her anymore.
I don't want to say too much as it will give away the simply brilliant twists and turns Jessie is renowned for bringing to her books. She keeps you completely hooked with her flawless writing, her emotion she packs into her words, and the drama, passion and violence that you live about MC books.
After the sneak peak at the end I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series Ash's story.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the author and Enticing Journey Book Promotions
Bruf is a story which has it all, the usual MC punch and more as a heavy dose of racism is added to the mix when Bruf reveals his brother is the leader of a large White Supremacist group. And how his teenage relationship with a mixed-race girl ended his relationship with his brother. Bruf has now been with the Westside Skulls for ten years, things have been good until he meets his club president’s sister Sabrina....he falls in love, he wants her desperately, but Wolf says she’s off limits! Sabrina wants Bruf, but he’s loyal to her brother and the Westside Skulls and would never break club rules and break his word to his president and date her. Their love story is intense and many sensitive issues are covered in this unique story. Bruf and Sabrina have along journey ahead of them in this unique story. But will their love conquer all, is there a HEA for Bruf and Sabrina? Read Bruf to find out, it’s an excellent story, I loved it!
Oh secrets, secrets and more secrets. I knew that this book was going to be good and boy was I right. I have been looking forward to Bruf & Sabrina's story since the first Wolf book and the anticipation has been killing me but it was so worth it. I never expected the twists and turns this book was going to take. Never expected Sabrina to be where she is in life. This book was just full of the unexpected and I absolutely loved it!!!
The story line was intriguing. It kept me on my toes with the way it all played out. It seemed like there was always something around the corner waiting to come out and make Bruf and Sabrina finding happiness harder. You will absolutely love this book and the characters, plus there are some that you will wish were in hell. The past isn't done knocking on these characters door and those in the present aren't making life any easier as well.
Jessie Cooke is fast becoming on of my favorite authors and I can't wait to see what is next.
Though this book can be read as a standalone, IMO the story gets better if you read the previous two because some loose ends was tied up in this one. I loved to get to know Bruf and Sabrina better, and to see Wolf and Blair more. I also loved to know a little more some of the other MC guys - especially a quiet one who was a little talkative and who has my full atention every time that he shows up.
Since I read Wolf Prequel, I was curious and waiting this book. Now I have to say that it was the better until now in this series. It's not that I didn't liked the previous books, because I did. But Bruf and Sabrina's story was all that I expected and all that I love in an MC book - the perfect mix of action, tension, hot scenes and a sweet and romantic end plus a cute epilogue. Can't wait for more!
This is the 3rd book in this awesome series, and is Bruf and Sabrina’s story. Sabrina is Wolf’s long lost younger sister, and when he noticed that she and Bruf were attracted to each other, he warned them both off each other. Now a year later, Sabrina needs to get away from her life, and decides to go and see Wolf for his birthday as a surprise. When Sabrina and Bruf catch sight of each other the attraction is intense as it always was, and he is determined not to let her get away this time. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is another well written and flawless story, which is emotional, and with twists and secrets, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and highly recommend her work for all MC lovers out there!
Wolf was just being the big brother of his long-lost sister and warning her away from Bruf. Sabrina didn’t know why her brother was so against her dating and having a relationship with Bruf. Sabrina has an awesome opportunity to further her education and go with Doctors without Borders into Haiti as a nursing student. All she wanted was for Bruf to say not go, but he didn’t he kept his mouth shut and told her to have a good life. So she moved on, or thought she did.
Bruf knew he was no good for Sabrina and when Wolf warned him away it wasn’t so hard for him to abide by his rules. But when Sabrina comes back all bets are off. They both are keeping secrets from each other that could destroy their fledgling relationship. Will they get all of their secrets sorted out and finally be able to be together. What will Wolf, Bruf’s President say about the relationship? I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!!
Bruf, who is Wolf's friend and enforcer of the Westside Skulls, has a fine line to walk. He is interested in Wolf's newly found half-sister, Sabrina, whom Wolf forbade him to pursue. Bruf is trying to leave his past in the past yet revenge is on his mind with the death of his hippie parents at the hands of thieves when he was ten years old. On top of that he has an older brother who is the leader of a group of NeoNazis the FBI wants to prosecute. Plus Bruf also has to figure out who is the mole in his MC Club that is putting his brothers' safety on the line. Can he accomplish all things without getting caught in the middle of all the chaos? Great plot line, good characters. Just another good book in this series.
Bruf needed to get away for a little bit so he went to see his brother. Who is radical racist who is the leader of a community that all think alike. On his way back to the club he is stopped by the cops and the FBI. Someone that knew his in the army is trying to get him to turn against his brother so they can take him down. But he first needs to get Sabrina out of town and talk to wolf because they have someone leaking information to the feds. But what they find is this person is giving info to wolf’s ex wife and she giving information the feds to try to bring down wolf. She also leaks information to the people that Sabrina is being a surrogate for. So it’s all come to a head. So enjoy this good read and see what happens!!
Sabrina caught feelings for Bruf almost the instant she met him, but because of her older brother Wolf, Bruf was warned off of her, so she took off to suffer in Haiti, where she met the man that she decided she was going to marry. However, she never got over Bruf, so when she went back to visit Wolf for his birthday, she came face to face with him again. And finally, Bruf decided that he was going to make her his no matter what, but his life was way complicated, so they had to put their newness on hold again, plus there were some other serious complications coming into play. This story was so full of twists and turns, but in the end they get their happily ever after.
Bruf fell for Wolf's sister but he pushed her away because his Prez didn't want him around her. A year later she is back, engaged and carrying her best friends husbands baby. Sabrina's whole relationship sounded like she just stupidly did what they asked of her instead of choosing what she really wanted. Her fiance' dumps her and she jumps right into bed with Bruf. He is trying to protect her from his racist brother and the FBI so he sends her back to wait until the coast is clear. Things are all over the place, but Amara finally gets what is coming to her but I still think she got off to easy from a MC.
Bruf knows what a hard life is. His parents are dead and his brother is one crazy sucker. He finds the club and with it he finds a family. His only regret is Sabrina. Why did he let her go without a word? When he see her again, all bets are off. It’s time to make her his. Sabrina is excited to visit her brother but scared to see Bruf. She has a lot of explaining to do and she doesn’t know how either of them will take it. Can Bruf and Sabrina finally be together or will her secrets keep them apart? Awesome read with an explosive storyline.
I chose this rating because this is a really great book. I enjoyed most of the characters. Blair and Bruf. This was a really great book. This was a book about family, compassion, kindness, revenge, and just overall trying to be a good person and doing the right thing. I really like the way the Blair and Bruf got together, they tried to stay away from each other especially Bruf. But he couldn't hold out any longer he had to have Blair. This was a really great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.
Jessie Cooke too, the heat up a notch with the book in this exciting series. The vibrant plot was loaded with more of everything this time around. I was instantly enthralled with Bruf and Sabrina and the compelling circumstances that they had to overcome to stay together. It was very intense and the author had me feeling like I was right there watching the drama unfold. This book was fantastic. I can't wait to read the next one. It's Ash. He's kind of a mystery that I can't wait to explore.
Well well well I've decided that I can't read anymore of Ms. Cooke's books not because she's a bad writer, in fact she writes very well she also has a fairly interesting bunch of storylines her male characters are strong interest men, but her females are written to be week of character, short of brains and so cliche that if it wasn't so sad it would be humorous. No I don't need the stress.
Oh wow! Love the complexity of this story. Love knowing more about Wolf and him handling things. Getting to know Bruf was wonderful. The author did a great job of this. You just had to fall in love with him. So very happy we got to know Sabrina more and glad she has turned out better than in Coyote’s story. This is one of the best books in this series. Can’t wait to move on to Ash. Please don’t stop writing about these characters.
This story was difficult at times to read due to the inexcusable hatred and racism from some of the characters. Of course, there were other heartbreaking and tearful moments, as well as love, laughter, and humor that makes these unexpected men and women a true family. It was a great story, and one that you won't want to miss. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and terrific author.
WOW... this one had a lot going on and I loved every minute of it. From Florida to California and back and forth. From engagements to pregnancies and don't forget the White Owls and no their not really owls. We get to see how someone who I couldn't stand finally get what they have coming to them. Revenge never tasted sweeter or so they say. Best thing is the love and willing to do anything to get and keep it.
