I was given this book for an honest review from Netgalley. Above is the link of my complete review on the Netgalley site.
Did you see the movie The Net with Sandra Bullock? Well this book was much like that movie without the actuon scenes, there was very little action..it was technilogical intrigue a race against time to outsmart the bad guys. David is a computer hacker sent to infiltrate a company and remove data ,and send data to another company site before a subsidiary is sold or ended that never was really quite clear. It is a fast moving book with really short chapters that lures you in to want to know more..but Davismd only lets you see minute dimension of what he truly is, and he reports back to Mother much like the God of the Matrix who doesnt seem to leave her fortress. It is a decent fast read but it leaves you wanting a sequel, more information. .like an episode of the Twilight zone. It leaves me wondering if the author abandoned this book because he was done with it ir he was frustrated with his world he had created that has trapped his main character. I give it 3 out of five stars.

To and fro to Dorsai

Reminded me several times on the hacking scenes from basic instinct. Well written and lots of tension. I would have loved to get more insight into the main character David Pearson though. Otherwise you can get the feeling the character itself is not important for the story. Nice to read anyway! Thanks!

It started out way beyond my comprehension! but I got there slowly and by the end of the story I understood I think the gist of the story and how hackers work and how its done!

I think that achieved a lot for a short story.

Enjoyable.
