This is the memoirs of the geisha, sex worker, and Japanese murderer Sada Abe, who killed her boyfriend in the 1930s by erotic asphyxiation. She then cut off his genitals and carried them in her bag for two weeks until she was caught by police and sentenced to five years in prison.

Sada Abe was a geisha and sex worker in Japan. She was one of eight children, she was sent to become a geisha by her mother in her teenage years. In her twenties, she murdered her boyfriend Kichizō Ishida by erotic asphyxiation in a love hotel, when she was arrested two weeks later she was sentenced to six years in prison.
After she got out of prison she wrote her memoir, which sold 100,000 copies in only two weeks, she gained superstar status and became well known as an actress in both films and on stage and become a champion for Japan's woman's rights movement. She would retreat from public life in the 1970s before dying in 1979.
