Darya can’t help it. She sees things other people don’t. It’s hard to protect a woman who won’t let her bodyguard go with her, but there could be a reason for that, and Slade is pretty sure what that reason is. His name is Nick, a scientist who works for Darya in Mexico City and persuades her to take a dangerous side trip with him to Guatemala. A Food and Drug Administration employee has been bribed to approve a drug. It’s not the first time he’s paid to get a drug on the market, even when tests show the drug kills people. So much for healing. Kidnapping and murder aren’t all that important to the drug manufacturer. Not when there’s money to be made. If you're in the mood for a page-turning short read suspense thriller with quirky characters and lots of action, don’t miss the first book in this serial. Free with Kindle Unlimited.
Black Dots, story about a pharmaceutical company who wants to put a new product out and a horrible pharmaceutical company who wants to stop her. Also about someone who see black dots on people who die! It was a little confusing at first, but after this second book, I getting into this series..
Very confusing at first - we have present day, then the past, then the distant past and then the past again with no explanation of this. Her parents to her to America to live in freedom and not have to make an arranged marriage. Now she has been kidnapped. What happened in Mexico? Why do large doses of her new treatment kill? Will they find the mole before her secrets are stolen? The plot was okay but I'm used to the author writing books that don't ensure midstream. Plus the characters were slightly non- descript. Not something I'll probably follow up on.
These Kelly Slade books keep getting worse and worse. It’s written in future, past, present, super future tense, super past past tense it’s hard to tell what is going on when. Also a big part of the previous book was the the main character going to India for 2 years. We learned that she went but have no clue on how it affected her life, did she stay the full two years, how/why did she and Slade get back together? Then it abruptly ends with a dinner invitation from another man. Major cliffhanger - Not. I want to like this series. The characters all have great possibility, but each book they get worse and worse. Sorry.
I really do want this to be a good series. I keep reading. Keep hoping they will get better. But now it’s like watching a train wreck....you know you should look away but you can’t help but watch. Darya should not be surprised at how awful Guatemala is coming from her back ground. She’s an highly educated, well traveled woman, but all of the sudden she’s clueless about third world medical practices? Horrible.
I just finished this 3 book series Black Dots which was the follow up to the Red Dot series. Enjoyable and entertaining, fast paced and quite interesting. I have never been disappointed with a book by Mrs. Harman. Highly recommend anything she writes.
I love every other books this author writes, but I really don't like this. I just find it a bit boring and long winded. It was really hard to get through this, pushing myself all the way. You should enjoy books that you read so the pages fly by.
The speed of action via the drama in the main characters kept me glued to my Kindle. This was the first Slade Kelly book I had read and now I am anxious to read the others.
Black Dots Book One by Dianne Harman It takes more than Book One to cover all the information that is listed in Amazon. It is a Suspense Series though. I immediately got Book Two when I finished Book One. It kept me intrigued and I recommend the series.
