Innovative guy. The history of Medtronic is interesting and Earl Bakken discusses some of the issues they had. However, I wish he spoke more about leadership and struggling with issues more. I think he has great leadership ideas (how to deal with "troublemakers") that really spoke to me.

Autobiography of the inventor of the wearable, battery-powered pacemaker. I read this book with a tear in my eye. He gave me back, in his words, “a full life” ❤️

I enjoy reading biographies of successful business men. This one is interesting on several accounts.
- In the beginning they didn't have a plan, and didn't know how it would turn out
- They stumbled into what they would ultimately do
- They got more serious about planning after almost going bankrupt
- Like so many successful business leaders, it cost him his marriage (he doesn't say a lot about that part)
- In the end he turns to a much more holistic style of healing as he retires in Hawaii.
