A well written short story of a group of survivors of a zombie Apocalypse, with an emotional theme of redemption. The ending fell a bit flat with me, although it could be because I'm all zombied out for now.

Really enjoyable short, and the first I have read from the author. I will be checking out their other works as this was a good introduction.

Very nicely done. Having read Death's Children was glad to find out more about happened to little Lucy. Can't wait to read more about her and the others in that series in Dangerous Nights. Knowing your place can be a matter of life and death in the new world. I received a free copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Awesome read

Little lucy all grown up. I remember meeting her when she was only 5yrs old!!! Wasn't big fan of the 30 year gap. Bad news is after that long zombies are still going strong and no end coming soon. Lucy character kick butt zombie killer.

Great short story

I really enjoyed this apocalypse novella. Slightly different setting to what you would expect. The flow of the story was fast paced and very well written. For a taste of Baileigh Higgins writing this is an excellent starting point.

Good quick read. Didn't dig in to a crazy amount of history, but it wasn't needed. I wish it was a full book though. It pulled me in and I wasn't ready for it to end.

This is a short story about Lucy, the youngest protagonist of the Death Children series. It's 30 years into the zompokalypse and Lucy is a hard, determined killing machine.
It was interesting to read this little excurse to a time 30 years after, with a glimpse of how humans do in world full of zombies (as they evolved and didn't rot away).
I hope we see more of it.

Edit: the story was extended with a proper ending - which disappointed me. I know that reaching retirement age in the zombie apocalypse isn't very realistic but surviving for 30 years and being super vigilant all the time and then not reaching your final destination... so sad.
