Braelyn
I'm nobody. Homeless, afraid of my own shadow and haunted by memories. I went through the motions, but I wasn't living. Until him. He made me live again. He became my everything. Until he came back. The man that caused me to live in my own personal hell for years.

Ethan
Brae is broken. She's haunted by memories. I saw the fire in her eyes flicker and it was enough. It consumed me. I was determined to see her thrive. I didn't expect to fall in love with her and that it would become everything. Nothing will stop me from protecting her. He will pay for her pain.

Having succeeded in finishing this book, I think I may have damaged my brain cells. So, sorry if my review doesn't make much sense :)

Well, first of all, the writing is amateurish, full of mistakes, clichés and WTF moments of ridiculousness... I guess nobody cared to edit this book because it sounds like the draft of something to be published (and the first draft, not the last!)

For example, the heroine Braelyn’s eye color is brown in one chapter, ocean blue in another and brown again later!

Phrases such as "laughing at her-his-their antics"/"taking what isn't his" --> repeated more than once. A little bit of a variety of language is required.

OK, let's leave the editing mistakes aside and focus on the ridiculous events!

* All the women in the book are either kidnapped or beaten or raped.

* All the bad men in the book either kidnap and abuse women, or beat their wives and/or their children. They sometimes stalk women and they either rape or attempt to rape them.

* All the good men in the book take one of these poor women under their arms and keep them safe in their houses. They are all handsome, hot, protective and fun. They have insta-love or lust with these women.

Caution !!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

If you want to read the book and torture yourself, be my guest or if you want to read a summary of it and laugh out loud, then uncover the spoilers :)

*********************************************

Just as I was waiting for an alien attack to one of these women, the book ended!!!

Ohhh no, it didn’t, then there is this epilogue which is first about 1 year later, then about 18 years later.

Oh please somebody save me. How can a 167-page book be soooo long?

description

I might have done a crappy work at reviewing this book because it played with all my reason and common sense and I don’t know if I made sense at all. So sorry... but I still put the blame on the never-ending events which made me dizzy!

*********************************************

So why 2 stars but not 1?

Well, Ethan was soooo sweet and the water wars were fun :))) Yes, I already told you that my brain cells were damaged!

P.S. I have more suitable title suggestions for the book:

* Rapists versus protectors

* The good, the bad and their women

* Never-ending rape attempts

* Never-ending coincidences

* The rape whisperer

* Mean stalkers vs hot cops

* Will you be my hero?

* Every woman needs a protector

I'll think of more and add later :)))))

4.75 'Perfect and Healing Love' Stars

Loving His Forever is an amazing story about emotional and physical healing, and the undeniable power of LOVE. How with the help, support, care and love of someone you can overcome anything.

We got our first glimpse into this couple and their story in Protecting His Forever and I was immediately drawn to them and curious about their tale.

Three years prior to the events in this book, something terrible happened to Braelyn. Her sexual assault not only stole the thing she was saving for her ‘one and only’, and stripped her away from everything, but coupled with her horrible childhood, it was her breaking point. She saw no hope for her future and ran away and lived on the streets, barely surviving from day to day.

Being broken inside, being empty, is a horrible feeling. Pity is something you can’t help but feel. I was raped. I hate that word. That word destroyed me. Took my innocence, my life, everything I worked hard for.

When her worst nightmare catches up with her, and she manages to barely escape, she sees no other way than to ask her best friend Sidney for help. What she didn’t expect was that this help comes in the form of the delicious cop, Ethan, Sidney’s brother.

A protector by nature, Ethan immediately comes to the rescue, ready for anything. That is, except being knocked on his ass by the very sight of Braelyn.

She nods and then smiles at me. And just like that, I’m a fucking goner.

And valiantly embraces this feeling. Braelyn becomes the center of his world, and her healing, emotional and physical, as well as her happiness and smile, become his life’s mission.

It was definitely not an easy battle, Brae had so many healing to do, and so many barriers to overcome, but Ethan was there for her, every second, always her rock, and never demanding or pushing for anything in return.

“Braelyn, you deserve so much more than the life you have been dealt. I see you. I see a strong-ass woman who has fought as hard as she can. I can see the fire in your eyes still in the depths, wanting to come out. What happened to you doesn’t define who you are. You can’t control what’s happened to you, no matter how much we want to.”

I loved both characters, so much, and Braelyn broke my heart with her pain and struggles, but she showed how strong we can arise even when we see no hope or future. But Ethan, WOW, he knocked it out of the park in the hero department. He was absolutely PERFECT!!! So much so that he was catapulted directly to my list of best book boyfriends. He had not one moment of hesitation and the way he treated Brae, like she was the most precious and unique thing in the world (for him, she was) completely stole my heart… Absolutely dreamy… Sigh…

The story is beautifully told, and it shows the incredible development of the characters. I truly felt what Brae and Ethan were feeling, and I cried, laughed and rejoice with every step they took into their relationship, and into an epic LOVE.

The secondary characters were just as amazing and the subplot gave us some extra spice in the story. My only wish, and hence the not full 5 stars, was that the action part was not so sudden, that the mistery, the villain discovery and side plot had not been so abruptly unveiled and solved, in the last chapter of the book. It felt a bit to fast, like something more was missing. But that is just a minor detail in all this wonderful story, and that epilogue was superb. I couldn’t be swooning more, because come on, I love an amazing HEA, and these two more than deserved it!

LeAnn Ashers created a brilliant story in this book, and considering it’s her second one, it proves her immense potential. With all the bits and teases we got from so many other interesting characters, I can’t wait for what comes next! I have no doubt that like this one, it will be a MUST READ!!!

Ethan has branded himself into my soul. When we’re apart, it feels like my heart is missing a part of itself. He owns the other half of it. The way he smiles, laughs, holds me at night protectively. He makes love to me like it’s his last day on earth.

"Loving stars"

This was a nice short reading....

Too many things were happening in a short amount of pages...

I liked it but it was OTT some times (if not all the time)...

Like in the first book "Protecting his Forever" and in this one too, I was pretty sure the author wanted to hurt really bad the heroine for some reason and have the hero run around like crazy to protect his woman...I mean disaster was following her around...

But I still liked it...

Am I weird...??? Is there something wrong with me..???

No, I'm not, because since I read the first one I knew how OTT the second would be so I have no regret. I don't mind the OTT but too many things were happening in a few pages....And I didn't like the language the kids in this book used in the epilogue, I mean they were like what eight or nine...

Until now I think I liked the first one better. But we'll see!

If you like a short book with OTT situations, a possessive alpha male and a fragile girl this one is for you! I think....;p

Enjoy! xxx

I loved this story from beginning to end. I love how the stories are intertwined and we see some of the same events in different books but from a different point of view. I don't really think that's an easy thing to do and have it work as well as Ms. Ashers does it.

Braelyn has had a tough life. Her home life growing up was less than bearable. All she wanted was to escape, go to college, and make something of herself. Her last night of school something unthinkable happens to her. She runs, leaving her best friend to wonder what happened to her. 3 years later she turns up on her best friend's doorstep at the end of her rope. In walks her best friend's brother Ethan, who will change her life in ways she never imagined possible.

Ethan sees Braelyn and wants to protect her. He is a police officer and brings her to stay at his house so that he can protect her. Slowly but surely he begins to break down her walls and gives her a sense of safety and security that she has never felt in her life. He is one of the most kind, generous, patient and loving Hs I've ever read about.

So I read a ton of books. I love an alpha male as much as the next girl. What I love about Ms. Asher's heroes is they are alpha to the core but they RESPECT their women with everything in them. They are protective without being suffocating. They are absolute dirty talkers which I love. Once they meet the woman for them, they never stray. They don't even notice other women around them. They are not manwhores and constantly thinking about their past with OW. Honestly, I don't even know Ethan's past as far as that goes and I don't need to. The love he has for Braelyn is so obvious on every page of this book. So kudos to this author for writing these unbelievable men.

I can't wait to get more of this group of friend's stories. I need Ms. Asher to please write faster lol. I will read every single one she puts out. I can't wait for the MC spinoff and the kids stories too.

☆☆☆☆☆ 5 Angel stars!!!!

Fantastic story!

Ethan and Braelyn are such a sweet, strong couple. I loved that once they got together, they stayed together. We didn't have the drama of ow/om.

Ethan is a smoking hot alpha police officer. He gets a call from his sister about a friend in need of help and upon meeting her friend, he's knocked on his ass. He knows that no matter he will do anything he has to do to keep her safe.

Braelyn, the poor girl, has been dealt a shitty hand. Not only did she grow up being abused, she is raped the one and only time she goes out with her friend Sydney (heroine from book 1) Devastated, she takes to the streets for years, hiding out from the man who raped her. One day he finds her and she runs back to the only person who cared about her, her friend Sydney.

--hot sweet alpha police officer
--vulnerable heroine
--zero pushing away (I was afraid after what she had been through, she would push Ethan away )
--no cheating or ow/om drama
--great seconday characters
--Great epilogue one year out and the 18 years out! I was so happy! That is the way it should be done!

I look forward to Jessica and Chase's story. I hope it is safe from cheating and ow/om like the first two books have been!

This was just what I needed after trying to find a book for what feels like ages!

The relationship between the H/h was just perfect. He is so protective of her as soon as they meet and I never once had to question his feelings. I loved how low-angst their relationship was. It was also super duper safe! No past hook ups from him show up, hell his past is never even mentioned which I appreciate a lot! I also can't wait to read more books from this author! Hoping they are as amazing as this one.

I took a star off cause there were a lot of tiny editing errors such as missing words and whatnot. Also, I would have loved to have more of the H's POV. It was there in the beginning but it felt like the author just forgot to write from his POV later on.

I liked the characters in the book and the romantic portion... Having someone constantly getting shot at, beat up etc just grated on my nerves. Don't worry it is all different people. IE the whole book was just throwing in a violent scene for the drama. I like my books to be a little more imaginative and flow easier. Overall ok read.

The only thing that really annoyed me was......

Loving His Forever was the second book in the Forever Series by LeAnn Ashers.

We met both Braelyn and Ethan in book one, Protecting His Forever. Ethan was Sydney’s sister and he was also a cop. Braelyn was Sydney’s college roommate that had disappeared right before their graduation. The storyline ran simultaneously with the first book. Braelyn explained her disappearance and sought help from Sydney. Ethan was struck immediately and wanted to not only help, but protect.

It was a quick read with tons of action. It also had the over the top drama that I’ve come to expect with Ashers books. The plot developed from rape and abuse and remained a focal point of the storyline, containing triggers for some.

I enjoyed the crossover with the MC’s. Since this was an earlier book, I enjoyed meeting the Devils Souls characters long before they paired off in their own books. It provided a great deal of perspective for the series and was an enjoyable touch.

Spoilers ahead!

I couldn't get into the story. From the beginning something didn't feel right. At the first scene I rolled my eyes. Heroine doesn't want to go to a party. Heroine's best friend must go, because if not, she will die. (Not really, but you could think so). Then the best friend guilt trips the heroine to attend a party. The heroine hasn't got the backbone to tell her friend NO. So what does she do? She chooses the shortest, tightest dress she has, paired with unbelievable high high-heels. To a frat party! OMG, really? And then make up and hair and and and. But she doesn't really want to go.

Next we're at the party. There are drunken college students. Heroine doesn't want to enter. But best friend is there and pushes her out of the car. Wow, thanks a lot!

This seems to be a popular scenario in many romance books that I've read. It's annoying and boring and really not creative at all. But that's just my opinion.

Then at the party we find out that the best friend has a stalker! And she fears that said stalker is attending the party. So they both look around in fear and WHAM.. Stalker is there. So best friend needs to escape (where? I didn't get it) and heroine is left alone. Then theres another creepy guy, he tinkers with her drink and... Yeah we all know how this is ending. Girl, don't leave your drink out of your sight.

So I've read on but then I had to end the book. The things that take place are unbelievable to me. I just don't get it, why she ran away after this incident and became homeless. All this because of the fear that one guy will find you again? And 2 years on the street? I don't believe it a second.

And then the guy finds her in a city in an alley? Come on, that's just... Don't believe it either.

Then she runs away and the bus that's about to pull out is the one she needs to get to her best friend. Yeah, all right. And then I got confused because there was a lot hopping from scene to scene, and then we got introduced to Ethan and so on and so on.

I just couldn't take this book seriously.

I'm sorry but no, just no. I DNF pretty quickly because of how completely over the top the "dark" subject matter was. There was no transition and even the attack that happens after the prologue was ridiculous. 3 years have passed in ch1 and not two seconds into the first page and she's already been found? It just came out of nowhere and was so over the top ridiculous I can't be bothered to continue. Felt a bit amateur to me.

We get Brea and Ethan's side of the story andd it was good and hawt and i believe we get hints of more secondary charas stories!!

Brea is dealing with the aftermath of her rape and living with Ethan and well a home since she's been homeless for 3 years.  Their relationship is so cute and once Ethan spots her thats his girl for life no others come between them, he'll also kill for her no man shall disrespect her also.

I also love how they took their time and jumped into bed together since she still was dealing with her rape..

My big question is.. how the heck did this guy find her?? She's been homeless for awhile so she has no cards, money, family so how he found her was wired??

I do wanna read Liam's story and Jessica!!!

Low angst, No ow drama/ some om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, sexy times, Drama, no virgins or manwhore

OMG! I am soo in love with Ethan & Braelyn! This is book 2 and the follow up book from Protecting His Forever. Braelyn has gone thru so much in her young life –and to have the worst happen. She ends up back in her best friend’s life and in that, her best friend big brother Ethan’s life. Ethan is like a force of nature and he is very protective of those he cares about. As soon as he lays eyes on Braelyn, he knows there is something about her he must protect forever. Ethan is very alpha in his behavior, so loving immediately and Braelyn doesn’t know how to take him when all the men in her past have been abusive, have been jerks, have been horrible yet Ethan makes her want to trust and open up. Ethan gives Brae the strength to fight the past, the emotional strength to go and take back what was taken from her forcefully by fighting those demons but it isn’t without a battle.
Oh the love story between these two is full of love, laughs, tears, some push/pull and just a beautiful dance between a great couple, Brae and Ethan. There is a fantastic supporting cast of characters which completely enhanced this story and made it even richer. I fell completely in love with this MC and was rooting for them all the way. I cried with Brae when she did because my heart bled for her and when she had such a breakthrough with Ethan, I was laughing in joy. What a range of emotions you will feel with this story. Ms. Ashers will have you enthralled from start to finish with Loving His Forever and wanting to read the next book, for the next couple you will know who it is and craving their book next. The passion and heat between Ethan and Brae is off the wall fantastic yet the writing about sensitive issues is done very well. All in All, one fantastic and exciting story well worth reading.

I really enjoyed this book. I read this book in one sitting and didn’t put it down once.
I have wanted to read Braelyn’s story since she made her entrance in Sydney’s story. Although the details aren’t mentioned, this story features a rape and an attempted rape, which may be a trigger for some readers, just a warning. I adored Ethan and Braelynn as a couple. The chemistry between them was clear to see. I liked that Braelynn had decided she wasn’t going to let fear beat her. Instead of giving up, she got a job helping abused women and children. I liked the bond Braelynn had with Liam. Despite the shock of finding out she had a brother, she took him in. I liked how protective he was of her and how he was quick to protect Paisley.
The story got to 96% and Braelyn’s attacker hadn’t got to her yet. I knew he wasn’t going to give up. It got to the point where I thought ‘’ oh, the attackers not going to strike again? Weird’’. Then the next page he appeared. I found that amusing but was also glad that the attacker got what was coming to him.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to read Chase and Jessica’s story. I need it now!

Beware of Spoilers!

Star Ratings:
Heroine (Braelyn): 2/5
Hero (Ethan): 3/5
Plot: 1/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: none
HEA: yes
Triggers: rape

Average score: 2/5

Best Line: nothing believable

Worst Line: too many to count

Personal Review:
Just didn’t like the h and the H was too domineering

Random Ramblings:
•I was a bit confused with the connection between the drugged drink to the homelessness
•Why call the police 3 years after the event??? Why not reach out to your friend when it happened??? Why are there so many plot holes???
•I know for a fact that victims of rape have trust issues so I think it’s highly unrealistic and naïve to believe that the h moves in the H on their first meeting AND lets him sleep with her

Overall Feeling:

Five Beautiful Stars! Braelyn has had to overcome many difficult things in her lifetime and she is slowly becoming stronger. Ethan is her best friend's brother and he makes her feel loved, protected, safe. Can Braelyn finally have the happiness she deserves with Ethan? This is an emotional story that will have you feeling happy and sad but there are also some very laughable moments. This is the second book by this author that I have read and Ms. Ashers did another amazing job with this story. Braelyn and Ethan were great together and there was depth to their characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am looking forward to her next book! I highly recommend!

Braelyn had one moment where her life changed in a way she could never get back. A couple of years later the man that destroyed it has found her and she has nowhere to turn except a friend she left behind. Seeking help she finds herself under the protection of Ethan who vows to keep her safe. Braelyn puts her full truth in Ethan and ends up losing her heart, but when the threat that had her running finds her can he keep her safe?

Great second book in the Forever series. I really liked Ethan and how he is so protective of Braelyn. Braelyn has a broken past that stems from childhood, she is a fighter who is used to being on her own but she is slowly learning to rely on others. Great read.

Braelyn and Ethan's story is just amazing. Braelyn has gone through so much and is still able to overcome and excel. Braelyn goes from living the dream to living on the street. When someone from her past confronts her, Braelyn goes to the one person she knows she can trust; Sydney. Sydney's brother Ethan immediately steps in to protect Braelyn. She gets moved to his house, under his protection and anyone else he trusts.

So many things happen in this story I don't want to give any away. If you want to read Loving His Forever, you should read Protecting His Forever first (Sydney's story). I can't wait for book 3!

Braelyn & Ethan's story is cute & sweet even though it's full of attacks. They have a lot of drama, but it's outside the relationship (she has a stalker...)(and a really horrible family). I re-read book 1 before diving into this one, which was good as a lot of it happens over the same time period, but also was a bit discombobulating as some things didn't quite match up. I was hoping there would be stories for the other couples mentioned, but it doesn't appear there are. However, the MC mentioned in the book does have its own series, so I may check those out!

Overall, I enjoyed the story! : )

Poor Braelyn. She is abused as a child, abused as an adult, and then ends up homeless. Of course there is a hero. Ethan sweeps in and protects her. The alpha male does everything in his power to make her feel safe again. I really liked that Ethan not only protects her but he makes her strong. He pushes her to stand on her own two feet, make decision, and start living again. It would have been easy to put her in a box, or his house, and keep her there forever. Yet, he knows that would not be any kind of life. Their relationship, while hot and steamy most of the time, is one of growing trust and mutual respect.

I enjoyed that LeAnn Asher wrote the book from two perspectives. Braelyn tells her story and what is happening in her life and then Ethan gets to tell his story. A lot of the time they are telling about the same incident. There are times that they are telling their histories and why they act, react, or just are the way they are. It is unique to get a man’s point of view within a romance story.

There were a few things that bothered me. It seemed that every character in this book had a bad history. No one grew up in a “normal” life. With each person Braelyn meets there is a torrid history. I was craving a person who grew up not being abused, left behind, or any other problem. I get that everyone has a history. Everyone has problems; just not everyone has to have such a violent history. This is really my only whine about the book.

The other characters in this book are screaming for their own stories and I have a feeling that LeAnn Ashers is going to bring those to her readers soon. I can’t wait to read what the rest of this crew have going on.

5 Stars!

LeAnn Ashers is a newer author on the scene and definitely not one to me missed. If you are a fan of sexy, sweet, suspenseful, safe, passionate, and easy.. then she is for you. Her books take you on a journey of couples intertwined in each other's lives.

Loving His Forever was a beautiful romance full of healing, redemption, love, and second chances. This book tugged at my heartstrings and made me the ultimate believer in fate. Ethan and Braelyn spoke deep down in my bones and marked my soul.

In this book, we meet Braelyn and Ethan, two people who meet by chance but find forever. Their story is full of hurdles, twists and turns but I wouldn't change any moment because it led them to each other. These two fell fast, much like I did for them.

Braelyn is broken. Running from the horrors of her life, she is homeless and finds herself seeking her one friend she use to have. And there her life changes when she meets her friend's brother, Ethan. He makes her believe she can heal and have more.

Ethan knows Braelyn is his one the minute he sees her. She might be broken, but he knows she is also a fighter. But life and love won't be easy for these two. They will have to face the past and put their lives on the line. But love is worth fighting for.

I loved these two. Man the ups and downs with them at times were edge of the seat action but they always seemed to pull through. I loved how we followed them as a couple more than apart, watching then fight, pull, push and grow with each other.

I highly recommend this book.

"He carries me to the couch and sits down with me on his lap, his head in the crook of my neck. I wrap my arms around him to hold on as tight as I can, wishing I could take away his pain."

5 love me forever stars!!! Heartbreaking, but so beautiful!

Braelyn has had a rough go of life, she's homeless and scared that the man who made her life a living hell is going to show up again. But a chance meeting with Ethan makes her open her eyes to new possibilities. Ethan never thought that he'd fall for the girl who took up most of his thoughts, but that's just what he did and when he learns of her past, he's ready for revenge... and what happens when her past comes creeping back into her life??

OMG I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this book is. My heart broke for Brae, you feel the pain and anguish she feels with each turn of the page. And Ethan is an absolute breath of fresh air and you can understand his need to protect the girl she's fallen for. The book will definitely take you on a ride of emotions, but it's so worth it!!

Loving his forever by LeAnn Ashers

I'm in complete love with both Ethan & Braelyn!!!

Okay if I thought I could only be in love with LeAnn Ashers' first book Protecting his Forever then I would be an idiot! Guess what.....I'm an idiot!

I am so in love with Ethan's cocky/confident, protective, loving, sweet, playful sex God self. He uses that arsenal to win over Braelyn, with that much ammo there was no hope of escape for her. Once his big strong & capable hands wrapped themselves around her, she would never be the same.

Now to Braelyn....what can I say about her? She is one of the most strongest women I have ever read about, the things she's had to endure from the time she was a child to what happens to her in college that started a chain of events to cause her to end up with Ethan. All I can say is....wow *tearing up* I just wanted to hug her, keep her tucked away and protect her. I laughed and cried again (hmm...I'm seeing a pattern here

Oh my heart! This book has me all emotional! Braelyn has been through a lot of shit in her life and she can't seem to catch a break. Then ethan her best friends brother steps up to the plate to see she's safe and protected and gets the love she deserves. There's so much feeling in this book it makes you sad for what she's been through and then happy cause she's getting her life back. Or omg the pranks and fun they have! You will laugh cry and want to punch some jerks in this book. I can't wait for the next one and the next one and the next one lol! You meet so many wonderful characters in this book. Thank you Leann for this amazing read!
I was given an arc for my honest opinion and I can just say it's amazing you don't want to miss this one people!

Ethan is amazing

I was super excited that Ethan was getting his book & it did not disappoint.
Braelyn went through hell & when she decides to finally get herself free she goes to her best friend, who happens to be Sydney who she left abruptly & hasn't seen in some time. And then she meets Ethan, Sydney's brothers& her life will never be the same. Ethan is your typical alpha, protective , sweet & super hot. Their connection was fantastic. The story flowed perfectly. And the 18 yrs epilogue was the best!!!!
Can't wait for the next in this series & more from Leann is the future.
