Christopher and his friends must overcome various despicable foes as they battle with riddles, codes, creatures of the night, deathly spectres and secret orders, as they go in search of Christopher's missing brother and father.

Through the darkness of a starless night a tall shadowy figure rode silently along the long wet road. His black cloak flapped about him like the wings of a great vampire bat. Christopher Daring looked on from his bedroom window, both intrigue and suspicion forming the seed of a new adventure.

Once accompanied by his best friend Jason, they embark upon a ghostly trail into the unknown. They soon find themselves fighting for their lives as they become unexpectedly entwined with both the living and the dead.

Upon Jason becoming spiritually trapped and in danger of being lost to the clutches of death itself, Christopher takes up a quest to find a missing golden pocket watch, that should restore balance to the dark forces that surround them all. But, the twisted greed of the local ghostly priest and his demonic hound, Satan, have other ideas.

With an unusual mix of science, technology, cosmology, fantasy fiction and a dash of the spiritual self, the Christopher Daring Adventures is a thrilling ride into the impossible.

I highly enjoyed this light-hearted children's adventure story. The pace and banter between the two boys kept everything moving a long nicely.

The evil priest is a convincing bad guy, who creates a genuinely scar situation for our main characters.

Good job by this new author.

This is a surprisingly good story. It handles time travel and the spirit world in a very realistic and believable manner. The main characters are a pair of 12 year-olds who get more than they bargain for when they follow a mysterious midnight biker. Each of the characters is realistic for what they represent, and the story picks up tempo and suspense as it continues. The style of writing provides enough description to form good mental images, but the setting never gets in front of the action. This is a worthwhile book for all ages.

Enjoyed this light-hearted and thrilling adventure and I'm looking forward to the next installment. I think my sons will enjoy it too when they are a little older, as it's about middle-grade reading age I would say.

I got an ARC copy of this, so thank you to the author.

I really enjoyed this, it feels like a really well-rounded novel, I would say it is my favourite of the author's so far. Though I am looking forward to the sequel.

Christopher spots an unusual site out of his window and decides to go on an adventure. Him and his friend Jason go in pursuit and end up crossing back in time, embroiled in adventures long since closed, but yet open to the spirits who are stuck unable to leave.

Through a lot of adventure and even death, they manage to resolve the issues keeping the spirits stuck.

A lot of fun and I look forward to seeing where the series goes.

Solid enjoyable writing. Convincing characters, plenty of fantasy at work. I like the authors style. Hopefully there will be more to come in future
