THE BIGGEST, BADDEST SLATER NOVEL YET…

Will Slater is back.

Aboard a luxury passenger train in the desolate Russian Far East, Slater heads for the port city of Vladivostok with a mysterious grudge. After traumatic past events, he was reluctant to return to the region, but he’s got unfinished business to attend to.

Terrified passengers, secret police, and shadowy underworld figures are just the beginning. Upon arriving in Vladivostok he finds something wretched. Something dark and twisted and shocking. In a barren corner of the Medved Shipbuilding Plant, the largest nuclear-powered icebreaker in the world is being constructed, protected by an army of mercenaries.

Slater sets to work digging for the truth. And what he finds puts him on a collision course with half the city. Because when the carnage reaches its apex, the consequences reveal themselves, larger and more daunting than anything he’s ever seen before.

This time, the stakes are incomprehensible...

An outstanding adventure as former special agent Will Slater decides to finish what he and Jason King started deep in a gold mine in Russia.
Will has recovered and realizes that he must end the lives of the wicked that are left after he broke up an evil kidnapping ring in the wilds of Russia. Thugs were kidnapping people then making them fight to the death while filming
to a link that the rich paid to see. He starts on a trip, a train to the outskirts of Russia, but notes some on the train acting awfully squirrelly.
What follows are exciting scenes and tough moments, with some downtime when Will gets involved with a woman he meets in a bar. There are some amazing characters, described so well you feel as if they are right beside you!
Another wonderful story of black agents, those no one knows are there working, and the mindset they follow. In too deep and needing assistance, Will puts a call out to Jason King, who has tried to leave the 'life' behind. Will he come to help a wounded fellow agent, or is he truly out ? Give this thriller a read to find the answer!!!

I've read every Black Ops book written by Matt Rogers and loved that he used this one to complete events from a previous novel. This doesn't mean you had to have read the first book to know what's going on BUT if you want to read another great Matt Rogers' story I would strongly suggest you read every one in order. Matt has taken a dyed in the wool mystery reader and made me an action lover as least as far as his books go. I tell you no plot or about the characters. That's your job and one you can look forward to.

Bear is the third installment in Matt Rogers's Will Slater series, takes readers on a thrilling journey back to Russia, seamlessly tying into a past incident from the penultimate book in the Jason King series, where Slater also made an appearance. As expected from Rogers, the narrative is action-packed, showcasing his trademark style. What sets this book apart is the compelling storyline, making it a standout within the series. The seamless integration of characters and events from a different series adds depth and intrigue, enhancing the overall reading experience. For fans of Rogers's work and action enthusiasts alike, "Bear" delivers an engaging tale that surpasses expectations, keeping readers hooked from beginning to end.

Set in Vladivostok Will Slater is still looking for trouble ,the orient Express racing to Vladivostok draws him to a potential carnage that would trigger WW3 add a kidnapped damsel to the mix alongside a narcissistic former high ranking government official looking for revenge against the world and you know Will has to but heads and hard. An enjoyable read that at times spends too much time analysing Why Will acts as he does not surprisingly Jason King is soon added to the mix in an hair raising bloodbath finale.

Fantastic read!

I love the Will Slater series. Lots of action snd highlights of his past as he battles through his fights while helping those who are in dire need of his special forces. Jason was the first series and hope he'll return soon and meet up with Will again.
Thanks Matt, enjoyed it very much!

Great story

I give this book a solid rating. I love the interaction between King and Slater. The two soloists working together again finish some in left business and close a chapter. Hopefully we'll see them work again

Bear

One of the most boring, poorly written tales I have seen in the last two years. What had been fairly good intrigue in previous stories was reduced to rambling philosophy that makes no sense.

Bear-Will Slater book 4

The most explosive book yet. Great to see Jason King return to the fray, just in time to assist his brother in arms. I'm starting the next book now. Keep up the awesome series.

More blood and Gore for the pundits and more pages of bull

Good action drying out toward acupressure from publisher fill up more pages with bull. I had lost the will to live in the last 50 pages of so. Only in fairy tales could the Bartholomew save a dayǹnn,

This is the third book in the series and Mike Slater gets less interesting. For a super detective it is hard to have the plot continue with believable stories.
