I stand corrected.
Thorek is somewhat like William Faulkner: one has to read through him more than once to appreciate what he has done for the study of anatomy. I absolutely hated him about a year and a half ago, but now I realize and appreciate his ability to transform such an inscrutable subject such as Anatomy with such simplicity and concision to become something digestible.
The drawings are also great.
