So, a demon and a hacker walked into a bar...
No, it's not the start of a joke.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a more of a paranormal cozy mystery with enough cursing and smut for me to enjoy it.
I did not like the fact that the book came to an end sort of on a cliff hanger and the epilogue really wasn't an epilogue...I wanted more, to see Samuel+Sara 5 years from now.
I loved that unlike the cliché where the immortal guy makes the chic immortal, Sara showed Samuel the value of one life and being human and valuing all that happens as it only happens once.
I am looking forward to reading Ash's story and seeing how it builds on this world and finding out if Morena got where she was going or got lost in the mail.

Let me start by saying I absolutely loved Demon in Salem. It's not your usual romance, with a hot demon haunting the house and a woman who has to save him. Both protagonists were likable and relatable, with just enough of baggage to make the story spicy. I liked Sara's independence and Samuel's respect for her. There was a strong chemistry between them, which only built with every page turned. On top of that steaming hotness, the book didn't fall short in funny, light-hearted scenes but also horrifying moments that made me afraid for MC's life.
I would recommend the book to anyone who loves to read HEA paranormal erotic romances with a hint of darkness and terror.

I really enjoyed this paranormal romance! This well-written story with a snarky heroine and a smokin-hot demon kept me sucked in and turning those pages. There was humor, there was magic, and a delicious amount of steam to keep me all tingly and satisfied. The suspense was thrilling and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next.
The teaser of Ash’s book at the end has me very excited to read the next book in the series! *grabby hands*

I loved. I was in the mood for a good paranormal romance and this one had the perfect amount of sweetness, magic and love. Exactly what I needed at the moment. Let's wait for the next one.

This was an okay read
I didn't hate it, but I was also kind of bored with it at times. I really didn't like the damsel in distress trope that she had going on here. It's just so typical of so many romance books that I now find it quite annoying. Sara has had bad luck with men all her life, from the guys she dates to the men she encounters in a professional setting. It just bothers me how men are portrayed as predators that see women as really dumb receptacles for their lust. So, if course, the hero has to save the heroine from all these brutes and protect her from the big bad men of the world. *sigh*

I really enjoyed this new authors book. The characters were funny and easy to relate to. This was a fun read and I can't wait for the next installment. I've read her other books and enjoy them all. I will be following her upcoming books and hope you all enjoy her too!

Sara is trying to avoid a murderous ex, Samuel is locked in stasis for a couple of hundred years and amuses himself by haunting the house he's entombed in.
She buys the house!
He does the usual poltergeist stuff, she more or less ignores it.
She sets up magic mirrors which let her see him but doesn't let on - then gets drunk one night with a female friend and lets the secret out.
Anything more would be a spoiler.
"Demon in Salem" has a good heart, the main characters are very likeable and the story is intriguing.
It has its faults but I was enjoying it too much to take note - and that was what I really liked about it.

I downloaded this book because it was free on Kindle and quite frankly, I wish I hadn't.
Cons:
The plotline lacked depth.
A few spelling mistakes, but not as much as I thought I'd see.
Poor grammar.
No showing, only telling. This is seriously annoying. The author seriously needs to rewrite this and create more depth and colour. I didn't feel drawn in with this book due to the lack of shoewing.
Pros:
It only took me a few hours to finish and I know not to read this author ever again until she learns to hire a developmental editor to work with her.

September 30, 2022I’m not sure what I just read. This story was just so unbelievable for me. There was this young girl that ran away from her previous life due to a stalker boyfriend that tried to kill her and she purchased a haunted house. Discovers there is a male spirit that she decides to set free from his cellar prison and then she takes a shower and has sex with him, no questions asked. Oh wait she did ask why he was down there but he declined 😳🙄

I really liked most of the book.
I didn't like how the ex boyfriend was a danger for all of 2 seconds before he's tossed out and never seen again, I also didn't like how the witches plotline didn't really go anywhere, and I especially didn't like how she asked the MMC to give up his mortality and he has one thought about and then instantly folds to please the FMC. Then at the end they have the happy ending with children.
Overall I liked most of this book, but the issues above soured my experience of it.
