Letting Go: How to choose freedom over clutter

Rate this book
Are you wanting to declutter, but find it hard to let go? Clutter is not about the stuff - it's about what's going on inside your mind. Your thoughts and your emotions will affect the relationship that you have with your belongings. This book will help you take a step back from the stuff and look at the thoughts you have that lead you to hold onto things you intellectually know you don't need or want anymore.

Experienced Declutter Coach and Professional Organiser Rebecca Mezzino has been helping people declutter, downsize and simplify their lives for over 13 years. She brings a wealth of experience in the reasons why you keep things, and how to quiet the objections in your mind and reduce the anxiety around parting with belongings. With stories and examples from real-life clients, she knows what makes you tick, and can help you turn your relationship with your belongings into a positive one.

A blunt, but honest introduction for those who might have a little, or a lot of stuff that serves no purpose but they are attached to. A hard look into the emotional and psychological traits for those with attachments to “stuff”, and how to disembark from “stuff” owning you, and a giving you more freedom to live a life rather than be owned by your status symbol through possession.

Removing not decluttering

Positive achievable tips that I will explore today and keep practising. Personality types and personal vackgrounds examined in a way that encourages and demystify behaviours. Now to action and go gently, not critically or aiming g for the stars. Time to e realistic and realise chaos at ho.e is akin to landfill so use, reuse or rehome it. Everything has a time and place as the old saying goes. Worth rereading again and again.

Nutritious Food for thought

Well presented strategies for being able to live a decluttered lifestyle. I think I have used every statement in every chapter. I am looking forward to putting these strategies in action. I will also say that I have met Rebecca personally and she is lovely, very understanding and knows what she is talking about. No judgement whatsoever and I was completely comfortable with her.
The only reason I gave 4.5 stars (rounded down to 4) was because some of the editing left a bit to be desired.
