Agent Riley O’Connor left Chicago on a flight to San Francisco. She never made it, or so it seems. Now she is missing. Vanished into thin air. The entire San Francisco field office is looking for her, and Jack Beckett joins them. Becket can do something the FBI can’t. He can break the rules. He can think way outside the box. He knows that whoever took O’Connor wasn’t playing by the rules, and he won’t either. From San Francisco to Santa Cruz to Denver, the hunt is on. Beckett will find Riley O’Connor if it’s the last thing he ever does.
If you are a fan of bullys getting their comeuppance, you are, no doubt, enjoying the Beckett series. There are often side bars where he helps someone in need and sends the thugs to the hospital. The main plot of this one is a bit different, however. This time the perp (Leonard) is not a professional killer. He is a schizophrenic who had a very abusive childhood. He was taken in by a couple that eventually killed the children. But a killer he is nonetheless. He thinks he needs a witness so he kidnaps O'Connor. Although she escapes, they still need to stop Leonard. Lots of action!
Missing is the fifth book in the Jack Beckett Thrillers and is a must-read addition to this series.
This gripping book has the reader follow Jack Beckett and Agent Riley O’Connor as they face off against a psychopath who hears voices that tell him to kill. The story is fast-paced and action-packed, with kidnapping, murder, danger, and suspense.
I cannot wait for the next book in this exciting series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
