Neca was known as the best friend to Yah-Yah but she had a lot more to her than holding her girl down.
Neca Herrington is a man’s worse nightmare. If she ever walked into your life and stole your heart, don’t look for a commitment. The only thing she wanted was the bag. To have a conversation with her was going to cost you. She had a way with words and swag. Neca is a boss and had one of the biggest salon’s in her town but she still wanted more. With several men in her Rolodex, she could pick one for every day of the week if she wanted to but there was one man she was loyal to. Her loyal and his loyal meant two different things.
Gip has been holding his love in for Neca for years. Until recently, he was able to step to her and get her attention. He wanted to make sure his money was right before he stepped to her. What he thought was blooming into a beautiful relationship was only an illusion. He loved hard but made a few mistakes along the way that could cost his situation with Neca to diminish. In order to keep things under control, he drops money to keep things quiet, but even money can’t keep a woman happy.
Some situations can tear you apart or bring you back together. Both of them got their heart on the line but neither of them are willing to compromise.

Jenica Johnson listen here lady I Loved It!! That darn Neca is a force to be reckoned with! Loved her before but this Neca right here is something serious! She did her dirt, however she had morals & being with a married man with a family was not something she was willing to do! Markie effed up when he lied to her on more than one occasion about his wife regardless to what was happening in his marriage he lied! Gip (SMDH) I'm really not interested in her getting back with him either he was screwing everything around and lying about it! Bash, Yah-Yah, Big Mama and their kids are definitely the best! Waiting on part 2 that darn grand opening is/was a trip!

Markie is cool but I’m team Gip! Gip and Neca has a history. Gip don’t come with baggage unlike Markie. Markie lied about his situation to in the beginning to Neca, now he caught feelings he wants to be truthful. Oh please....My vote is for Gip and Neca!

Nothing To Play With
Neda is nothing nice!! Playa and heart only to Gip but she will not release it to him. YahYah is her girl who is also Gips cousin wants those 2 together. Neca wont give in. YahYah's man Bash lives her and very secure with their relationship. Markie Bash's guy and his women Vasha are trying to keep this married life but sandstorm is coming and Neca's beauty and swag will suffocate his mind to know end. Bash tries to warn him. Without telling Neca he is married Markie is on the hunt. With Gip pressuring her for a relationship they fall out leaving the door open. Markie is trying to handle home and pursue Neca. Gip is hurting about his mom, finding out Neca ia seeing his boss and trying to hide a possible pregnancy from her. Vasha is doing too much in her little town with the bored ladies of those dope boys and it is starting to catch up with her. With Gips mom passing he can never thank Neca enough but he tries. Life is just going down down for him and he is insisting on taking Neca with him. At the opening of her new salon Neca is bombarded with trouble and a markie professes his love for her? It does not look good!!!

This is one for the record. I was all in my feelings from beginning to end. I was all team Gip and Neca at first. Now I'm team Neca and Markie. Vasha needs to get gone. She is so trifling. I want her to lose Markie because she's just nasty. I can hardly wait to see what happens in part 2. Jenica Johnson your writing is superb. I couldn't put this book down.

Jenica Flexin
This was an awesome read. Neca is a straight up man. She is a boss in her own right but she has the characteristics of a man. I love that she is strong minded and willed. Gip was dirty for messing with that little fast girl but Markie ain't right either. I mean he had a whole wife. Granted she was a little slut but whatever. He still lied. I know part 2 is about to be litttttt.

My vote is Neca and Markie. Yeah he lied but he’s done more for her than Gip in the short amount of time they’ve been together. Gip moves on to fast for me. Every time Neca did something he didn’t like he was with someone else. Markie gave her all his attention. Great read. #team Markie&Neca

Omg!! What in the fatal love triangle hell! I love this spin off. Neca was one of my favorite characters in flexin on my ex. I'm glad that we get a peek into her life. I'm team Gip and I hope they get it together. Markie is cool but he needed to end things with his wife before trying to get with Neca.

Neca wasn’t my cup of tea
I don’t like Neca too much. She a gold digger but the minute a guy buy her a house, finish paying off her new business all she did was seem ungrateful and cop an attitude like “how dare you buy me these expensive things”. Her character was very contradictory and I couldn’t get with it.

Good continuation with these likable characters. Neca's mouth was lethal at times. She had a hard decision to make concerning Gip & Markie. Vasha is definitely in the way & foul with her activities. Fast paced storyline with mild humor. Looking forward to next part. Good read

I really enjoyed this book started off a little slow but the end was awesome! I like Necca style I hope she end up with Markie. I think she would be a great role model for Markie's daughter.

Damn! I thought Yah-Yah was a beast! Neca ass is a SAVAGE!! I loved Grip for her but he was to immature and not ready to settle down. Markie on the other hand was a better match but his “real” life is why they could never be. Especially if Vasha is still breathing
