He never wanted to be anyone’s hero…

Some would call me irrevocably broken. I submerge myself in long work hours by day and debauchery at The Wicked Horse by night, using those things to numb the pain and guilt I feel over the death of my wife. What isn’t satisfied by one will surely be resolved by the other. At least that’s how I’ve survived the last few years.

But things change when Hannah Madigan shows up at my door, the newest employee sent by the company that cleans my apartment. Beat down by life, not to mention a cheating husband who was unfairly awarded custody of their daughter, Hannah is determined to make a better life for herself and get her kid back, even if it means working three jobs to do so. One costly mistake puts Hannah in my debt, and I’m not about to let the chance to have this dark-haired beauty pass me by.

She’s given a golden opportunity…

Determined to stay the course by any means necessary, Hannah accepts my less than professional offer. I’ll give her a job. She’ll give me her body. Sounds easy, right? Until the scales tip and I find myself needing her in ways I’m not ready to admit. Until I find that saving someone else may just mean allowing myself to be saved in return.

-What has me on edge is how much I want her. It borders on being out of control, and it’s not something I’m used to.

-I am very much attracted to Asher Knight. What sane woman wouldn’t be? Look up the word “gorgeous” in the dictionary... there’d be a picture of Asher Knight.

-He is sex incarnate. He embodies everything that is lust and pleasure. He’s beyond adventurous and totally confident in whatever he does. When he commands me, I’m powerless to say no.

What begins as impersonal slowly transforms into more as the closed off Asher starts to feel too much. He can never let himself open up to be hurt again, but when Hannah's suddenly worked her way into his life and his heart how will he ever survive without her?

I loved this book so much! It's one of my favorites in The Wicked Horse Vegas series. Asher Knight is one swoony, delicious man who will steal your heart. This story is full of passion and emotion that will have you hooked throughout. I really enjoyed this fabulous second chance romance!

Wicked Knight was an emotional and heated tale of a down on her luck mother, Hannah, just trying to get custody of her daughter back from her douchebag of an ex. Enter Asher Knight, a ruthless business man who takes what he wants, no questions asked - and he wants Hannah. What starts as a purely hedonistic arrangement quickly turns into much more when these two get together.

This series has moved away from the actual Wicked Horse club quite a bit but I'm not mad at it. I liked that we got to see so much passion between these characters and the chemistry between them was very evident from the beginning. I'm not going to lie, I did wish there was a little more on the sexy-scale since that's just what I go into this series expecting.

Overall, a great story and one that I think will surprise a lot of people. Hannah really tugged at the emotions with how much she was willing to fight for her daughter. And Asher certainly turned out to be a surprisingly sweet character to read about.

If you like your romances with a spoonful of decadent sexiness, then Wicked Knight should be on your eReader! If you’re a Wicked Horse fan, get ready for another sizzling hot, erotic romance by Sawyer Bennett.

Hannah Madigan is struggling to keep afloat. After her cheating ex-husband left her with nothing and was underhandedly awarded custody of their daughter, she has been working three jobs trying to get her life back on track, but her life will never be the same after she breaks a ridiculously expensive vase and finds herself indebted to a gorgeous, controlling man whose mere look turns her on like no other.
“He is sex incarnate. He embodies everything that is lust and pleasure. He’s beyond adventurous and totally confident in whatever he does. When he commands me, I’m powerless to say no.”

For years after the death of his wife and the inevitable suffering and guilt, Asher Knight immersed himself in work and the decadence the Wicked Horse provided until the beautiful Hannah makes a costly mistake which allows him to make her a job offer: to accompany him to the Wicked Horse. Soon they realize they need each other more than just physically. But will this broken man who doesn’t allow emotional attachment allow her to save him just like he’s saving her?
“What has me on edge is how much I want her. It borders on being out of control, and it’s not something I’m used to.”

Sawyer Bennett is without a doubt an automatic one click for me. Her stories never fail to engage me, make me smile and yes, in this case even sweat even though it’s getting cold outside. Wicked Knight is as hot as all of its predecessors in the series and it also has a fantastic plot, with wonderfully complex characters that absolutely captivated me from start to finish.

Due to its erotic nature, there are abundant sexy times. But what I enjoy the most about Bennett’s books are her characters and the layers she expertly reveals through their journey towards happiness, fulfillment and love.

I loved Asher’s protectiveness towards Hannah right from the start, and even though he fought it tooth and nail, this strong woman broke through his impenetrable shields right into his incredibly soft and sweet heart. I loved all the passion and sexy tenderness between Hannah and Asher and that ending was perfect.

Wicked Knight is book #5 of the Wicked Horse Vegas series by Sawyer Bennett. It is a naughtily sexy and sweet standalone romance. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Another bad book. From Miss Bennett nonetheless. Wicked series is light BDSM romance.

Lets get staright to what does not work for me here:
1. Asher. He is coming to me as confusing character. He acts only on his impulse and insta lust.
2. The issue about indecent proposal between Asher and Hannah. There was issue about wh*r* being said bit never been addressed until the end.
3. Hannah. She is basically one dimensional character. She does not grow further.

And on the top of that, the plot is boring.

Wow, as a mother I could totally see myself doing whatever it takes to get my daughter back, so Hannah Madigan has my full support in this story!!

She divorced her cheating husband, and is working 3 jobs trying to raise the money necessary to get her daughter back. Let me tell you, her ex-husband is a real dick!!!

While at one of her 3 jobs she has an accident that puts her in debt to Asher Knight.

Asher Knight is a filthy rich, beautiful billionaire who runs Knight Investment Group, which is his family’s business. Asher is a very broody and guarded individual but after his wife committed suicide he has no place for feelings in his life unless it is for his sister. He is a workaholic and the only real pleasure he allows himself is going to The Wicked Horse sex club where he can accomplish sexual gratification without involving intimacy.

Now because of Hannah’s misfortune he has acquired a new play toy that he has almost unlimited access to.

Although Asher sounds very sexy, I wasn’t sure he was going to be a character I liked but he turned out to be a real “Knight in shining armor” pun intended!!

Sexy and heart-squishing at the same time…

The Wicked Horse series is full of must-read, hot as hades stories with strong men and women coming together to mutually fulfill their desires. The Club is the focal point but it is the characters that visit it that keep striking a chord…

Asher and Hannah come together in a big ‘oops’ moment that start a passionate roller coaster that ran the gamut of emotions. Hannah was struggling under responsibilities that refused to make her break. She was strong enough to face everything her ex dished out while keeping her family, especially her adorable daughter, her focus. Money is in no supply so when she suddenly owes Asher an obscene amount, she makes a decision that rocked her life… and his…. Asher was wealthy and seemed to hold all the cards in his brusque, distant way. That soon crumbled under the onslaught of Hannah and her daughter. Things he refused to think about for himself were suddenly not only what he wanted but something he was going to have to fight for…

Hannah and Asher were great together! Asher with his brusque ways soon melted under Hannah’s charm, sassy ways and unrelenting determination. Soon he was in the unfamiliar role of chasing and it was a shock to him and absolutely entertaining for me! This was my last read of the year and it was the perfect way to end it – with my heart warm and a happy smile on my face… Love is good… ~Diane, 4.5 stars

Sigh, it is sad to come to the end of another Sawyer Bennett series, however she has sent us out with a bang.

I have been waiting for Asher's story and I was not disappointed.

Hannah and Asher's story was a bit too insta-f*ck for me, but it didn't really bother me as their story developed.

I liked that there wasn't really any drama, no OTT angst, and that they both acted like adults instead of petulant children chucking a hissy fit.

I loved getting to go back to the Wicked Horse, catching up with some of the people we have met in earlier books.

There is a little scene stealer that will absolutely run away with your heart too (and no, it isn't Asher!)

I like that Hannah isn't a doormat. She sticks up for herself and her daughter, she gives as good as she gets, and makes Asher fight for her.

Cute, sweet, full of tender moments, Wicked Knight was a wonderful read. It has made me want to go back to Vegas again - not to the sex club!

I can't wait to see what Ms Bennett brings us next.

I missed the Boom

I was so happy when I knew there was goin to be more of this series. The first series of Wicked Horse was just brilliant and this spin off series has just been as good. But I m a lil disappointed it was Kynan I feel like I 've been waiting so long for this guy's book. Please say it coming soon. I can't wait much longer.

I did like this book and I enjoyed it the story was good and I really like liked Hannah and Asher. Well definitely Asher. This guy is smoking hot and if he wants something he's getting it end off. Once this guy got a look at Hannah he knew he wanted her. Asher's life has been a lil up and down over the last few years. There has been more downs than ups but it has made him the people he is today. He is a workaholic he has took the family business even higher than his father did and he is proud which he should be. But Asher does need to let it some of the steam and the best place is at the Wicked Horse. It's everything he needs in one place. When he took a look at Hannah he knew he needed her there he just needed to make that work and it happened to work out well.

Hannah is a really strong woman she has been through a lot but she has come out of it so strong. She works her back side off to make sure her family have what they need. Hannah might not be rich and have all the luxuries her ex husband has be she is loyal caring and we'll done everything for the people she loves. That even put her in a situation that she never dreamt she would be in but when money talks and it helps get you what would make you so happy you do it. And let's be honest the situation could be so much worst its Asher Kinght what more could you want.

I did enjoy this book but I did feel like it was a bit tamed. I m so used to these books being hot and steamy having the Boom but it was a lil to tamed in parts. I still luvd the book it had a really good story to it. So I m not complaining I just thought it missed the hotness that the other books had. I really liked Hannah got this woman has been through a lot but the best thing to ever happen to get was Asher he gave her what she needed to make things better. I really liked that she deserved some happiness and she did Asher so they really suited each other. I would recommend this book it's got a red hot smoking alpha man in it and a women they knows what she needs to do even when things get hard she still does her best. It's a great book.

This was a fast and easy read with interesting main characters, as is typical of Sawyer Bennett books. Asher and Hannah both have some personal issues that they're dealing with, however the story rolls along fairly well, and for the most part everything is dealt with in a mature way. There is no crazy angst or anything like that.

There are some fun secondary characters who really lend to the story and play some important parts.

I liked both main characters and I would recommend.

But he's mega attracted to Hannah! And the more time he spends with her, the more he thinks about a different, not so lonley future as the one he was planning on having ....

Well, this was sexy and sweet!

I really liked those two together. Hannah needs Asher to fight her stupid ex and Asher needs Hannah to get over the guilt about his wife. And to not end up an old guy living with 12 cats!☺

It was really adorable to watch him fall for Hannah and Hope.

A very sweet and very sexy and romantic story! I really enjoyed reading it.

It starts a tiny bit too insta for my tastes. Hannah breaks the vase and two seconds later Asher offers her the sex club idea? But pfff, why not?

WICKED WEDDING was a very sweet and sexy romance! Adorable!!

Just a few issues with this one, but overall a good read once I ignored the issues.

The issues? Hannah's divorce from her rich husband. Okay, I understand that the husband's golf buddy judge ruled in his favor and gave him primary custody of their daughter Hope. But to make the penniless Hannah also provide child support? That was just ridiculous. Did she have the worst lawyer that her little bit of money could buy? I understand this was important to the plot in the long run to show why Hannah accepted money to sleep with Asher and then later to be his 'house manager' (lol)--- she'd do anything to be able to hire a better lawyer to fight the custody arrangement but jeez...

Another issue was Asher. Man was he a cold, cold brute at the outset. I was thinking ' boy, this guy must have some serious issues'. And to the author's credit, she did reveal them in time and him spending time with Hannah softened him up and made him more likable by the end of the book. But I was definitely worried that I was going to have a hard time liking him.

One more issue that had me shaking my head: wouldn't a millionaire businessman have his own private jet? Or if not owning one, then flying by private jet? But when Asher goes after Hannah when she leaves town, he can't immediately follow because all the commercial flights are booked solid. Really?

Okay, enough nitpicking. While this story was not my favorite of this series, it did move surprisingly fast and I guess I liked the Cinderella aspect of it. And while there was certainly time spent at the Wicked Horse and there was definitely detailed scenes about what went on there, not every time was graphically detailed. Some times were left to your imagination. So kudos on not overdoing the smut factor.😁

Not a bad read at all but I'm still searching for one that will knock my socks off in this series...

Wicked Knight was the fifth book in the Wicked Horse Las Vegas series.

Asher Knight was the billionaire owner of Knight Investments. He was a widow and a ruthless and emotionless leader. Hannah Madigan was a mom of a five year old with three jobs who just went through a terrible divorce with a total prick.

The two met in unusual circumstances and Asher convinced Hannah to be his on call partner at The Wicked Horse. It was the perfect arrangement for both - Asher needed an unemotional attachment and Hannah needed the financial means to get custody of her daughter.

As expected from Bennett, it was well written and entertaining. As for the characters - they too were well written and fitting for the story - but Asher was cold emotionally and I craved more from him. Bennett explained it well - so it was understandable, but I was personally pulling for more. Otherwise, it was a fast and enjoyable read.

I couldn’t stand this book. Let’s be clear about what the WHOLE premise of the book was: Asher pays Hannah to accompany him to a sex club whenever he summons her. So where the hell were the spicy sex scenes?!? Non existent. It was mostly fade to black or talked about after the fact in very few details.

Besides that huge issue, I hated every guy in this book. Asher, Asher’s dad, Hannah’s ex husband. All were wealthy pretentious assholes. I also felt no connection with Asher and Hannah. They barely spoke since it was just sex at first and now they’re all of a sudden in love?? I am so confused.

"If my estimation is right, I wont be able to get enough of her."

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Sawyer Bennett can tell a story! I have read so many books by her, and yet they're all different. If I ever worried that her stories would start sounding the same, she has proven me wrong, time and time again. With this book being the fifth standalone in this spinoff series, I can and will say I'll read five more.

One of my favorite things about Sawyer's stories are that she writes not only a compelling love, but a love that makes you feel good. Yes, this was a feel good book but it still had the edge I've come to expect from her stories. I read about a very strong and brave heroine who was very admirable with her sense of pride and integrity. I read about a man that was richer than sin, had anything and everything he wanted at his fingertips, yet he didn't have a heart left to love with. If you think this is the cliché broken hero/brave heroine story, you are mistaken. There was so much more she gave me in this love story.

The crazy thing is, this book was extra emotional for me. It almost mirrored parts of my life to a T. No, I haven't fallen in love with my boss or been to a sex club!! But Hannah's plight, her reason for doing anything and everything she does, was hard to read, hard to stomach because that kind of thing happens. As sad as it is, and as unjust as it feels....Sawyer made this story not only about a blossoming love, but about the fight that a mom will battle just to make sure her baby is happy. It was aggravating and cute, sexy yet strong. I do love when we get legal challenges in her books because she knows exactly what she's talking about and that part of the story is always intriguing to me.

So, what bothered me? Why isn't this a five star read if I loved it so much? Not a whole lot, but the beginning was a smidge rough, which set me back a minute. I love how smooth her storytelling is. How convincing her written love is. But this one started out on the wrong foot for me and it made me side-eye the first few pages. There was also more than the usual repetition of actions/reasonings than I felt necessary, which is really unlike her normal style. She usually tells her stories in a forward progression so the recaps weren't necessary, in my opinion. And while I understand Hannah's reasoning for doing what she was doing, personal thought processes made me feel...icky (nice grown up word there, I know) because I don't even know how I would have honestly and truthfully handled that proposition. She sure gave a whole new meaning to doing anything for your child....a true mother's sacrifice. Having said that, I whipped through this book and enjoyed it a TON. So clearly nothing bothered me too much and I smiled throughout most of the book.

All in all, repeatedly: I will forever read Sawyer Bennett's books. I love her stories. I love her characters. I love how easy I all in love with every bit of it. Another win from her, regardless of my issues in the beginning. When I can easily recommend this book, I know it's a win. I smiled. I fell. I loved. I sighed. It just worked well for me.

"Each day I have with her in the future will be the best day I've ever had."

I’m sad that this is last book in the series, but what a way to go out!

It was all kinds of smexy, not that anyone should be surprised since it is Sawyer Bennett and The Wicked Horse, but I was pleasantly surprised with how things between Asher and Hannah played out all the way right up to the very end.

I have to say that I adored Hannah! Absolutely adored her. She’s struggling, she really is, and yet she is bound and determined to claw her way out of the situation she is in (which is totally unfair ~ just sayin’) and come out on top in the end. She’s sassy, snarky and knows her worth and demands that others acknowledge it.

Asher. This man. He is all kinds of Alpha AF. Stubborn, intelligent and cocky. The man knows what he wants and goes after it. But beneath all of that is a man who has been broken and hasn’t truly been able to put the pieces back together again and that makes him a complex, yet lethal package.

Hannah and Asher’s journey to their HEA was a fun one and I was a little surprised by that. I mean, after reading the blurb I thought things were going to be more angsty and they really weren’t. There were a few issues along the way, but for the most part, it was a fun ride with adults actually acting like adults. I loved their bantering and the smexy was HAWT (OMG HAWT) Now, things are totally smooth sailing and when the big ole sink hole in their journey happened I was very much #TeamHannah. I understood Asher’s side of things, I did, but I also wanted to reach out and Gibbs smack some sense into him. Thankfully, the grovelling was well done and I loved how everything worked out for them in the end.

And then there is Hope, Hannah’s daughter. She was kind of everything and I loved all that she brought to the story.

As I said in the beginning, I’m sad to say goodbye to the Wicked Horse, but it was definitely a fun and smexy ride all around!

Another hot and sexy read by Sawyer Bennett! Even though this is book 5 in the series, it can definitely be enjoyed as a stand alone, since the interconnecting thread is the sex club itself, The Wicked Horse.

I liked that even though Asher and Hannah had been dealt bad hands in life so far, they didn't let it destroy them. Sure, it influenced their decisions and made them put up walls around their hearts, but they kept surviving. This was a much more heartfelt story than I anticipated, and the Wicked Horse took a bit of a back seat this time around. There are still plenty of sexy times, but the club itself wasn't featured as prominently. Things start off extremely quick between Asher and Hannah, and for me that took away a lot of the anticipation/build up. I wanted to get a better feel for the characters before jumping right in. Hannah's ex and the legality of their custody arrangement felt really unrealistic, but I did love little Hope. She was a sweet addition to the story and she stole the show every time she was on the page.

Though not my favorite of the series, Wicked Knight is still a fun and sexy read that Sawyer Bennett fans are sure to enjoy!

Well this was a huge disappointment on so many levels. You might consider my review as a spoiler; however, the issues I have with this book are ALL of the things I hate and I want you to be educated in case they're things that bother you, too.

Asher (billionaire) is devoted to his company and the only sex he has is at The Wicked Horse. Why is this? Well his first wife (whom he loved) died by suicide and he refuses to risk his heart again. Plus he blames himself.
Hannah (single mom) works three jobs and one is cleaning Asher's house. When she accidentally knocks over a $75k vase, Asher tells her that she can repay him by having sex with him. Hannah really needs money, and she finds Asher hot as hell and admits (to herself) that she'd have sex with him for free, so she accepts his proposal. After the first time they have sex, Asher decides he wants her to be his full time sex buddy and asks her to quit all her jobs to do it. Do you see where this is going??

Asher: has twin sister, dad who is a dick, mom died of heart attack.

Hannah: works three jobs because her ex-husband (whom she loved) got sole physical custody of their daughter because his friend was the judge in the case and she couldn't afford a good attorney. She also has brothers who always ask her for money (and apparently she'd rather send them money for a guitar than save it for getting her daughter back). Plus - guess what - she's also in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Yay! Cancer.

PLUS - considering there's a sex club involved and he's paying her for sex - we don't get any of it!!!! It all fades away after they start kissing - suddenly it's the next day!! At one point, he's about to have sex with her at TWH, he's made a big deal about using one of the sex machines on her, says she's going to be in the spotlight - right when they're ready to start this adventure, it skips to the next day. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK! Then - the first time they have sex without a condom, which is usually a big deal, is totally skipped. I think we got maybe one sexual experience that was the whole thing - beginning till end. Dude - I was livid.

We also get inciteful crap like:
"I leave my task of slicing the can of cranberry sauce, which is my favorite part of thanksgiving, to do as she asks. My mom moves to the side far enough so I can open the oven door, but she still stirs the gravy so it doesn't clump. I use the towel to grab the pan of fresh rolls that are perfectly browned on top, placing it on the counter. After which I transfer the hot rolls to a basket that mom had placed there with a decorative cloth napkin lining it"

WHAT THE FUCKING HELL DO WE NEED THIS INFORMATION FOR?!?! I'd much rather hear about them actually fucking than this nonsense.

I was going to give it a 2, but now that I've written my summary, it's a 1. I'm just pissed the f*ck off.

The ONLY thing I liked about this was that Asher is a sexy billionaire. I literally hate all the other things.

Wicked Knight pulled at my heartstrings more than my girlie parts and I’m not even a little bit disappointed it that. Yes, there’s a certain amount/type of sexual expectation that is associated with the Wicked Horse series, and there’s plenty of sexual story-line to go around, but this story leaned more towards the #feels for me. There’s was actually a point very close to the beginning where Asher is having an inner monologue about the death of his wife and his guilt over it where I stopped very suddenly and slammed my iPad shut because I couldn’t breath. I didn’t think I would be able to finish. I’ve personally lived that aspect of Asher’s backstory and the power behind that scene transported me to a place I hadn’t been in a very long time. It took me a minute/while to keep going and it was worth the effort.

I’ve always thought Sawyer Bennett’s best works where those where the #feels of the story where front and center. This story hit the mark on all emotional fronts for me. It wasn’t so heavy that it turned into a #cryfest, but neither was it passive nor dismissive of the #feels and emotions true to the story-line. Very well thought out and executed, imo.

The story didn’t quite hit the 5 star level for me for only one reason … Hannah’s situation/circumstance with her child and ex-husband was a little twitchy for me. I didn’t do any research, but for my gut just thought it was way OTT and it really didn’t need to be for the story to work. It was just too much for me to firmly put all of it in the realm of possibility and I was leaning more towards dramatic for drama and I’m not a fan of those so ….. 4.5 stars it is.

If you have been a fan of this series and read any of the Wicked books, as they are all standalones, then don’t miss out on this new edition. Now if you’re not familiar with the Wicked series, then you should know that it’s based around a sex club and this one is located in Vegas. It can get a little kinky but there is also a full story line that involves a couple. This time we have Asher and Hannah.

What starts out as a second job to make ends meet turns into a whole new world for Hannah. She never expected the offer that Asher gives her and won’t look at a feather duster the same way again. Their coupling is extremely quick, there’s no waiting around for the action but it takes a while longer for them to realize their feelings for each other. I felt this book wasn’t as dedicated to the club and detailed as the others, but for me it was spot on. It was enough to fulfill the fantasies and not too much to make it monotonous.

What I loved about this couple was that when life kicked you to the curb, you got back up and moved on. Hannah was better at it than Asher, it took him some time. His defenses were air tight for the last five years, and the walls started to crumble before he even knew it himself. He stumbles along the way, which made me ache for Hannah, but with a lot of Hope, everything works out for a magical HEA.

4 CROWNS

The conclusion to the Wicked Horse Vegas series is enjoyable. It was sexy. It has likable characters, yet I did find that it lacked that something the other books in the series had. Maybe I expected more steam, maybe some more suspense. I just felt like I needed more, and I’m not really sure I can pinpoint it.

Overall the characters are likable. Asher Knight is broody and sexy with that heart buried underneath all the grumpiness. Hannah is the struggling mom who is admirable. The chemistry is okay, and the sex, as always is hot. I felt overall that there wasn’t really anything that made me fall head over heals in love. I liked them.

The story itself is good, although predictable. It is paced well, but it is pretty clear from the beginning how it will all unfold. There is a bit of a hiccup I wasn’t expecting that ties to his past, but it was over petty fast. The ending is cute, and I did enjoy the overall experience.

This series has been one of my favorites from Sawyer Bennett. Almost all of them have had elements of danger, sexual liberation, and hot chemistry, so maybe my expectations for the finale were a bit too high.

4.5 Knight Stars

What a great three knight reading this! See there, that's a pun. Sorry but I had to do it. LOL. Okay, back to the review.

Asher Knight is a ruthless businessman, a kinky lover but overall a sweet man. Oh, the way he took care of Hannah and her daughter Hope are just beyond sweet!

Hannah Madigan is a fierce mother, an independent woman and a great lover. She heals Asher's wound made by his late wife. She fight for her child. She stayed strong because of Hope. I really love a strong heroine character. Kudos to SB for not having too many hot kinky scenes in this book. It was at a great dose.

A great start into 2019. More books to come!

4.5 Stars!

➤ I loooved Hannah! She had her firm believes and values but wouldn't let them stand in her way if it helped getting back her daughter. Her dedication to Hope was what made the heroine so admirable. Also, the way she handled her ex-husband when he tried to sabotage her relationship with Asher? Give that woman a medal!
➤ The romance between the H and h was slow and steady and perfect!
➤ Hope and Asher's relationship was adorable.

You can see this and other Reviews I have written along with various cover reveals, excerpts, and giveaways here Nadine's Obsessed with Books

There are many things that I like about the Wicked Horse Vegas series, each of the books can be read as a standalone, each book has a likable couple, each book has some kinky BDSM play (some more than others), and each book is a HOT read.

In this book, Wicked Knight, we are gifted with Asher and Hannah's story and I have to say it is the most emotional one of the series. Both Asher and Hannah are dealing with events that have happened to them and are trying to find their way around them. For Asher, he's been trying to cope with the death of his wife for the last five years, but other than throwing himself into work and spending his nights at the Wicked Horse Vegas he really hasn't moved on or worked through her death at all. As for Hannah, she is working three jobs to pay her ex-husband child support while he lives his cushy life in the mansion with her daughter and his flavor of the month. Hannah is trying hard to save money to hire an attorney so that she can fight for custody and get back her daughter that was wrongly taken from her.

Sawyer delivers another great read with Wicked Knight, plenty of sexy times both in and out of the club, but this one also delivers on the emotional level as well. Sawyer is a gifted writer that takes you on a journey and makes you feel as if you are right there witnessing everything first hand. If you enjoy contemporary romance that can fall under the erotic or BDSM sub-genre I would highly recommend not only this book but the entire series. Happy Reading!!!

What an amazing, well written, captivating book from my 1 click Sawyer Bennett once again. 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 is a standalone novel in the interconnected series 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 but can be read completely as a standalone. You don’t need to know any of the prior characters in this one. One makes a small appearance.

I have been reading this amazing series and I have to say, I am awed by Sawyer’s brilliant writing once again. She manages to get me to read any trope and love it. In 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 we meet Asher Knight who is a brilliantly dominant, alpha who comes across as a take no prisoners a-hole initially. Oh man does that change. Asher is in his hotel room when he sees a maid that he can’t help staring at for her beauty. This maid accidentally knocks over an expensive item in Asher’s home making her in his debt… cue sexy time and alpha behavior.

I absolutely adored Asher and Hannah and their very different love stories. Asher grows so much as a character. He is a widow and has vowed to never feel the pain of loss again. The circumstances of what happened also skew his views on trust and relationships.

Hannah, oh sweet but strong and independent Hannah works so hard and is going through a custody battle with her ex.

Just wait until you read how beautiful it all is. Sawyer can do no wrong in my eyes. This was sweet, sexy, and at times I had no idea what would happen.

I highly recommend and love this tale of a man closed off and a woman struggling. Can he be her knight in shining armor? The best part is, Hannah is no damsel. She can do it all on her own.

Asher Knight is highly successful, having taken over his father's business and doubled its net worth. He is just as committed with his downtime, regularly frequenting The Wicked Horse and gorging on the debauchery he finds there. He's closed himself off completely since the death of his wife, and much to his twin sisters exasperation, he persists that he's happy with his lot.

Hannah Madigan has fallen on sad times, not of her own doing. She was happily married with a young daughter until she wasn't. Her husband cheated on her, not only with an affair, but then in a custody battle. Hannah now works multiple jobs in an attempt to create stability and the possibility of one day gaining custody of her daughter.

Hannah and Asher meet when Hannah is part of the cleaning team in Asher's house. Asher spots her immediately, and is drawn to her. How fortunate for him that a situation arises, enabling him to offer Hannah a lifeline contract, ensuring he too is a benefactor.

I love Sawyer's stories, especially as she's outstanding at turning contemptible jerks into swoon worthy companions. Coupled with that, her women have grit and spunk, and Hannah had that in droves. It was a delight to see her downtrodden past reveal a bright future. All done with humour, sass and Sawyer's unique wordplay.

This has been a great series, and whilst each story aligns itself with The Wicked Horse to a greater or lesser degree, the characters in each story are different, fresh and unique.

When the original Wicked Horse series came into our lives it was all about the complex, alpha men that ruled the Silo. Their stories were dark and sex lives taboo. Then came the Vegas series, although the concept is similar to the original series the vibe is the polar opposite (rightly so). Different locations, different characters, and different scenarios. What I don't like; the original WH series was based on the workers (we learned more about each secondary character with each book and they eventually became MC's). Unfortunately, WHV as a series are standalone books about random customers rather than people we fall in love with over time, so there's a disconnect. BUT NO MATTER WHAT "what happens in at the WH stays at the WH", only, Wicked Knight had little to do with the WH as the story progressed. It felt like the taboo world that Sawyer Bennett created was crumbling, and I was bearing witness to its demise.
Aside from my grievances, I can still admit that this is a good story by an author who remains one of my favorites. The characters are well written, their stories emotional. The connection between the two MC's was palpable and their growth as a couple endearing. I would still recommend it, but for those who expect it to be true to the WH series, be prepared.

Asher is the CEO of Knight Investment Holdings. The moment Hannah crosses his path he is ruthless in his pursuit of her including making a deal with her to accompany him to the Wicked Horse as his companion for a price. Asher has some deep routed pain that he is covering up. He is broken due to the death of his ex-wife and is just getting by each day. As he and Hannah embark on a sexual relationship sparks fly and chemistry is off the charts. Hannah has been dealt a hard hand. Her asshole ex-husband is keeping their daughter, Hope at an arms length just to be difficult. I loved Hannah’s strong, fierce, protective nature and Asher’s assertive ways. These characteristics keep things fun and interesting between them and I couldn’t get enough. The only reason I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the storyline is similar to an earlier book in the series and I was hoping for something a little different for this book that would set it apart. Regardless it was still a great read in the series and I recommend it. 4 STARS.

5 star Review Wicked Knight (The Wicked Horse Vegas # 5) by Sawyer Bennett

This is the fifth and final book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and it was smoking hot, deliciously naughty and romantic; I loved it. This is Asher Knight and Hannah Madigan’s story and may well be my favourite of the series.

Wicked Knight has all the passion and fire that we have come to expect from this series as well as soul deep emotions that really force Asher and Hannah to look deep into themselves to seek their own truths.

This book was well written and exciting to read, emotional and at times stressful as Asher and Hannah fought their emotional and personal demons to get the happily ever after they so deserved.

I really loved these characters and was intrigued as Sawyer Bennett delved into their characters.  Hot, raunchy and sexy; Wicked Knight has it all. I was glued to the pages from start to finish and I didn’t want it to end.

What a fantastic book, I devoured this in hours. Hannah sure has a tough life. At first, Asher is distant but sure is HOT, loved their chemistry. But eventually he wants to know more about Hannah. I was emotionally connected with them, even shed some tears. Will he ever open up his heart? Loved how good he was with her daughter Hope. The epilogue is so cute. This was such an enjoyable book. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

This author is usually a solid read for me. But this was a rare mis-step, and I just couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable with the whole set up. Because of the way they began, I never really believed their move into a serious relationship. It just felt a bit jarring.

There were positives though - I really liked the heroine. Even with the multitude of things happening to her (which bordered on a bit excessive) she was determined and kept her focus on what was important. I also liked the hero, and understood where he was coming from in terms of relationships. But I still thought his initial offer was creepy. There was surprisingly little in terms of sex, and very little kinky sex. I think the club only featured in one or two scenes, and most of the sex scenes were implied, not descriptive. That isn't a negative, either - it just gave the story a different feel from the other books (and in all honesty, it probably helped in terms what I felt was the problematic beginning for them).
