This one was so good ! I'm so in love with this fic. The writing was so perfect and it's so soft and domestic and lovely?? This book has never heard of miscommunication trope and I'm in love. Harry is so well written and so soft for Louis and Louis is so cute and sweet. The plot was so great and just seeing them fall in love, with the tension and the jealousy was so great. And then seeing their relationship develop knowing that they have an end date is everything. The angsty from the chapters of them apart were really really good and it's just pure and sweet? In the best way. THE WRITING is so immaculate, I am in love with the writing style and I can't believe it took me forever to read this one. This definitely deserves to be in the list with all the popular fics and I will absolutely be reading again.

Personal Summary:
The book is split into seasons and goes back and forth from Harry and Louis' POV. Harry is part of an exchange program from London to the USA and Louis is his host family. He bonds with Louis while he's there and falls in love with him. After some bonding, they do a couples contest, which they win and ends with a kiss. This is the first sign of Louis liking Harry too. Cue the tension and them trying to ignore their feelings. In-between, Louis is going on dates and Harry is jealous. Eventually, Harry goes on a date with someone too and Louis becomes jealous as well. They become better friends and eventually they become friends who kiss and sleep together. They also have a really cute sticky note tradition thing going on where they leave sticky notes to each other during Harry's stay. They fall in love and bond and show Harry parts of the USA and they show him football and his first thanksgiving and go on fancy and cute dates and they're so soft and cute together. Half of the book is just them bonding. Eventually, Harry has to go home and Louis decides to visit him for graduation. They both go to the UK and they bond and spend time there. Louis has to leave soon and they decide to break up at the airport because long distance would be impossible. They say I love you's for the first time and when Harry gets to his car he see's Louis made him a book with all of their sticky notes and pictures from their trip and it's so cute. They both try to live without each other but it's hard and miserable and we see that for a bit, a lot of angst and pining and sad emotions for a while. It gets too hard and Harry surprises Louis by moving to the US so he can be closer to him. It's cute and adorable and it ends with them moving in together later on.

this is possibly my all time favourite, which i do say a lot about fanfics but i do mean it. this fanfic has some of the best writing i’ve seen ever, in any sort of book, and im absolutely in love with it. im in love with the way louis is written. we always think of louis as like the most british ever, but if he had to be american, this is exactly how he’d act and react. this is the most louis, louis has ever been written as. i cried a river to this so good luck <3
