‘Twas THE KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS…Pull up a chair by the fire, throw a cozy crochet blanket over your lap, pour some tea and catch up with all of your favorite characters from the series as they celebrate the holiday.
“Would you like an adventure now, or should we have our tea first?” -Alice in Wonderland
Cynthia Luhrs spends her time out on the deck, looking out over the mountains, imagining what if. She writes women’s fiction, time travel romance, contemporary romance, family sagas, paranormal romance, and thrillers. Readers say her books (well not the thrillers, those are gritty) are light-hearted reads to escape reality. She lives in the mountains of North Carolina, has always been a reader, and is overly fond of sparkly flip flops and pretty pens. Though now that she lives in the mountains she’s going to have to find fabulous boots, mittens, and hats!
Christmas time is for the family to gather together in peace and love. This book is no exception to that. All of your favorite characters make appearances which is absolutely beautiful to behold. I can't spoil this book for anyone. This book is full of happy accidents and true love all around.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**
I was sad to see this series end, as it has been one of my favorites. But the way the author tied every thing and every one together was so very good. I loved catching up to each sister and their stories. An overall great read. A must add to your tbr list. Recommended.
Reading all the books in this saga of Time Traveling Romance makes following this book through all the previous episodes possible. That with a version of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Tale, made it fun. Even though I have been binging this series mostly using Kindle Unlimited, it still seemed a little disjointed. Therefore I only gave it 4 stars. As a side note, almost all the historical background is very authentic and seems accurate. For the author's information Squash, Tomatoes, Maize or Corn, peppers and eggplant are native to the New World and developed by Native Americans. No way would they have been available in Europe in the 1300s.the Chocolate and Coffee the author got right. By the way, Cotton is native to South America. Being a lifelong gardener with a passion for historical trivia is the only reason I know these things. Pineapple is native to Hawaii and Polynesia just in case you decide to add those to the ladies greenhouse, Ha ha,don't. No offense! Gourds are native American too. Keep up the good Stories, please. Oh, peppers too. Tomatoes Peppers and Eggplant are all members of the nightshade family.
Aww! I’m so sad to come to the end of this series of 12 Novels. It’s been an extraordinary journey. With each individual and what they dealt with, so many different events with each character involved is truly amazing. To have enough imagination to not have to have them meeting in the same circumstances. My only complaint would be Peters story through this as it was basically a rendition of Scrooge’s Christmas where he was visited by three Ghosts because he was such a skin flint. But the other Knight are so charming I will overlook that wee bit of copy cat. This is where some of the other characters from the other stories come together. Like the cherry on top.
I have read all but one of the other books in this series and I was very disappointed with this book. It was very confusing the way she switched back and forth between times. I was reading in my app and thought I had clicked on a different book. The story didn't flow like the previous books did.
Loved this book! Very nice way to wrap up the great series. We get closure and visits from friends and family members in previous books and I truly appreciate the weaving of the final tale in the series back to incorporate many great characters that have become like friends. Thanks for the amazing journey, well done!
Although there were many parts of this story that were enjoyable, the way it was presented was very disjointed and could have flowed so much better with the same information/story if written a little differently. I was disappointed with the disruptive sequence of this installment regarding the Merriweather time travel series.
Not my favourite instalment so far, was quite difficult remembering who everyone was and it was a bit disjointed for me.... But I guess it gets there by 75% in if you persevere...
I still maintain the relationships are all wrong between Chloe and the 3 sisters... They would be cousins, NOT her Aunts.
One star, a confusing mess..Goes from one sister to another, from the past to the present..Even a story of a Christmas Carol thrown in to try in helping it along..It and the rest of the story failed
I love time travel books and Cynthia is one of the best I laughed and cried the story was so good it keeps your attention you can't put it down I've read all in paper now I'm re reading on Kindle pick up her book and take an adventure you will love it.!!!!!
Great read told around a Christmas classic so far every book has been a quick but enjoyable read it’s been a while since I have come across a good short story
