Who Can I Run To is an emotionally, upsetting and heartbreaking read. Sadly, situations like the one in this story is common and is happening everywhere around the globe. This is one of those books that will always stay with with you and have you constantly thinking about this story. I read this book a few days ago and I'm still bothered by the events that's transpired. I felt this same way after reading Ssphire's "Push". For their that aren't familiar with that book, It's the story Lee Daniels brought to life with the movie "Precious". These type of book needs to be written but without so much detailed. That's my opinion. It hurts my heart for anyone to have been a victim and suffer, physically, emotionally and sexual abuse. To endured such heinous acts from sick twisted individuals. It turns my stomachs. This book is s good read. I loved the cover. A slight editing issue but overall a good book. I could've did without the graphic details tho. Although I would like to see how this story unfolds, I think I'll pass on part 2. Good job Ty Monee. I look forward to reading more from you. Paperback Pushers Deanna, Reviewer
I, personally think that the author should have given is one book. ‘Who can I run to’ would have been perfect as a novella. Some books don’t need a part two, three, and four.
I am most definitely looking forward to the next part. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Leon. I cringed at pedophiles like him. What he did to his own sister, his niece, ugh, is sickening. I want him to feel pain in the worse kind of way.
Tristan needs to get himself together. His whole entire household is out of order. His wife’s body ain’t even cold yet, and he screwing her Sylvia already. And, she a mess.
This book had me all in my emotions. To be a young girl that at one time thought you had it made. The perfect family and friends until the unthinkable happens. Young Kasey was put in a situation that no one not even your worst enemy should be placed in. Turns her world upside down. Kasey went from a healthy happy girl to a very damage one. Your family should be the one you run to, but is it? Family over everything is a motto that we hear often, but with family like Kaseys who need enemies. Kasey and her younger brother Kai goes through Hell and high water. Seems like every time the light shines in their favor a bulb burst. Hoping for a brighter future for them. Part 2 were are you? And the cycle never ends. We all suffer from the sins of our parnets. These two kids are trying to find love any where they can, but keep running into the same thing as their parents. Great story, love the way the author takes you back in the past , so you can see what happened to make things the way they are. Can't wait for pt2.
I can't believe Tristian is sleeping with Sylvia. Kasey and her brother are going to be real upset about. Baker is no good and I am happy that their father is out of jail. I hope in part 2, Kasey and Kaion can finally get the love and care that they deserve. This book sent me through do many emotions. I can't wait for part 2 though.
It’s so many things going on I’m at the edge of my seat yelling at my phone. Sexual abuse, addiction, child neglect....these are the things going on today and I’m glad you’re bringing light to it. The story felt very real and relatable. I loved the characters interactions and can’t wait for part two!
It was mediocre at best misspelled words and words left out. Some parts were to detailed. It had my curiosity and attention but I was disappointed by the ending that's why I gave it 3 stars.
This book reminds me of just how blessed ive been. I couldn't imagine growing up like that the pain had to be unbearable. She was a strong woman. I can't waot to read the continuing.
