Blood Bound #1

We're All Thieves: A Hot Paranormal Romance

Rate this book
Steal an heirloom. Steal a ship. Steal a glance. Steal a kiss…

Skylar D’Apra is a pirate with a plan:

First: Capture Jag Harver—the reckless thief who stole the Crest of Miracles (the most powerful relic in the realm)—and return him to the Ruling Council to suffer whatever fate he finds.

Second: Use her reward money to sail away with the makings of her very own fleet. To tame the seas and conquer undiscovered lands.

Simple.

Or so it seems until the day she actually captures the infamous Jag Harver and he turns out to be as devious, delicious and intoxicating as the rumours suggest. And it looks like the relic he stole may actually be safer in his hands than anywhere else…

Skylar swore she wouldn’t get tangled up in magic, mayhem and the madness of monsters. She vowed to claim the seas as her home and live on another day. But now something darker is calling, veering her off track, and it all began with that damned, Jag Harver.

Don’t miss this salaciously steamy pirate romance with daring damsels, cutthroat renegades and battles of men and monsters. If you loved hit TV show, Black Sails, you’ll love We’re All Thieves.

Review: We're All Thieves is a fun paranormal adventure with pirates, beasts, magic, and a lot of steamy scenes. Capturing Jag should have been the high point for the captain of the pirates, Skylar, but something about him just makes her uneasy - down there. Jag is wanted by the high council for stealing a powerful magical item. The council is a bunch of bloodsuckers (literally) who protect their part of the world for their own benefit. They don't like the fact they were stolen from and that Jag has this power that none of them have successfully wielded. Oh, and there is a rebel faction who live outside the council's protection who are not too happy with their lot in life and want revenge.

We're All Thieves started out strong with the telling of the pirates who capture Jag and their captain who begins to be conflicted between treasure and the feelings inspired by Jag. The middle of the book drags a little for me. I think it's like an action movie. You know, when the characters are required to tell you what is going on and show a little emotional conflict or else the movie doesn't make sense and it's just a bunch of people shooting guns and chasing each other in cool cars. I say that because the last 50% of the book was on fire in all ways - sex, action, conflict, romance, and sex (yes I said it twice because there is more than twice the amount than the first half of the book). No longer hampered by explaining themselves everyone's story takes off.

The book ends in a cliffhanger, but that kinda works for it. The author leaves you just on the edge.

Great read and lots of fun!

Monsters and pirates!!! 😈

Is there anything better than pirates, monsters, magic and sex i think not. I really enjoyed this book the main characters are great even all the secondary characters are great. We get lots of different points of views and even other characters storylines other than the mains 😬 a little added bonus. Everything is very well written with strong storylines. Pick up this book if you fancy something different from the norm you won't be disappointed especially if you like hot and steamy 😏. Hurry up book 2 i want to read you now 😵 😭.

This is a tale of a pirate who meets his match. She was on the ship to capture him for the money but she found something more. Tis a sweeping adventure on the high seas which convey the surroundings.

It could use more of a plot as it felt flat at times.

YES! I have to start this review off with this word because if you're thinking to yourself "Should I read this IR Romance novel?" that would be my answer. This book has revitalized my love of the IR subgenre with its imaginative world building, hot as hell lead characters, and the kind of witty banter between lovers I want to see.

Well written, awesome pacing, and a colorful cast of unforgettable characters will have you itching to see how the rest of the series pans out and I can't wait to read the next installment. The worlds of Skylar, Jag, Leonette, and company are not to be missed. Absolutely fantastic.

Thrilling, sexy, adventurous and funny! What more could you want!

Damn, damn is all I can say about this book! It book has everything! A fantasy world, terrifying monsters, sexy pirates, fiery female leads, dominating alpha males, hot scenes, sad scenes, intense scenes, shocking scenes, funny scenes.... The list could go on and on. I knew this book would be hot just from following Dyrion's page but the story is also incredible.
Skylar is such a strong female lead but she also has a soft side that's hidden behind her tough exterior, the way she threatens Jag and calls him 'Little Thief' cracks me up!
I enjoy a saucy read or two but sometimes find that the storyline gets lost in the sex scenes and nothing else major really happens.
In 'We're all Thieves' there's no chance in hell of that happening! 🤣 The hot scenes are intense (they made ME blush at times) but the story never gets lost. You could genuinely read this without the sex and it's still a fantastic book that's full of adventure👌🏻
Highly highly recommend, five out of five love it!

This book is an epic tale. It’s got betrayal, intrigue, action and lust. The characters are varied and have facets that leave you understanding, what you think are, the bad guys and wondering if their are any ‘good’ guys left. The hero and heroine are thrust into their circumstances and their connection produces some heated moments.

All round I enjoyed this book, the only thing I struggled with is the flow. For me it wasn’t quite smooth enough for me to get lost in. I definitely don’t regret continuing to the end. A promising beginning to an exciting new series.
