Antes de la existencia de las redes sociales, las radios clandestinas fueron usadas en la lucha popular contra las dictaduras latinoamericanas. Así fue en El Salvador con la Radio Venceremos: acompañaron la liberación de ese hermano pueblo y forzaron la caída de la dictadura militar para que posteriormente se firmasen los Acuerdos de Paz entre el gobierno de derecha y el Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN).

Son un ejemplo a seguir de perseverancia y amor a la Matria. Se llama así en honor a la canción "¡Venceremos!" del grupo chileno Quilapayún.
