Yawn!
To be fair she gave warning at the beginning where she said she often, “default(s) to rhyme” and has a photo of some poems that she wrote at 8 years old and were lauded at the time. Sadly what may be precocious in a child does not make a great poet in and adult. Much was related to nature but really no more insightful than a primary child’s observations.
”In the wind through the trees
See Her smile
In the sun on the leaves
Feel His Hand
Lift the love in our hearts
And open our selves to each other
Like sister and brother.”

Just lazy and lame.

Lovely poems heartfelt. Some are quite touching, some made me smile. Respite from the usual fare. I haven't read poetry in a long time. This was so enjoyable.
