I have finished reading the last book of this trilogy, and whereas I have some issues with some of the portrayals of the main characters in this book I enjoyed the underline story of the book.

I will give the author props with her creative way of thinking and taking subject matters that have been taught throughout the ages and flipping it to make it entertaining and hypothetical as hell (no pun intended). Like seriously Brianna, you've got balls girl. But I would like to thank you for writing and creating a badass heroine that could show her vulnerability and cry and show weakness but still can kick ass in the same breath and display her womanly strength. Wow, the complexities of a woman... damn that was just freaking awesome! I also love the overwhelming love the heroes had for the heroine. It was really beautiful... damn how I wish something like that was possible and if it is I've never seen it, unfortunately.

Now, there was some slow moment in this book and it took the author a minute to get to the point (too many damn wasted minutes in my opinion), but she eventually ended up writing a good story.

Overall rating:
4* ~ A Good Read

Holy Sh*t

This series was AMAZING!!! I had so much fun reading it and the whole build up to the ultimate climax (not the sexual one 😜) had me on the edge of my seat rushing to get to the end!! I kept thinking that I had figured out who the traitor was only for that theory to be blown out of the water in the next chapter. The author definitely weaved an intricate and complex storyline full of detailed characters.

I love the relationship that Sara has with Lucifer. I may be in love with this version of Satan. I really do feel bad for him and the kind of life he has lived while running Hell and I really hope he has his own happy ending. Maybe that is possible in a spin-off series? The note from Jack at the end did suggest we will see our beloved characters again. I would love to revisit them later on down the road.

Overall this series was amazing and so well developed by the author. As the reader, I could tell that the author put a lot of time and dedication into this trilogy. It has definitely been put on my “Worthy of a Re-Read” list. This was my first time reading this author and now I need to buy all of her books. She just earned a lifelong fan from this chick after reading the Hell Hounds Harem ❤️

Oh man oh man!

The Devil's Darling was pretty easy to devour (for me). Heck, I've really enjoyed all the books so far. So when it came to everyone trying to figure out who was betraying who.. well, I was left kind of dazed and confused about some things. Eventually things started to make sense but by then I just kind of felt disappointed?

Not sure if that makes sense but the entire time we were getting clues in the background.. we were kind of being let down with what was happening in front of our eyes. Or maybe that's just me. At times, things felt rushed and weren't really explained well. Then we get some little action scenes and then someone dies, cries, and comes back to life. I thought I was going to get some bad ass revenge but then that person calmed down pretty quickly.

All in all, it was an okay book. I didn't really like the ending because it felt a bit anticlimactic. We get the big reveal and the nothing. As for the little epilogue? Well, it was pretty cute but I just wanted more from the overall ending.

The Devil’s Darlings wraps up the love affair of Sara and her harem with a fun storyline & a great HEA while dropping hints for future books in the series. It was a great cheesy mess that leaves all the characters in a good place and no questions left unanswered. The only threads left open play a role in the next books story arc.

While I did really enjoy the epilogue the climax was such a letdown. The baddies were pretty much random nobodies in the book and even the villainous takedown was too easy and only mildly satisfying. There were a few close calls and heavy fights against the dark spirits but other than that I didn’t get the explosive showdown I was hoping for. I also thought it odd that there were additional POVs added that weren’t even that of Sara’s harem. It threw me off and I didn’t really love it as it’s during these times that new and complete strangers would be introduced. If this was the first book ok, but I didn’t enjoy all the new characters introduced in the final book for Sara and her men. Something that made me enjoy the first book seemed to be missing by the end of the trilogy here and I think it’s because it the story felt more like it belonged to Lucifer and all his troubles. Their only connection was being his most trusted pack and I dunno the storyline in saving hell just wasn’t that exciting to me. There’s still loads of sex filling the pages though with less MM moments than I was expecting after the last book.

I’m glad they get a HEA and all but it’s not just them I care about. The book also made me fall a little for Lucifers character and hope he has a story of his own somewhere ahead. I feel so bad hearing all he went through and now has even lost the chance to find love with his ladies as they were all killed off. It’s pretty funny how in fiction can the devil so often evoke sympathy and understanding but damn if I don’t want him to find some happiness after hearing what a shit position he’s been in. Book 1 was my favorite and it was a cute and fun series overall but I’m in no rush to read on in the series.

Wow! Just. Wow.

This series was completely unexpected! There was a real story here with real characters with a history and some depth. I can’t believe I went from 3 Stars (Book 1) to 5 stars (Book 3)! I don’t think I’ve ever done that before. I love the surprise of it!

I’ll just hit on a some things that make this book (and series) so good without getting too spoilery (I hope). I’m sorry if it sounds too vague or too general...

1) If you thought this was a rip off of another series, it’s not. It just isn’t. It may have had some similarities to others, I assure you, it’s different. I might dare to say it’s more!

2)These characters are good. Sara and her Hounds are interesting and each have their own real story. So do Lucifer (awesomeness!), Kalfu (coolness!), The Dark Truth (LOVE!), Valor and Bishop (want to dig deeper here), the Angels. Good or bad everyone has a story, and because of that I felt invested and got behind them. I cared.

3) The world. It’s an interesting take on Hell and Heaven. On Demons and Angels. On Magic and Voodoo. The world is dark and there’s pain, but there’s light there too.

4) The mystery. I thought I had an idea. It wasn’t until the halfway point of the 3rd book that I really started to guess.

5) The core of this series. There is one. Facing your shit, trust, family (however you make it).

6) It’s still steamy! I don’t need to elaborate. It just is.

This book, was fast paced and action packed, answered my questions, and left me with an overall satisfied feeling.

Briana Michaels! Briana, Briana... I’m sorry I judged so harshly at first, in the end you delivered a great story and I look forward to MORE!

PS- Briana, I’m sorry I complained about the music. We’re all entitled to belt out and turn up whatever gets us going. True, if we were on a road trip, we would maybe fight over radio stations, but I would happily turn off the radio and ask you to tell me a story.

I put so many things on hold to finish off this first trilogy. Once you dive into this world, it is seriously addictive.
Once again it jumps straight into the action. There are a thousand things going on and stakes are as high as usual, so a lot of hell hounds get grievously injured and pretty much tortured.
This book has a lot more expansion of the world building going on, along with side tales for the peripheral characters. You can tell which characters will be getting their own books, because they get chapter warmups in this one. There are probably a few too many without enough unique identifiers, they all mushed together in my head.
This is probably the sweetest version of Satan I’ve ever read. I like the twist on the mythology that he chose to be there, because he’s the most self-sacrificing of the angels and truly wants to keep the balance, no matter the cost to himself.
Though for a series that’s all about these men worshipping their woman, it’s a bit sexist. Because there’s no one else possibly like her ever in the history of the world, so Sara’s the sole female hell hound. And there’s one female gate keeper. That’s it. Everyone else doesn’t get a second chance in the afterlife, unless they’re a man. And the other female characters were basically insane (though it could be argued those two were as well). It’s not particularly balanced here, though it’s fun as hell (pun intended) so didn’t really detract from the story. It’s one of those books like a Fibonacci sequence that just explodes bigger and bigger as it goes. Very epic urban fantasy, lots of heat, and I loved the mental health aspects that were incorporated. It made them feel so much more real to have backlash and mental struggles after everything they’ve endured.
Ooh, and it has a very sweet HEAFN.

By the time I got to this book...I was over it, lol. It was entirely too much drama and the sex scenes were not hot.

I ended up reading about 30% or so and then flipped to the end. Things happened (IDK what) and then they figured it out and saved the day. From what I could suss out...the 1 person who knew the WHY it all happened - The Dark Truth - refused to give the deets. Also, her name is Magdalene and she's "a scorned woman." IDK, I was over it.

Conclusion to Sara, her Hounds, and the Devil’s story!

I really just can’t express my love for this trilogy enough, and I’m SO excited to read the next trilogy in the Hell Hound Series. This set is a reverse harem with a fierce and sassy FMC, and four protective, loyal to the bone, sexy Hounds. I want to give a little warning that the author does switch between multiple POVs, but it’s not even that each chapter has a different POV. POVs switch multiple times, even in the middle of a conversation. There was a few times I had to stop and back track a sentence or two, to figure out we’d changed POVs. It wasn’t hard to follow along though, so don’t let this deter you from reading this trilogy. This book is the conclusion to the first trilogy of the series and my word, you don’t want to miss out on this. They are not standalones and need to be read in order. The author did a great job of keeping us on our toes with the mystery of why and who killed the FMC. There’s so much emotion in these books that you feel like you’re experiencing everything right along with the characters. And my oh my, the loyalty and love between these hounds, and even their maker, the Devil himself. I really enjoyed the storyline regarding the Devil, and how he’s still shown to be an Angel, not straight evil. I’d really like to see a book about him finding love, etc. For a time there, I even wanted him to be with our FMC, also. All in all, the author did a great job writing this trilogy. Amazing character development and a suspenseful, funny, heart wrenching storyline. This trilogy has it all. Definitely going on my “To be read again and again and again” shelf.

Bloody Hell this was awesome! I want more, damnit! Gimme more! I am so in love with these characters. Especially Lucifer and Tanner. And Sara. And then Jack, Eli, Kalen. This whole trilogy was addictive. Fan-fucking-tastic. Couldn't stop reading. And that super HOT scene with Sara, Tanner and Eli... Damn... I'm gonna need MORE.

Fantastic - a must read

Wow - this is a fantastic series. Read all 3 books and must say this is now one of my favourite series. As you read each book, the story will keep you engaged, taking you on a emotional rollercoaster as you follow the journey of sara and her pack. You will fall in love with each character even Lucifer as they are all exceptionally detailed and well written. There’s plenty of steamy situations between the characters which adds to the story. The storyline throughout the three books was so well written in detail and well thought out that the books blended seemlessly and the plot will leave you intrigued and guessing right up to the very end. This is the first time I have read any of the books by this author and will definitely be putting her on my favourite list. I would love to read more of this series and see what happens to some of the other characters as there’s still some unanswered questions, which could be made into a spin off series with these. there’s definitely scope for this.

Again a fantastic series that I highly recommend to anyone. You won’t be disappointed

The Devil's Darling was an action-packed finish to this first trilogy. We finally uncover the truth behind Sara's death, and the traitor that's been trying to weaken the boundaries of Hell.

Michaels builds in hints that helped make me suspicious of the traitor, so the big reveal was a confirmation for me rather than a giant shock. I could definitely see how some readers might be totally taken by surprise though. There are some red herrings that are totally believable, and they really did lead me down the wrong path at first.

I continue to just fall more in love with Sara, her hounds, and Lucifer. I really can't wait until Michaels puts out the next story in their universe. There are some big things coming that promise to be full of adventure, comedy, and drama for the pack. I really hope that we pick up soon after the end of book three, so we get to watch these big changes come.

Lucifer is also going to be facing some big consequences for the choices he has to make in the big battle against the traitor and the malanum. I'm a little worried because I love his character, and I'm hoping that he won't lose those snarky, compassionate elements that make him one of my favorite recent renditions of Lucifer.

I highly recommend that fans of the series take the time to read this third installment. You'll be glad you did :)

Review for the entire trilogy:

I went into this series completely blind, I had never read anything by Briana Michaels and I didn't know anything about the trilogy.

BRIANA! This was incredible. I was immediately sucked into the story and read all of them in like two days. I loved every single character although Tanner and Lucifer are probably my favorites. :)

Fav thing about the series: I truly felt like each of the guys loved the heroine as well as loved and respected each other. Having a reverse harem where all of the guys love the one girl is freaking great and all, but it melts my little black soul when they love and fight for each other as well.

Wow, wow! Holy hells balls! I did not expect that ending. I had my suspicions of who was the traitor, but was wrong with the individual. I'm curious about Valor to. I wonder if he will find a mate as well. There is much still for the other packs and events will be unfolding since the book is missing. As for what's in the book, I'm not really sure?? I was also surprised at the end with Sara and her pack. I'm not going to say anything here because one must read all three to fully grab all the gist of what is going on. Let's just say I can see Lucifer being even more protective. I can't wait to find out his reaction!! And perhaps we can even see more of his brothers and if they are true to their word. I hope we won't have to wait long Briana!! This was an amazing ending to the third book. I really can't wait for the next and hope I won't have to wait long for more. Briana is just an incredible author and this series was deliciousness, dark, and pure food for more ravenous mouths.

Fantastic!

The third book in this RH series carefully avoided the continuation curse, finding the groove while pushing the plot to a finality that satisfies, even as it leaves the path open to future installments in this complex world. Villains aren’t really evil, friends are not always good and the Devil is always in the details!

This entire series is solid.

I enjoyed this trilogy, it’s quite an amazing concept to think of the Devil being good, I didn’t see the twist I actually thought it was one of the brothers, and definitely not who it ended up being!
But that ending!!!
We need at least one more book!

This is the 3rd book in the Hell Hounds Harem series, and it is intense. Sara and the Hounds are still trying to find out who the traitor is - and the road to discovery is a roller coaster. I was about in tears at a couple points. Sara’s resilience and core of strength are amazing. Tanner is one of my faves - he isn’t just Sunshine Boy, he also is strong for Sara. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

While I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first two books of the trilogy, the last book somewhat fell apart for me. Too many new characters were introduced to move the plot along, and new facets of personalities were revealed with no consistency of reason.

Although I still had no trouble enjoying the writing and finishing the book, overall, the plot was a bit too messy and convoluted for a single book. I do still fully recommend this series though, as it's a wonderful world and kick-ass characters.

UPDATE: After having finishing the entire series...

Brilliant end to this trilogy.

The author manages to keep you guessing as to who the traitor is and just when you think you know who it is, things change yet again.

Filled with suspense, action and steamy scenes, this book is written from a multiple pov allowing the reader to know everyone's thoughts. As with the previous 2 books in this trilogy, this book has once again emotional times and humorous times, making for good reading.

I would recommend this book (i.e. trilogy) for lovers of hot RH, fantasy reads.

Note: Although this book has a hea, it should not be read as a standalone and follows after events taking place in the first 2 books.

Well, I finished the first trilogy. This is one of those series that everyone told me I would absolutely *love* so I tried really, really hard to like it. But in the end, I felt that the books spent too much time in the characters heads. While the overall plot itself was good, all of the action was happening outside the book while the reader is listening to the characters internal monologue. There just wasn't enough action or dialogue to keep me engaged. I also must note that the formatting in the kindle book was somewhat distracting and jarring.
